Hi Thomas, your videos are amazingly informative. You've done a great amount of research on the Etoro and these 3 guys. i just have one question, why don't you invest more money, I can see it's just around 1000$ which can be increased substantially and make it more profitable..
How is it a good idea to copy a trader while both of you on different time and date, which makes what he brought when the stock was down, for example, different then the price you are going to get. Can you be clear on this, Please ?
Hi Thomas, do you think Etoro is a secure place to keep a few thousand pounds in?, and when you withdraw your money how long does it take to go back into your account.
Hi Gordon - I wouldn't like to advise you on that as I'm not a pro - this is just my experience so far... If the question is 'Would I keep $3000 in there?" Then yes, I've got around $1,700 in there at the moment, and I'm going to add another $1000 this week. How safe is it? I can't say definitively. I've been using it for a little over a year and it's been fine. I've added money, and made withdrawals without a problem. At the moment I see a lot of people complaining about support response times and how long it's taking to process withdrawals - apparently Etoro has become swamped by people looking to buy cryptos, and it's slowed everything down for now... Ususally, they say withdrawals should take up to 5 working days, but I can't vouch for that... You can find their info on their help page : www.etoro.com/en/customer-service/withdraw-faq/ hope that helps a bit!
Hey so I wanted to ask. Do I have to add them fees on top of my profit and loss amount. Reason for the comment is I worry that when I look at my portfolio it says I have made or lost a certain figure on the copy. But I have a feeling that figure is incorrect. I need to add the fees to that amount and then that really gives me a true reflection on what I really have made on a copy. I cannot get a clear answer anywhere and I’m struggling to calculate it.
In your portfolio, there's the invested amount (which is best to change to 'net invested' if you've added and removed funds over time), then there's the profit and loss colums, and you can also add the 'fees' column (i usually do) - then on the right you can see the 'value' column for each copy. The value, as far as i can see, it the profit / loss minus any fees or plus any credits in the fees column. It's the actual amount that you'd get if you stopped the copy right now, as far as i can tell.
Hello everyone. I'm here to probably ruin the dreams you have about copy trading ☹ I just watched a video with the title "Anton Kreil Annihilates Retail Brokers and "Trading Educators" He talks about pretty much everything you want to know if you don't want to be taken advantage of. At 1:44:31 he will start talking about copy trading. @Social Trading Vlog, please let us know what your opinion on copy trading is after watching that video. I'm totally lost at the moment. Not sure what i should do next, where i should invest my money.
Hi man, yeah, Anton Kriel's great :) seriously, I love that video. I mentioned him in my "Trading resources" video actually... I did check out other sites before Etoro, and to be honest I got the feeling that it could just be a bunch of bots (and not the useful HFT bots, but rubbish ones) I'm not sure how many fake profiles there are on Etoro, but I'm pretty sure Jaynemesis - the prinicpal guy i'm copying is real - he has livestreams and stuff which I've watched, so unless he's a total actor, I think he, at least is legit. I'm not sure what to say about where to invest. My parents are asking me about whether they should try Etoro too, and it's one thing when it comes to my small amount of money, but when it's my parents' money and they can't afford to lose it, it's a whole different story... It's a risky thing - i think all this trading type stuff is, but so far, they haven't stolen my money, or acted out of line... so, for now, i'm ok with it and still involved.
Great videos as always!! Regarding traders and leverage, how can I copy a trader but at the same time opt out of any leverage (if the trader decides to use leverage)?
Hey there - thanks :) You can't do that unfortunately. When you copy someone, you copy their trade parameters on all trades - so the leverage is not negotiable.
Do you mean their take profits and stop losses on individual trades? Yeah - everything about the trades is copied. The proportion of capital used, the asset bought or sold, any leverage applied, the take profit, the stop loss - it's all copied.
A while - especially at the moment I think - their whole system seems to be slowing down due to the amount of new sign-ups (Bitcoin fever!) It could take a while. My mum's been trying to get her account verified for almost 2 weeks at the moment.
thanks for all your videos, helping me a lot. Are there any fees that we pay from starting or ending a copy? I know people have said that we shouldn’t worry about fees because it’s the guy being copied that will worry about them for us, but like, we are usually invested with smaller amounts so I’m worried that he would make a profit on something of say (5usd) but for us that only just covers the fees whereas his large investment then 5usd means nothing.
Hey there - as far as I'm aware, there isn't actually a fee to open or close a copy, but the normal fees will apply (spread/ overnight / weekend) so if the trader is really racking up fees, then yes, it can seriously eat into the profits they're making you. I have this at the moment with my copy of Alnayef...
Hi there Terry - it's a good idea. I was having trouble with the trailing stop loss though - I found, a couple of times, that if i set a normal stop loss when i opened a new trade, and then, whilst the trade was active, I went in and edited the stop loss - changing it into a trailing stop loss, it wouldn't trigger when the trailing stop loss should have been triggered and it just stayed at the old "static" stop loss level. It was very annoying, so I don't trust it now, unless I set it as trailing right from when i open the trade...
Hi there - I've only been on it for just over a year - and right at the beginning, in the second month, i tried to just trade myself completely without knowing what i was doing, and lost around 38% in 1 month, so I've slowly made that back over the first year. Then I had made over 30% back trading myself, but I got greedy, and didn't take care of my risk management, and lost the 30% again :) So at the moment I'm just copytrading, and I made 36% in November, and 4.8% so far this month. It's been a rollercoaster. If I'd just left it copying certain people, I'd be way up by now. Whatever though, I've been learning :)
Thank you so much, I lost £50 first day of trading so I started watching most your videos, thanks for your reply and insight, very useful, and I almost made it all back copying ...yeah I know I should have watched it first but I watched other things first before I found your videos... I've been waiting 2decades to try trading, I was reading books but it's not like trading at all you learn so much more with virtual portfolio and trying with small amount...
I think it really does take a while to learn though - and so much of it is about learning to detach and control my emotions and greed and stuff. It's a great subject - but I'm SO glad that I'm copytrading right now. Even though the bitcoin price has gone through the roof and I keep thinking"oh my god, look how much money I could have made!" But that is also the type of thinking which has consistently lost me money. They say "aim to get rich slowly and you'll get there." They also say that aiming to get rich quick is the fastest way to lose everything. I think they might be right. Otherwise, I may win this time, but I'll keep doing it until I lose.
Hello, i am from India can I trade on etorro. How to withdraw money if I invest through PayPal India account, will it be credited to my PayPal account if I withdraw, can you suggest a method to withdraw.
Hi there - I believe that when you withdraw from Etoro, they transfer your funds back to whichever source you credited them from, but if there's any doubt whatsoever, I'd suggest contacting Etoro directly and asking them - you don't want anything to go wrong with that one! :)
Thank you so much for your videos.
I'm watching all of your videos and it is really helping me a lot.
May god bless you.
You too! Thank you :)

