Well Sam Raimi wanted Peter to fight both Sandman and the Vulture in Spider-Man 3. But Sony asked Raimi to add Venom and the Symbiote in it. So Raimi replaced the Vulture with Venom and eventually postponed the Vulture's apparition whom he had wanted to appear in Spider-Man 4. If Sony hadn't been so greedy by forcing Raimi to set Venom, we would have seen the Vulture in Spider-Man 3.
Yes because I cant find emotions in new Tom Spiderman movies (I literally stopped watching new meaningless hero movies made just for money without careful storyline planning or full of unnecessary scenes to complete 2 hours... ), so I like this dark serious Raimi things with nice soundtrack that is iconic and dramatic.
1:18 I can imagine this moment having some of the signature Sam Raimi horror suspense present on all the Raimi SpiderMan movies (Osborne resuscitating in the chamber, Goblin Flashbacks, Goblin in the burning building, Doc Ock hospital scene, Doc Ock surprise attacks Harry, Venom Taxi Cab scene, Venom surprise attacks SpiderMan)
@@skyto9233 bruh this fight was much more brutal and they moved around more while the vulture in homecoming never threw a punch. I love Michael keaton and thought his performance was great but he should've had more action.
This battle is like something out of an R-rated movie and really showcases how Sam specializes in the horror genera. This scene makes Vulture look like the most absolutely terrifying villian Spiderman has ever faced! Dragging him through the glass, actually stabbing him, and the jump scare of him swooping up the edge like that! This is a real villian! Just seeing this rough sketch actually makes me admire this version of Vulture more than the version we saw in Homecoming (not saying the Homecoming version was bad). This guy feels like an even bigger threat than Doc Ock, Venom, and even Goblin! And believe me, I love those three! (Especially Green Goblin) Damn I wish they made this movie! Or I at least wish I could see this fight in live action! This is just incredible!!!
I've never seen such a fight like that, it's like Sam Raimi want us to feel the vulnerability of Spider-Man and make us believe that he might die in the film, Vulture is so fucking violent in this 4th installment.
I see your point, but I don’t think it was the kick that did it. If you watch carefully you can see Vulture get impaled through the ribs when he lands on the lower platform. That’s why he has blood on his hands.
@@ThorDMaster Spider-Man usually holds back a ton as to not kill his foes and whatnot. He will only kill if it’s the very last resort or option left at all. For instance, the only reason Spider-Man can’t lift Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir, is because he is unwilling to kill if necessary unless in the most dire of circumstances.
I mean in the comics Doc Ock said that during his first fight with Spider-Man one of Peter's punches fucking damaged his brain, which really makes me wonder how Alfred Molina's Doc Ock wasn't knocked out after receiving the first punch, either Tobey is considerably weaker than 616 Spider-Man or he is way better at holding back than him.

Many people don't realize that the vulture was planned to be the villain long before Raimi planned spiderman 4. Before Sony Interfered, in 2005, Sam raimi had 2 villains in mind for spiderman 3: the vulture and sandman. The story was about vulture and sandman teaming up to escape prison to get their revenge on Spiderman. Spiderman would offer a truce to vulture who would refuse and would end up getting killed in their fight in the final battle. The film also would've had the forgiveness theme similar t the final cut of Spiderman 3. Apparently all that didn't happen and Raimi wanted to use vulture in spiderman 4 but that didn't happen either because of Sony and Avi Arad.
@@Ay3shizzle Exactly what I said. Although I'm hearing it might be animated which is a let down. But yeah it seems Tobey will getting a Spider-Man 4 film. Hopefully still using the fights from this deleted scene.
I don't know why, but seeing this specific version of Spider-Man in this situation is heart pounding. He's the only SuperHERO in this universe. No X-Men, no Avengers, noone else. So if he dies... that's no good.
I learned that villains like the Shocker and the Rhino would have appeared in the opening of this movie, in a montage where Spidey takes down some of his famous foes, shame it never happened.
Well... as of recently I discovered that Shocker was in Spider-Man 3. He was literally behind J. Jonah Jameson during the final battle between Spider-Man & New Goblin against Venom & Sandman. I watch all of these movies 1000 times and never had I caught that until now!
Sam Raimi had some level of violence in his movies and never shied away from that (I think every final battle where Tobey’s suit gets absolutely demolished is proof of that), but this final battle is on a whole other level. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an interpretation of Vulture being THAT violent!
I just want to see Spider-Man 4 come to life one day whether through live-action or animation, but if doesn't... I'm more than grateful that we have this to keep coming back to, dreaming of what could've been.
I remember when after spiderman 3 was released there was talks about a 4th one with carnage starring jim carrey. Fast forward to 2017 as the villain for spiderman 4 was in homecoming and the possible carnage became the one in venom 2, so in a way they both happened just not how we wanted.
I thought homecoming was great and I definitely agree with you! I think his vulture was less willing to go this far since Peter was a teenager. And he was more about getting money and providing for his family. This vulture had different intentions and motivations which will make him more aggressive and willing to kill. The Mcu makes their own adaptations to their movies
@@WillactTv I agree with you. Homecoming was enjoyable to watch, just not comparable to the Sam Raimi films (IMO). I think the problem with spidey was more of the role model Iron Man was playing, considering that Peter had a better role model (Aka: Uncle Ben) who got omitted from the movie. And now that he's unfortunately gone, I think spidey 's gonna embrace his vigilante side, especially going into no way home

