Thank you for going step by step as some of us are women who have never done this before.

Man or woman, many have never done this. Helping others is something I enjoy. I have three daughters and they enjoy working on my cars with me.

about to do this. I would definitely keep the cap on the reservoir as you bleed from the valve, that way you build pressure inside the system which will push air bubbles out faster, no? Gotta love that clean engine bay, good work.

That makes sense and it should help. Will try that next time. The engine bay looks great. It really cleaned up. Thanks 🙏

Just for reference also, you ideally need to loosen the bleed valves whilst topping up to stop trapped air and overheating issues. They’re small engine bays with lots of ancillaries that can hold air. Also ideal to fill from the radiator as opposed to the expansion tank which is more of an overflow as opposed to the main point of coolant.

Yes he should have released the bleed valve(s) first.

Only concern is the video showed the old coolant was green coolant, and you were changing to the blue. I'd expect there might be value in trying to get more of the green coolant out of system before adding the new coolant. Not sure if filling with water and draining again is sufficient?

Disconnect the upper hose as well, then use a shop vac to extract as much as you can. Then distilled water until runs clear through all the parts. Then refill ":)
