When I was new to eToro, I pretty much instantly started losing money by trading irresponsibly. I took too much risk, I traded assets I didn't understand, in markets I had zero experience with.
It was a recipe for failure.
So what's the winning strategy? How can we avoid the mistakes most new retail investors make and start earning some profits sustainably over the long term?
I have a look at a few of the things I've learnt in the last 5 years, and wonder if I can become part of that small percentage of people who find the smart way to invest their money and see returns compounding over their lifetimes.

Hehe. The thought was really about just how much money the billionaires can make with just a 5% return, but then I started to think about just how much I think we often expect from the small amount we’re able to upload. It’s a real difficult idea to get to grips with.

Hello sir. Is Etoro safe for long term investment? I plan to invest all my savings in etoro. Is ta safe more or reliable? What if the market crash, what will happen to our money if etoro go bankrupt
Hi there - I wouldn't class any form of investing as safe really. It's always very risky. But I think what you mean is the platform itself - all I can really say is that I've had money in eToro (although not huge amounts)since 2016, and I haven't had any problems getting my money out or anything. That's the only experience I really have. I know that there are insurance systems, but they're different in different parts of the world and insure different sums of money against the possibility of bankruptcy.
I found some info on this page, but it's only for people who are members of specific customer tiers on eToro, which requires a certain amount of money in your account:

They seem to have moved their information about this around a bit, and I'll take some time to find it, and maybe make a vid. I'm not completely sure anymore...

x10 is extremely risky! You get liquidated at 5% stock lost!
And a 5% move isn’t uncommon at all. Most likely though, seeing it drop so fast with even a 3% move, the shock and panic would be overwhelming and I’d close at a vast loss. It was a really bad strategy for me - it was basically guaranteed to lock in losses.
On 1 winner there is thousands losers. In trading like in lottery. Even sone experts lose.
Yeah, if you look at the copyfunds which are the managed ones new where they’re meant to reflect the trading of a pro, you can see how down many of them are.

Yesterday I put most my savings in etoro just to become gold tier 🤦
What's the benefit at Gold tier? I heard one of the PIs saying that he's getting an interest rate on his idle money but I'm not sure what level you need to be at for that to happen...
@@SocialTrading $10k minimum is gold tier and the interest for that would be 2% on account balance.
Silver tier is pretty much the same as gold but pays no interest.
@@RampinRabit it's 2% per month for total balance? that's 24% per year. Maybe we just get Gold Tier and take 24% interest per year? why still need copy trader? haha

You will never get rich on etoro. They are liars and are deceptive. You will lose your money.
