Johnathon Barker Yeah they got some of the deleted scenes on the bonus disc but not all. :( What they couldn't put in the cut they should have put in the special features
Imagine if there'd been a scene earlier in the film where Peter actually meets Flint Marko's daughter Penny, and learned the truth while he was still under the impression that he'd actually killed Sandman? It would be then that Peter would realize just what he had done. In his carelessness, and selfishness, he'd taken a sick little girl's father away from her, not avenged his Uncle Ben's death on a cold-blooded murderer. As this realization sinks in, he would recall Aunt May's words "Revenge is like a poison. It takes us over. And before you know it, it turns you into something ugly.", and possibly even Uncle Ben's words "With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility". Peter runs away in horrified remorse, and, this coupled with how he'd hurt MJ, and Harry, is what makes Peter finally get rid of the black suit. Later, Peter not only tries to give back the wedding ring to Aunt May, but he also almost quits being Spider-Man again, believing that he'd failed as a hero. But then, Venom, and Sandman make their movie in the climax, forcing Peter back into action.
A great scenario for the development of events. No worse (and maybe even better) than in the original. To hurt your beloved girl is also a powerful push to get rid of the symbiote, I do not argue. But what you have described is a level higher.
Another thing that made Spiderman 3 fail was that it had to many villians/antagonists. It had Peter(Spiderman) vs The New Goblin, Spiderman vs the Sandman, and Spiderman vs Venom. This would've been the most emotional scene ever, why did they cut it... ?! :( Its very wierd to see an amazing scene that was never shown before, 10 years later :D
Apparently, the reason why this scene was cut was because the movie was too long when all the material from the reshoots went in and the filmmakers felt that Sandman looking at Penny's photo in the locket after he reformed conveyed the same feeling. Of course, it didn't really convey that same feeling after all. Just having that shot wasn’t enough to explain what his motivations for going after Spider-Man in the climax are, because we’ve seen that same kind of shot being played out in previous scenes in a different context.
It's kinda a pun lol,coz indeed they did as you said in this film, and he can covert himself to sand entirely, the castle was built nicely, but in fictional sense it was him
@@angelacosta5457 it's probably because the new movies focus mostly on peter, everyone else is not that important. (not saying the other characters are boring/flat tho)
I read the Spider-Man 3 novelization shortly after seeing Spider-Man 3 and was so disappointed that so many scenes, including this scene, wasn't in the movie. This scene definitely should have made it into the theatrical version.
Originally it was Penny who stops Flint from killing Spider-Man and she basically tells him her illness is incurable and that she wants to spend the time she has left with her dad and remember him as a good man.
To all of you in the comments saying Sam raimi why this why that well guess fucking what it wasn't him it was Sony who fucked us all! You know why? Because they wanted venom venom venom venom! Instead of having a compelling and great story!
The misstake they did with the third was to introduce two villains; clearly all the writing effort went to Sandman over Venom. In the previous ones there was only one villain in focus and they turned out great (yeah goblin was a bit cheesy, but clearly better written than venom).
Not true, just seems like it because you've seen so many deleted scenes that have resurfaced because they deserve more attention, but in reality most movie cuts are usually necessary so there isn't several scenes dragging the movie on but adding nothing important or relevant. I would say the majority of movie cuts don't get popular on youtube for example lol
Yes, but I also feel so bad for him, knowing he may never hold onto his baby girl again :( MORE PROOF of why they should have just included the scene at the end where Penny and her mom visit the construction site to see Flint Marko attacking Spidey. THAT would have fit with this scene beautifully.. Heck, they should have just added everything!!!!
Sometimes these movie directors dont know what to keep and what to delete this was touching. Sometimes the deleted scenes in movies are some of the best scenes
It's 2021. This movie was 2007. and they deleted the most emotional scene from the movie. Great move Sony. Great move. He just wanted to see his daughter healthy and happy like any other kids. The theme song made it even more heartbreaking. Hope to see Sandman in No Way Home.
This makes Sandman's sudden desire for revenge against Spider-Man make so much more sense. Once he sees what Spider-Man almost took away from him he's angered and willing to join Venom in a plan that will stop him for good.
I put on my IG like 90% of the deleted scenes from Spider-Man 3, including the really rare Deleted Scenes. This was one. but the the editor's cut left out so much... (There was a good 10/15 mins they didn't add in) but I'm happy we get to see this scene and more 😎👍

