Thank you so much for this, it's almost a Copy Trader For Dummies edition. After 4 days with copying another trader with a balance of 0.08% I understand more about why. Still no movement from the copy trade, but I will wait.
Thanks so much :) I'm going to try out a site like Patreon called buymeacoffee, so I added you as a free member - thanks for the support on patreon! I'm going to try to switch to this new one I think. We'll see. Hope you're well.
Hey there - I'd made a whole tutorial series about it, but I got an email from eToro a couple of months ago saying I had to take it down and stop referring to the wallet. No idea why (Unless I was badly mistaken and shouldn't have deleted it...) I was just wondering whether I should follow up with them on that. I will, as obviously now's a good time to talk about it.
Hey, thanks for sharing your point of view. When we copy portfolios, regardless of how much the popular investor is investing, we no longer receive interests payments from etoro (up to 5.3% p.a.). On the other hand, the popular investor receives their payment from etoro (assets under management). In my opinion, traders are more likely to quit copying popular investors who only use a small amount of their portfolio.
Great educational videos, I've learnt so much from you. Question, I've only been in the game since mid January, 100% profitable weeks up 11% so far, is this just luck?
@SocialTrading no previous experience just a friend who said I should get into investing. How do you get away from the temptation to check your portfolio all the time?
Your nerves get wrecked by watching all the time and eventually you burn out and need to let it go a bit :) OR you become a serious trader and develop such cold hard discipline on your trades that you don’t have to check so often. Or something* I’m not quite sure.
I'm new to investing. paper only now, but up7% in my first month. It would be 3x that but I get blocked from Pattern day Trading rules,. Real money soon. I'm going to be a momentum scalper. Trading the open to 11:30. The action is over by then and you can cash out and go about your day.@@master_baiter_9546
Are we able to set it up so it copies the trade idea but we set our own maximum risk %? Like for the guys who are profitable but risk 20-25% on a trade, I would never be comfortable with that but if they are consistently profitable I would still want to copy them but set my own risk %.
It’s not possible as far as I know… we basically have to look at their results and trust their methodology for achieving that. We can close individual trades which they’ve opened but that’s about it.
A little I think, but I've made a lot of bad choices, and haven't really taken it very seriously for the last couple of years to be honest - I just sort of parked my money and wanted it to stay stable, which it did - I wasn't really thinking in terms of making profits, but I've completely changed my portfolio now, and hopefully these guys can make me some gains. Hopefully you'll learn faster than me :)
Hello, trying to be polite in the way I will ask :) 1st of all thanks for all the info. I am new to trading, but I am using. Binance app, and more specifically Copy trading. It is imp to note that the app gives you 2 options when you want to copy someone; either with fixed ratio which you were sleaking about in the video, and the 2nd option FIXED AMOUNT, where you can allocate a fixed amount for the transactions done by the copy leader. Do you have any idea about this option, is it more profitable/riskier? I mean that would be giving us the control of how much money of our capital we would give the leader to use in each transaction. To note that all copy leaders tell you (advise you) which is written under their name, to use fixed ratio and not fixed amount. I donno why they specify this, maybe there is a risk of liquidation? If you can kindly assist in this. Have a great day. Jimmy
Hi Tom great video. I am from Australia and eToro has restricted my access to cfd trades because I don’t have the relevant knowledge or experience (they are correct I do not know what I’m doing) I was able to trade cfd’s when I opened my account but not now. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how to fix it. I want to learn and I do realise I will probably lose money.
Hey there - firstly thanks :) secondly - I’m not sure at all. Do you think it’s possible that they’re reacting to the answers you gave in that questionnaire you fill in when you sign up? It’s part of all of our profiles - they ask us about our risk tolerance and experience etc. have you tried asking eToro directly?
Embarrassingly I did not consider this, this now changes the way I structure my portfolio. I guess away to help mitigate excess funds would be to add a lot more investors to the portfolio but not stretch yourself out too thin on any one copy.
I really just look at their results - some use most of my invested money, and others use very little, but if they have similar profit and risk stats, I'm fine with however much of my copied funds they're using...
🏆 an Oscar for this short film on the boat ! haha great video as usual :)
I’d like to thank the academy and everyone watching my channel for this award :)

Hi can i copy etero traders with an funded account
Have you tried using the etoro wallet feature? If so an explainer video would be great for us novices 😁

Quick question. Did you make any money on etoro after all this years?

I am still copying Javier. I didn't like the way he was shorting the Nasdaq so I closed out that position.
How’s he doing overall? I haven’t been watching since I stopped copying him. I’ll go and check
He has been flat for a while. @@SocialTrading
