  • In this video, my wife takes the Cybertruck’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) for a spin and shares her unfiltered thoughts on the experience! From the first moments behind the wheel (or should we say watching the wheel?) to her candid reaction to FSD’s handling, you’ll get a firsthand look at what it's like to trust the Cybertruck's autonomous driving. Is it smooth sailing or nerve-wracking? Watch to see if FSD lives up to the hype and if she’d do it again!

Actually after a couple more hours of driving after the first time, the drive starts to become more relaxing. First time users needs to relax and start to better trust FSD. Be attentive and be a defensive driver which is easier with FSD enabled since it keeps the car in the lane until it has to make turn where the driver has to supervise. Thanks for posting. :)

So I wanted to add something to my observation on your video, as to having a 1st time driver who’s had no real experience with either driving a Tesla, and particularly in driving a Tesla using FSD.
So I would say to someone just starting to become acquainted with the system, that it’s okay, and I would insist that you keep your hands on the steering wheel, after you engage the system, in fact, I prefer that you do so, because it is our responsibility to maintain control of our vehicle, as we may need to brake in certain situations, particularly if it makes you uncomfortable.
So as a beginner, I would say, stay alert, use the system as it intended, and there’s nothing wrong, in fact I insist that you keep your hands on the steering wheel until you become more confident, more sure that you know predictively what the system can and cannot do in certain situations, because it can be quite jarring if the car does something unexpected, because that will cause some people not use the system, and that’s exactly the opposite of what Tesla wants to have happened here for obvious reasons.
So we should never forget that, that maintaining control of our cars, is our responsibility, as licensed drivers, because the laws governing the use of motor vehicles have not changed, and even though the car can do certain things, it’s still our responsibility as licensed drivers to always maintain control over our vehicles on public highways/streets/roads, etc. cheers 🥂

_keep your hands on the steering wheel until you become more confident_
NHTSA has found that when folks do this with Autopilot, it's easy to overtorque the wheel and inadvertently disengage TACC, which led directly to 55 crashes. Like I said, this applied to Autopilot; but there's no reason to believe it wouldn't apply equally to FSD.

So when FSD was 1st released in 2019, it was FSD beta, which meant that it was experimental, and now with the release of vision only, they have enough confidence, to renamed it, FSD supervised, because you still have to pay attention to the road, and so this is hard stuff, because if it was easy, why wouldn’t their competitors have already done it?
The reason is because it’s not easy, this is difficult stuff to accomplish, and also the liability that goes along with having FSD, unsupervised, meaning you don’t have to pay attention to the road anymore, and that’s exactly what’s going to have to happen if they’re going to be able to release a fleet of Robo taxis in the very near future, or if they’re going to actually allow us to have, version 13, and if that should happen, think about the liability to Tesla, because essentially what you’re saying is that I the, driver, no longer have the responsibility for what the car does, even if it crashes into something.
So with 1 million or more cars on the road today and Tesla announce it sometime next year, that they are releasing FSD unsupervised, meaning that I no longer have to pay attention to the road or what the car is doing, and that’s a huge liability on Tesla don’t you think?

The software is not finished yet and that's why you need to supervise.

The main reason for "baby sitting" the vehicle, is because of legislation, not because the vehicle requires it!!!! It is rules and legislation that "forces" Tesla to ensure you still monitors the vehicle, not because the vehicle, or FSD, requires you to do so!

Even without regulatory restrictions, Tesla knows FSD Supervised is not yet ready to drive unsupervised; it's in the name.
