Here following a thread on Reddit. I love that after years as a BH fan can still be unearthing absolute gems. This would sit beautifully on the IFWWW tour.
honestly, I like it in this video. It sets the tone of being alone in a crowded room. Which im sure almost all of us have experienced at somepoint. Overall however I don't like people talking in concerts.
How tf could you not stop in your tracks hearing this in a bar!!! Very few things I’ll ever experience in my life that could make me forget everything else in life, Ben Howard music and my daughter thats it!!
Wish he would release all of his unreleased songs one day into a collection.... even if they're not mastered I wouldn't care. I know we're probably even more attached to them as we only have live versions but damn... they are beautiful
It's hard to listen to Ben's music, because I start to hate my own music. He is just so good I don't think anyone will ever be able to express their feelings the way Ben does, it just seems like every emotion he feels turns into a perfect song. I don't even know how to describe it...
Ben is so good cause there's very little filter on the emotions, with my own music (I also idolise Ben) I just tried to be as free and honest as I could, its a jumbledly ugly mess at first but then you increasingly develop sophistication with time. At least in my experience for me, when im best its just honestly raw even for just one moment, ben however is truly masterful with expressing it. As for your music best of luck I'd love to hear it, love to listen to any artists who enjoy this kind of musical experience. All kindred spirits here :)
Hey man, do your own thing. Make your music for you first and don't compare. Bring something new to this world. The more music the better! Be influenced, but be you. Be the conglomeration of what you love, then show us.
Tracks like this remind me why I fell in love with Ben’s music. He’s just in his own lane. So emotive and captivating. His creativity with the guitar and his vocal are just spellbinding!! Also, does anyone else hear where Ben got the idea for the ‘I come here to borrow time’ in The Burren? Thanks for the upload man!
Wow!! Dreams do come true! Been wishing for full version of this song for years. It doesn't disappoint - just brilliant! Now to find a "clean" version without all the background noise...Thank you Kier!
@@kier. That's a pity. To be honest, I do love this recording, the way it's captured India's playing and Ben just lost in the song. I'll be pushing the viewing figures up over the coming months..
Now it seems our bodies Start to show the strain of it Hatred was not how i wanted to remember it Love is just a monster babe I saw you conquer it Nothing in my quiet days Will ever make me long for death I, I would love you more if I could I, I would love you more if I could I, I would love you more if I could I, I would love you more if I could Thats just the way it is Thats just the fading mind Bitter taste of it Bitter taste of mine Now it seems are bodies Start to feel the strain of it Hatred was not how i wanted to remember it
I love Ben Howard so much. super talented, he makes me think of a younger, hippy-er and more chilled version of Fleetwood Mac's Lyndsey Buckingham with the cool guitar solos and trilling. They both taught themselves how to play the guitar and how to do that picking the strings thing they do. amazing
Amazing, thanks for the upload. Definitely in a similar tuning as The Burren! Trying to figure it out. Never heard this one before. India’s stringwork complements it so well ❤️
Omg is this new?? It sounds like it was written when the Burgh Island EP was but I've never heard of this somehow. Either way, thank you for the upload!!
@@curlew. legend, worked out a version a while ago with capo on 7th with 6th string open (not how he plays it i know). Sounds close but not perfect...so i shall now try this 😁

His shows are such an emotional experience...how people can't stop talking blows my mind.

Most of his tunes are better live

When Keir uploads more Ben Howard music than Ben Howard himself xD...
Thanks for sharing this beauty.

To me it's one of the most wonderful things to listen to him humming.
You are an absolute treasure my friend. Thank you for finding these!

I think a “clean” version was never actually made :D

First time I’ve heard this one by Ben, love it. I do miss the days him and India did this sort of beautiful art
Nothing short of exceptional. Time to whip the good headphones out for another listen.

Anyone worked out the tuning and stuff yet????
CGA*GFC. Capo 5th fret 5th & 6th strings open 🤙

What is this? A new song?
Has the same feel as the burren
Is this a new track?
No, very old unreleased
@@iketyke7324 its a cover if i remember correctly
@@hashpipe710 It’s an early Ben song. It does have a similar title to a John Martyn song that he covered though. ‘Couldn’t Love you More’. Both great
Perfection off a heartfellt rapsody
