The crazy thing about Michael Schumacher is he left a proven wining team to go to a at the times non competitive Ferrari team. People thought he was nuts but he eventually got Ferrari back on track. Probably cost him a couple championships though.

    • @bloqk16
      @bloqk16 Год назад +33

Don't forget that a major force that got Ferrari back into championship contention was with Ross Brawn leaving Benetton and went to Ferrari as its technical director; where, coincidentally, Brawn was also the tech director for Benetton when Schumacher won his championships on that team.

    • @user-2203xyz

      2023 is what separates Schumacher
from Senna, Hamilton etc.... he could galvanise and lead a team like none else. He could win with a dog of a
car like in 96, 97 and his ability to
      develop a car was legendary.
not forget it was Schumacher working at Mercedes for 3years that set
      development path that still sees
them win championships. He is was the greatest all round driver ever.
2023 Hamilton has demonstrated that he's incapable of pushing or developing a car and relies on the team .. there woundnt be any championships for Ferrari if Michael wasnt there ..

Senna is for me the biggest “what if” in the history of the sport.
94 he died, in 94 Damon got the vice championship only losing cause Schumacher hit him in the last race, Senna was miles better than Damon.
95 Senna would have car to win again, but let’s give it to Schumacher.
96, that’s Damon, Senna could win again (with 36 and his fifth illusional title).
97 that’s Villeneuve, Williams with another car capable of winning a title, could be sixth, with 37.
98 and 99 two wins for Mika, nothing new.
Senna could retire now with 40 years, but he always said that his dream was drive for Ferrari before retiring.
    00 Ferrari hegemony starts.

Yes, I agree. He would've won the 96-97 seasons easily. 98-99 were another lackluster years for Williams, and that's why I think Senna would have retired at the end of the 1999 season. Maybe in another dimension Senna survived and lived a happy and long life.

Schumacher's Ferrari dominance didn't come from major regulation changes. They just evolved/progressed naturally. They started dominating in the middle of an era not right from the start of an era. At the start of the era when Schumacher won 5 titles in a row, McLaren or Williams were the best teams for multiple years.
Mercedes' dominance came from the 2014 reg changes, that changed F1 a lot. The new turbo hybrid V6 engines were lobbied by Mercedes & Renault, and it greatly turned out in Merc's favor, since Mercedes had been developing those engines since the late 2000s, while Renault missed the mark big time despite being in favor of it.
In 2014, Mercedes' engine was multiple years ahead of the competition. It took Ferrari 4 years to finally catch up to Mercedes' engine quality. Honda didn't catch up until 2021, and Renault never catched up till this day. The token system in introduced alongside the new 2014 engine and aero regs, also ensured that teams would make slow progress, which meant that Mercedes dominance was locked in for years.

Senna legend off chart - Schumi the perfection - Hunt absolute superstar, his race at Fuji in 1976 under the pouring rain was a deed of bravery really impressing perhaps he knew that race was the only chance to be a WC in F1 and He did it prooving what a great driver he was, I admit that others were better but GILLES VILLNEUVE and JAMES HUNT are my favourite drivers just because they personified what means to be a driver: GO FASTER THAN THE LIGHT ANY CASE ANY TIME.
SENNA WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST for me he is the real M Jordan or Maradona in car racing, he could win with a micromachine under his ass, If He wouldn't have died so prematurely he could have easely win at least 3 more titles.

E così mi restano i bei ricordi! Like 15393
