The emotion in his voice when he screams "I'm gonna get you Goblin!!" Is gut wrenching. Incredible.
It's the voice crack. Peter's tense to the point of breaking and the way his voice does just that is just a masterful performance I think. The only way I can think to word it, is in the most brutal way. It's a great performance to capture a fraction what people sound like when watching someone die. I've read accounts of either people dying or watching it happen, and the sounds they make are just beyond anything you think a person can make. It's beyond comprehension from what I've heard, the way some people just sound when they in the moment, snap.

Voice acting anger and rage is the hardest thing to get right, too much or too little intensity can completely kill the scene and even make people cringe (and I mean the literal definition of cringe not what it's been co opted to mean now). He had the perfect amount there, if anything the intensity he managed pulled me more into the scene and that moment than anything else. Phenomenal voice actor

I have always wondered what the plan was for moving on without Gwen's death

@jasonjones3328 My guess is that, based on Spider Verse 2 which seems to confirm that Captain Stacy would still die, the death of Gwen's dad likely puts a strain on their relationship which leads to a break up and Peter eventually getting together with MJ much later
@@carbodude5414 that seems likely but at the time, it was a kids show, so they couldn’t use death. But it’s been nearly two decades since, so things could change. The show could be given the Young Justice treatment. After all, Weisman made that show too.
There was the storyline where Gwen moved to England after her Dad passed away. Maybe that's how things would've ended between them before Peter and MJ got together.

Sometimes things do have to get worse before they get better...but the AI voices just made the real deal hit that much harder than it would have. It proves who actually cares about these stories.

I've read this book every year for the past 3 years. Since I first read it it started to mean more and more to me. Since I read I can recite it like a damn poem but most importantly I started to relate to Peter. I read this book twice a year, today of course but also the anniversary of the day I lost someone I really care about, a loss that for the longest time I blamed myself for. But I've realized that when I feel like this, I just have to be like Spidey

They can't, the designs and show belong to WB. The series is on a legal void. And Marvel want things to add to their Cinematic Universe, that's why only the X-Men are getting a revival. Those versions will be add to the MCU post Secret Wars.

The fact that you got Josh to reprise his role for this, knowing just how much he loves Spectacular is beautiful. Your evolution as an animator has been a pleasure to bear witness to. This is probably the closest we will ever see Josh adapt what would have been in Spectacular and I can’t think of a better place for it to end up than here, with someone who’s carried the torch for this show for as long as I can remember. Keep crushing it!
It’s cool that BT actually got Josh Keaton to voice this adaptation of Spiderman: Blue, it hits hard seeing this version of Peter suffer from this iconic tragedy in spider-man’s history.
It’s depressing that this was posted on Valentine’s Day, but it is fitting considering Spidey’s tough life.
I'm absolutely in love on how you merged his performance of Spider-man blue and issue 121. Gave me chills. Plus the animation is beyond amazing lol

This is easily one of the best fan animations I have ever seen. Every scene you chose to include and emphasize was perfect, the reenactment of the death of Gwen Stacy from Keaton was glorious.
Both of you did something truly amazing here.
This is why Josh will forever be the perfect voice for Spider-Man. In a 3 minute video with no context I felt more emotion than I have in an MCU film in a long time. Much praise to you both, y’all are amazing, spectacular, astonishing, superior, ultimate, and I wish you all the best.

This is just a masterpiece, the cinematography, the beautiful animation, the spectacular use of camera angles, the choise of music and the outstanding performance of Josh Keaton makes this deserving of winning the oscar for best short of the year, I think that I found my favorite Spider-Man video ever, It genuinely touch my heart this one, love it soo soo much!!

This deserves millions of views. SpiderMan Blue is one of my absolute favorite comics. It's a perfect summary and beautifully artistic perspective of a grieving boyfriend.

I loved this. The way you used Tim Sale’s art and the Spectacular Spider-Man animation as well as using Keaton’s voice work he does on RUclips. It’s amazing.
It actually felt like Tim Sale’s art was moving.
I am doing my own TASM3 fan script and I am using inspiration from Spider-Man Blue. This proved to me the images on the comic CAN work in motion and can still have such incredible impact on the story. I loved this.

Lifelong Spidey fan, massive fan of Spec, never really cared for "Blue"... but damned if this isn't the perfect interpretation of such an important, iconic moment in the webhead's life. Glad to hear Josh Keaton doing the voice of Spider-Man. This is a Spectacular animation and my most favorite Spider-Man I grew up with. This completely sucks that it got cancelled. I wish season 3 could happen. Josh Keaton you’ll always be the best voice actor of Spider-Man ever. Very heartbreaking, depressed, and so emotional.

I really did enjoy spectacular but I've only thought about it as "what couldve been", it was great in almost every way, but not spectacular, leagues above as it definitely had the potential to.
However, this voice performance from Josh, and your fan animation (love all ur stuff, even your original content) and Spider-Man blue really elevate it within its scope, and really show me just how much potential we lost, thank you very much for making this, and I hope you had fun compiling and putting your own vision on it.