Venom was so rushed though. Instead it should have been symbiote spidey beating sandman with harrys help. then him ripping off the suit after finding forgiveness. Spiderman 4 should have then just been a whole venom movie
This probably was gonna originally be the ending of Spiderman 3 since it was supposed to originally only focus on Sandman and Spiderman 4 was for Venom.
I don´t see why people think Tobey was a bad Spider-Man just because he doesn´t sticks to the comic books, i mean, it doesn´t make it a bad story, and...he was the only one to fight Uncle Ben´s murderer just like in Amazing Fantasy #15, Tobey was a really good Spider-Man, he was based on the classic comics, while Andrew was based on the modern ones, Tom is some kind of weird mix of the Ultimate Spider-man, the Spectacular Spider-Man, and the classic 616 one. For me Tobey will be always Spider-Man, but i can enjoy anyway the other Spider-Men, all of them are good, but i prefer Tobey.
In an alternate universe, Raimi made a perfect Spider-Man 3 movie without Venom. Of course, in that universe we don’t have Bully Maguire, but it might have been even better than Spider-Man 2
This would have worked so perfect as a post-credits scene. And you can tell Sam Raimi was considering using it because they scored it and obviously they did the effects for Sandman despite the problems with the third movie I still love it I'm dying to know what the 4th movie would have stuff like but at least Sam raimi's given to direct Doctor Strange into the Multiverse fun fact that's one of his dream movies to work on even mentions it in the second Spider-Man movie of his trilogy

Sandman had the Best theme
HANDS DOWN
Ikr
I would say doc ock, that theme it’s etched in my mind
But this is a close second
@@joscar062 oh yea I can definitely see that
Really reminds me of Elfman's music he did for Burton's Batman Returns.
@@manofaction7399 probably because he composed for the Spiderman movies too.
See it's THESE versions of the villains you feel sorry for, then you look at the comics and you realize in the comics they actually find enjoyment in this stuff.
i like how tv shows and movies sometimes have amazing changes on otherwise boring villains. like Mr. Freeze, another boring "mwahahaha" kind of villain, then given an actual purpose with conviction in the animated series.
@@IiImonix3 or Mysterio in The Ultimate spider-man show, the dude wanted to redeem himself and meet his daughter once more after years of being stuck in the helmet after selling his soul to Dormammu
Well thats it isn't it? Something makes good men go tremendously wrong.
Beautiful scene. I have goosebump. This is pure cinema. Sad that was not in the movie.
okay;....
Sam Raimi and Avi Arad and the others writers in a meeting about spider man 3:
Avi Arad: Sam, as much as i would like to tell you, we aren't gonna have the scene where penny and flint marko reunite at the beach in spider man 3. Instead, we are gonna have the scene where venom goes to fight spider man and kidnap mj.
Sam Raimi: WHAT? are you kidding? that's stupid. no, you can't do that. I have the rights of spider man 3. if i say i have that scene in the movie, i say i have it.
Avi Arad: I understand but lot's of fans have been waiting to see venom in the movie. and besides, it would make it Ten times better.
Sam Raimi: You know, i regret having you work with me for spider man 3.
Avid Arad: you don't mean that.
Sam Raimi: i do. i mean, i only wanted to just have sandman and harry osborn in the movie. not venom.
Avi Arad: sorry, but we are doing some of it my way.
Sam Raimi: i don't believe it.
In a Alternate Universe. Sam was able to make Spider Man 3 as he originally wanted and it became a Oscar winning Hit later Jumpstarting The Second Trilogy and crossing over with the Avengers.
I had tears by reading your comment bro.

This scene alone shows how if the studio had not interfered and added venom, it could've been as good or even better than Spiderman 2, we will never know
My word, i never at all new this existed.
Lego The Boy Genius Neither did I.

This would've been the most emotional scene ever, why did they cut it... ?! :( Its very wierd to see an amazing scene that was never shown before, 10 years later :D
Dzqnn hm, maybe because they weren't sure where to put it.
Or maybe spiderman 3 was just a big screw-you to sony from raimi.
@@obblivionkr Other way around. Screw-you to Raimi from Sony.
We need Spider-Man 4
Sorry, not gonna happen. That's life.
Everybody knows that...
Gonna cry?
We don't. They missed the chance.
Hello Neighbour d still waiting for tasm3? Aww it's ok. It could've happened if Sony could make two good moves :'( I'm sorry for the Andrew fans
This is unironically one of the most beautiful scenes I have ever seen in a movie.
This scene depicts Love. Has such a lovely music. Touchy scene. It should not have been deleted.
i miss seeing scences like this in superhero movies nowadays. they need to build the villian well
It's kinda a pun lol,coz indeed they did as you said in this film, and he can covert himself to sand entirely, the castle was built nicely, but in fictional sense it was him
Imagine if sandman's head spontenously poped out thd castle and he yelled "HI PENNY." Then penny screams and runs away. That would be priceless!
LoL funny, the would have ruins the moment
I just imagined that lmao
Me too!
MCU would have done that
Dude stop it😂 Urghh I just imagined it 😂😂😂😂
When you realise that a deleted scene from the supposedly weakest film of a trilogy has more heart than both of Holland's films in their entirety.
*Activate Instant Kill*
I don't think the problem is the new spider man movies,I think the problem is marvel studios always trying to play it safe and kid friendly
@@angelacosta5457 it's probably because the new movies focus mostly on peter, everyone else is not that important. (not saying the other characters are boring/flat tho)