3:02 That part in the song always gets to me. Feels like this is the actual and real Spider-Man(respect the hyphen). This is why I believe Tobey and Sam Spider-Man is the only Spider-Man for me.
Wonder what Vulture and Peter's familiarity would've been, Felicia was supposed to be his daughter or something right? I heard rumors of that, maybe he met Peter when Felicia introduced them or something. Also wondering what made him so crazy, considering he went from shocked right back into sinister glee ready to kill him. So many mysteries surrounding this, what a shame.
What if Vulture was a friend of Dr. Connors or new owner of like Oscorp? Both those things are in themselves quite connected to Peter, after all either he's a huge collaborator with his professor, or he's owning the company formerly ran by his now fallen friend.
I know there are some theory Is that the Vulture discovered a secret lair that the Green Goblin had and tested the Goblin serum on himself not knowing what it was which would have given him the split personality disorder that Norman had in the first film.
Thanks for uploading this to RUclips! It's really great we keep getting more bits and pieces of what Spider-Man 4 could have turned out to be. Even though this looks cool and all, the final rewrite by Gary Ross of the script Raimi was mostly leaning towards, was a total dumpster fire; and it sadly makes sense he was unhappy with it. It would've completely butchered Peter's development and growth as a character throughout the trilogy-especially after what happened in Spider-Man 2-and would've completely killed off his relationship with MJ.
I don’t think killing his relationship off with MJ would’ve been the end of the world, I think the previous films have shown them to have too many problems. Unlike with Emma and Andrew as Peter and Gwen who were perfect throughout both films.

@@StarBoyMyio you would keep all the scenes with Cringy Emo parker (even the street dance) instead of more heartfelt scenes with Sandman and his Daughter, allowing us to sympathise with him and also have more scenes of Harry as the New Goblin? You make me sick.
*This is probably the closest we will ever get to Spider-Man 4. Very interesting to see what Sam had in mind!*

I can only imagine how awesome this would be in cinematic fashion
I've never seen such a fight like that, it's like Sam Raimi want us to feel the vulnerability of Spider-Man and make us believe that he might die in the film, Vulture is so fucking violent in this 4th installment.
This alone is better than anything relating to MCU Spider-Man.
Yeah
One kick nearly killed him, shows how much Tobey's spiderman holds back when it comes to his villains
I see your point, but I don’t think it was the kick that did it. If you watch carefully you can see Vulture get impaled through the ribs when he lands on the lower platform. That’s why he has blood on his hands.
Nah, i don't think he ever held back, Dr Octopus was just inexplicably durable for an unenhanced human being
@@ThorDMaster Spider-Man usually holds back a ton as to not kill his foes and whatnot.

I thought homecoming was great and I definitely agree with you! I think his vulture was less willing to go this far since Peter was a teenager.

So many mysteries surrounding this, what a shame.

Even though this looks cool and all, the final rewrite by Gary Ross of the script Raimi was mostly leaning towards, was a total dumpster fire; and it sadly makes sense he was unhappy with it.
