Apparently George (or Clive Powell) was a brilliant second row forward and a lot of clubs were looking at him when he was a kid....thank God he chose music instead. Speaking personally? I love the man. He looked like George Best, a brilliant musician and a lovely man. What's not to hate?
And just listen to Dick Morrisey. I was lucky enough to watch him before he passed. The Morrissey/Mullen band was a live experience that I pity those who missed it.
First time seeing ans listening to Georgie Fame. I heard his music courtesy of Van Morrison. I bought his album performing Georgie Fame's songs. This video is also my first time seeing Dick Morrisey as well. As a long saxophone player this is the best! Much appreciated from the USA!
I've rediscovered Georgie and am loving the music, carefully noting all the chords so I can try them on guitar. Yeh Yeh's a good one - Georgie even plays guitar to it on at least one RUclips clip.
