I had that lovely tune as my morning alarm call for many a year ( trying to start the dreary working day on a positive note ! ) have played the D bit for years but never ventured any further as it looked too much. Nice one Rob. I've tried this song before and struggled. I'll definitely give it another go. Basic Chords aren't too much of a problem for me now but my picking needs work. I know you did a bit about picking several months ago, and i need to go back to that and get it down. Thanks for your easy teaching style , energy and enthusiasm. Top job
Great lesson as always Rob. The chords are straight forward but I struggle with picking out the melody notes of the chord while strumming.
You'll get it if you keep at it, I never thought I would. But I'm getting there. And Robs new video has just shown me several bits I'm getting wrong,.... Now I'll be up for hours... Living it

Yeah -- that's definitely the sticking point for me, too. So hard to hit just that *one* string you need to hit whilst also strumming the rest of the chord. Crazy difficult, that! I think if I can ever master this, I can finally graduate from "beginner" to "intermediate."
Norwegian Wood and Neil Youngs Needle and the Damage Done are examples of melody notes and strumming which I'm still working on.

I guess I've been following you for awhile now, because this is the 3rd or 4th video of yours that I've come across recently where I've said to myself, "I thought he already did this song." 😂
I love the newly re-done videos, because you always go into more depth than you did originally -- so it's totally worth it to watch the new videos. This song is still a bit beyond my abilities, but I think I'm much closer now -- thanks to this lesson. This is one of my favorite songs ever -- I really need to sit down and work on it more.
Yep. I recorded it 3 or 4 years ago. Lots more subscribers since then who’ve missed it. Better quality this time around too and it’s all in the one lesson, not 3 parts as it was last time.