This comment aged like milk.
That was a beautiful piece of art
This was a perfect post-credit scene idea!
For real doe! a missed opportunity that wouldve elevated Spider-Man 3
I read the Spider-Man 3 novelization shortly after seeing Spider-Man 3 and was so disappointed that so many scenes, including this scene, wasn't in the movie.
This scene definitely should have made it into the theatrical version.
Originally it was Penny who stops Flint from killing Spider-Man and she basically tells him her illness is incurable and that she wants to spend the time she has left with her dad and remember him as a good man.
@Cameron Hawthorn On the what could have been part on Spider-Man 3's TV Tropes page.
@@Xehanort10 We'll see if elements from that are in No Way Home or not
Flint's wife and Dr. Wallace were there too
To all of you in the comments saying Sam raimi why this why that well guess fucking what it wasn't him it was Sony who fucked us all! You know why? Because they wanted venom venom venom venom! Instead of having a compelling and great story!
Even so we got a garbage venom. Sony didn't tell raimi to make venom commit suicide instead of saving him for sm4
Michael Challinoir I would've loved Bruce Campbell as Mysterio, it would've been such a great payoff after all of those little cameos.
the best of the best venom is a more compelling character than sand man though.
Kevin Reynart well yeah
Venom was such a waste, glad that they got a new venom which is good thing it's not topher grace
Wow the soundtrack stands out the most. It adds a whole new level of emotion.
The misstake they did with the third was to introduce two villains; clearly all the writing effort went to Sandman over Venom. In the previous ones there was only one villain in focus and they turned out great (yeah goblin was a bit cheesy, but clearly better written than venom).
If I remember correctly, Venom was kind of shoe horned in for toy sales and wasn’t originally goin* to be included
Deleted scenes are always the best scenes.
So true
Batman V Superman and Zack Snyder's Justice League
Not true, just seems like it because you've seen so many deleted scenes that have resurfaced because they deserve more attention, but in reality most movie cuts are usually necessary so there isn't several scenes dragging the movie on but adding nothing important or relevant. I would say the majority of movie cuts don't get popular on youtube for example lol

Joe Teller how is it sad
How the fuck did the mom not notice.
I feel so bad for her😢😥
Yes, but I also feel so bad for him, knowing he may never hold onto his baby girl again :( MORE PROOF of why they should have just included the scene at the end where Penny and her mom visit the construction site to see Flint Marko attacking Spidey. THAT would have fit with this scene beautifully.. Heck, they should have just added everything!!!!
😣😣
I watched this scene 100 times, which isn't even in the movie

That music. One of the best made.
The great Danny Elfman

HOW DID I JUST SEE THIS NOW
And this is why in Lego marvel games, sandman turns into a sandcastle

Ikr maybe the film would have been good if they just stuck to one villain.
Liberal bias I say 2 venom and green goblin(harry Osborne)
Venom was so rushed though. Instead it should have been symbiote spidey beating sandman with harrys help. then him ripping off the suit after finding forgiveness. Spiderman 4 should have then just been a whole venom movie
The song. Its just too compelling.Im gonna cry
When situation makes you a villain.
It'd be nice see it after the credits at the end of the movie

Everyone thinks Tobey was a great spidey. (Except for spider man 3)
This scene is incredibly beautiful
Probably this would have been in the movie if Sony didn't force Venom into the script and left Sam Raimi do his thing...
Marco really wasn’t a bad guy. He was doing the wrong thing for the right reason.
Can't believe watching this scene in 2022 for the first time, 15 years and still raimi trilogy has a place in my heart.
Sandman was the best written character
The Original Sandman Ark was supposed to be more focused on emotional side of the character. Unless Sony entered into situation with unfair demands like a crazy ass girlfriend and force included another black gooey villain.
I love that spectacular Spider-man actually repurposed and used this scene
"I'm not a bad person. Just had bad luck."
