I just came across one of these machines recently and fixed it up. I think mine's a bit and she didn't even have holes drilled into the other housing for that clean out tool when I did purchase one and mounted it to the machine. Styling on the stickers was a little bit different. Haven't really been able to tested thoroughly since winter has been relatively mild in Massachusetts.

That’s my first dual auger machine. Only use it if the snow is above 6” or wet. Bought it back in ‘90. Just changed the oil. Always ran it dry of gas in the spring. She started first pull this week!

Thanks a lot. Your video helped me a lot to adjust my MTD yard mechanics 24" snowblower as my belt scrapped and I replaced it.

Apparently I have the old-style snowblower, this one in the video looks very much like mine. Thanks.

Great video Mr. Johnson. I am just glad I don't need a snow blower.

Thank you, for watching, commenting and supporting the channel. I do remember you saying you don’t need a snow thrower and I think you have many hours on your, Cub Cadet? Much warmer all year for you. I am ready for warmer weather all year. My blood is definitely thinning out!!

@@JohnsonsSmallEngines Yes thin blood is no fun. LOL I get some snow in Jan. But late Feb., for some reason, we get bad winter storms. One year we had 20" of snow in one day. Another time 3/4" ice. both times it shut everything down for almost a week. I bought a whole house generator after the ice storm. It's just weird every late Feb. we get some kind of winter storm. Go figure. LOL

Another question. When the engine is running, its operation changes the position of the gear arm. The gears change whenever they want. What to do with this? Thank you.

If you are talking about this model, the shift handle uses tension from the shift rod to keep the handle tight to the gear slot it is in. Not sure what your issue could be without seeing the machine.

@@JohnsonsSmallEngines I never remember this name. I'll check in the garage tomorrow. Now we have a lot of rain and night. But the structure of the machine is perfectly the same. Only mine is black. While clearing snow, vibrations from the engine cause the gear to skip. It can jump a few gears to a faster one. We have a driveway uphill. At my age this is a problem, because such a jump when driving uphill means that I have to quickly follow the blower. Besides, going downhill isn't good either. Is it enough to bend the handle? Thank you.
