I think the only reason some gave a dislike was because they couldn't understand what he was saying. He has what used to be called, a"thick" accent. I am 69 yrs and am floored listening to him. Just knocked out. He's the best artist ever. Master musician; God given talent.

Ben Howard lived in the same place as I currently do when he was younger, and he moved to where my best friend moved to (Devon).

Ben howard is one of my favorite artists, he's an amazing musician, and my mum introduced me small hours by john martyn and i fell in love, then i found couldn't love you more, and then discovered this... my life is well and truly complete.
I am so glad @dnm5555 posted this. Couldn't Love You More is one of my favourite songs and helped me through a dark time in my life with the loss of my Granddad. I genuinely just cried listening to this version for the first time, and I'm not scared to admit that to anyone as a 17 year old lad. I just wish Ben Howard could know this.
Ben Howard puts his guts on the table. Fabulous cover! Like all the great artists, he brings his own personality.,interpretation and guitar playing. This song, in its classic version is easy to play on a guitar but not easy to sing.

This is my favourite JM song, especially in the version given on a Grey Whistle Test appearance fairly near the end. This is an amazing cover, even if I still prefer the raw emotionality of the original. Shame about the chattering audience (strictly speaking, not an audience if they ain't listening!). Never easy to cover John Martyn's open tuning. A young artist who also counts John Martyn as a massive inspiration is Ben Denny Mo, who did a pretty good job covering Couldn't Love You More.