Very useful video. Thanks.

cool and intresting video. are you gonna do a video on the new "Invest in copyFunds"?
Thanks a lot. I've already made one on copyfunds : ruclips.net/video/ZMxyrNTvC9Y/видео.html
Is that what you meant?
just the new "invest in copyfunds" option under copy people on etoro
yep - that's the video in the link above :) Hope it helps!

Is the fees including in the P/L? Or should I think profit - the fees to get the ''real profit''?
as far as I know, the profit already has the fees accounted for in it.
Thanks! Great videos, subbed!
What do you think of 1broker is it better or worse than etoro?
Hi there Zafran - I don't have any experience of it, so I can't really say unfortunately...

If in doubt, maybe try the virtual account for a while...
Social Trading Vlog do u have to be verified to create a virtual account?
How long does it take for etoro to verify an account mine is just on pending
A while - especially at the moment I think - their whole system seems to be slowing down due to the amount of new sign-ups (Bitcoin fever!) It could take a while. My mum's been trying to get her account verified for almost 2 weeks at the moment.
Do I need to pay overnight fees if I am trading regular stocks and not using leverage.
Ps. Thank you Thom, you are really helping me out :)

How about a video about ”Trailing stop loss” the option at stop loss.
Function, how to use and a example would be nice.
Hi there Terry - it's a good idea. How much have you made every year since you started, average?

I keep hearing that withdrawal is almost impossible.
Is there anyone here who can dispute that? Can anyone confirm that withdrawal is straightforward?
From my trading account, so far, yes it all went smoothly. I've had problems as an affiliate but not with my trading account. So far.
Great videos really appreciate them... just recently joined Etoro and has been achieving amazing return with the "CryptoFund"
Thanks :) Yeah - that must have been an amazing return over the last month. Good timing! And now Ripple ...
