This is why terms like bi-romantic and pan-romantic exists, Heck a bi-sexual person can be more attracted to one gender identity and still have emotional desires even physical and aesthetic attraction to a person of another. It boggles my mind that people are so oblivious to this, As someone who has been in a relationship like the one depicted here, my partner grew to accept he was more sexually attracted to men than women, he was still in love with me, and there was a mutual sexual attraction, but it was always something he said I’m attracted to you, but I prefer men, that was his preference. I will always love and cherish the time we had, just as I cherish and adore the confident wonderful man he has become, and the beautiful relationship he built with his partner. Since the man turned out to be a gay, then his Asian wife was going banana with a much younger male whom has a crush on her, chasing her first.... This pair of spouse, they're supporting each other in doing their "crime acts" 🙃
Adding onto above commentor, the husband (who caused the accident) is gay so Simone (the jogger) ends up starting an affair with Tommy (18 year old). Eventually Tommy’s mom (woman in purple) finds out and tries to kill Simone by running her over with her car, Tommy cuts off contact with mom. Simone ends up telling Tommy to go Europe alone and she euthanizes her husband as he was painfully dying from AIDS. It’s a beautifully written dark comedy, even with these spoilers, the show is worth the watch as it follows two other couples (not mentioned here!)
Karl (the guy who crashed the Porsche) is married to Simone (the woman jogging) but Karl is gay. When Simone found out, she decided to cheat on him to spite him, but ended up having an affair with her best friend (the blonde)'s son (Tommy). Simone and Tommy was going to hook up in Joyce's house but she came back earlier than expected. The thing is, inspite of them cheating on and spiting each other whenever they can, Karl and Simone are truly each other's best friend. Simone called him to create a diversion so she could escape the house, hence the crash. This is also the moment Karl figures out that Tommy is the guy Simone has been sleeping with. It's complicated but well worth watching.
