Got lucky on this one. Local antique store that is piled high with stuff, had this hanging on a nail in the old tool section of the store. Just happened to spot it.
I was in no way looking for anything like this, but with much of what I have collected, I just come upon things, and usually at a very good price. I did most of the research after I brought it home, and as I say, there is not another like this done up in a video. Thanks Rifleman Moore!
I have always been amazed by people who can look at something like that and not think military. On the other hand my wife tells me that there's 30 shades of red and I can't tell the difference. Thanks for the video.
The antique dealer, as with most, has way more lamps, dishes, furniture, etc. the odd military item he may pick up is not his specialty. I have found some of my best deals this way. Those that sell just military know what the have got and usually want huge dollars. They can also be very difficult to haggle with.
Hi from South Africa. I have a 5 pouch Bandolier with the CK stamp etc . I'm assuming it came over during the boer war since the Canadianswere here during that period. Or possiblr the 2nd world war when South Africa was part of the Commonwealth. Thanks for the informative video.
