I found dragon ball through toonami and tv and honestly after that I was super hooked growing up as a kid it was really awesome and badass in my opinion.
Yeah but when Crunchyroll did that they sold out instantly because they didn't make enough even though they sold them for 50 dollars per season on those steelbooks which is crazy.
I don't care what people say: I LOVE GT! I'm not a fan of the first "black star dragonball arc" when they're in space, but once Goku is fighting Bebe on Earth and Bebe possesses Vegeta, it gets really awesome in a hurry. One of my greatest letdowns of GT's de-cannoning was them getting rid of Super Sayan level 4. It's probably my favorite power-up for Goku and Vegeta. Not to mention, I LOVE the fights he had with the Super Android 17 fusion and the whole Shadow Shenron Arc. I won't tell other people what to and not to watch. I get it. Heck, I'm still a shameless fan of the Burton/Schumacher Batman movies and the Star Wars prequels. Just don't make fun of ME for liking those things and it's "live and let live" as far as I'm concerned. I'm really glad my bestie/brother IRL got me into Dragon Ball and even the anime genre itself over the years.
Yeah we've really been enjoying both versions of Dragon Ball! It's too bad some of the fans turn the whole "canon" thing into a big fight. Completely agree with you!
I can totally relate with the anime game problem. My favorite anime and show is attack on Titan and I wanted the aot 2 that came with all the dlc and like you guys that prefer physical the only one I can find was over $100 and I had a part time job. So I just bought this game on digital
I got into it fairly recently. Too be honest I didn't really have much trouble finding what was Canon and what I preferred overall. That being said I haven't tried and have no intention of trying to collect physical copies of the shows cause... that sounds like a complete nightmare
I saw dragon ball z and then watched dragon ball after that. I see db, dbz, db super all as one continuing series. Gt is still fun to watch though. Keep up the great work👍👍👍
I was introduced to the franchise through Dragon Ball Z Budokai which gave a good run down of the series outside of the Buu arc which many of the games do a good job of illustrating the original manga story that involves Dragon Ball and Z but I would say that you can enjoy any version of the series whether its canon or not, I'm a hardcore fan that enjoys the movie in english dub despite some inaccurate changes but I still enjoy it because of the voices and music. I would say that it is important to at least know of Original Dragon Ball because that goes over a large portion of Goku's journey and how he became the person he is in dragon ball z along with other characters which is something that is even overlooked with fans because of their love of characters like Vegeta.
Toei could do so much better with the distribution of these shows. The Catholic Church does a better job distributing alter boys for crying out loud! 🚂
They don't make sense timeline wise but they actually kind of have to be "canon" to each other with the old GT stuff at least because of all the references. There's at least 4 movies directly shown in GT to be in that canon (like Cooler shows up, Goku knows that dragon fist move from Wrath of the Dragon and other stuff) but Toei just did a really bad job of fitting them in cause of continuity errors.
Even on here [in the past], Facebook, and Saiyan Island the fan base is just toxic [say one thing about XenoVerse and XenoVerse 2, just sit back see how many people with come at you like hungry piranhas]. Trolling even, acting like a "Karl" or a tyrant I personally avoid them now. If you enjoy Super that's fine, but don't push me into liking it and vice versa. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, even though some would go as far as saying no by their words.
I found Dragon Ball basically from the internet. I remember clips of the video games being posted and thinking how awesome it looked and then starting to look into the anime.

Bulma rule 34 is the best tbh
Yo we got a man of culture here 😅
@@BigBlackBarret I do my best lol
Who is everyones favorite dragon ball character? Mine is piccolo!
Piccolo is the GOAT in both continuities. That guy rules. I also love the new version of Broly as far as a villain goes for fav villain.

Toonami was such a good introduction to so many great anime!
@@teezoowazoo7272 indeed
@@TevyaSmolka I had no idea what anime even was before Toonami haha so its cool to see other people have found this stuff the same way
@@TheCondimonyKing-jo2xc indeed same here
Ive also seen some prices skyrocket since Toriyama passed. It's so gross to see people use his death to make money.
Yeah some of the so called fans are disgusting
They really need to just reprint these shows on Blu Ray and with the right aspect ratio.

Agreed on the Dragon Ball fandom. They'll fight about anything when it comes to the canon debates. It's just annoying more than anything.

That's crazy for the prices. Sword Art Online has some really bad anime game prices too.
I got into the original Dragon Ball through the courtesy of a magical girl known as Sailor moon and other anime’s back in the 90’s
Hoping the best for Daima despite Toriyama passing yo. Just sad stuff

Yeah trying to buy it has sucked for me

The anime and the movies also don't line up in the same continuity

I see sailor moon eternal and cosmos blu rays, they got to be burnt copies or fan made.
Just fan made cases. Hopefully they'll make real ones at some point instead of just Netflix hoarding it.
