    Santa’s Village opened on June 21, 1953 been there more times then I can count. Once I had a child of my own I spent a lot of time circling the park on the train. Rudolph’s rollercoaster was cool and the sky sleigh.

    Very unique Rudolph animatronic. Someone behind the barn operates and does the voice like puppetry. Obviously that means his voice would vary.

    I live in Massachusetts, I'm 66 years old and just to show you how long this place has been around I remember missing a chance to go there when I was a kid because there are so many attractions in New Hampshire that we tried to do everything in one day and never got to Santa's Village. After watching your video I think I would still enjoy it today at my age. Thanks for bringing it to life.

    • @donnabrat1503

      I love your comment. I'm 59 and we only got to go to Santa's Village and Storyland in one day. Never saw Lost River until I took my own children. Also never got to Six Gun City. All my friends went camping and saw Six Gun and Lost River, I was so mad. I have a vacation/retirement home a couple of miles from Storyland, never thought of going since my kids have grown. This inspired me to go again to both places.

    • @waynerobillard731
      @waynerobillard731 5 лет назад +3

      @@donnabrat1503 Thanks for your reply Donna. The problem with Santa's Village and Six Gun City was that they were much farther North than the places I did get to see ( Polar Caves, Lost River, The Gorge and Clark's Trading Post ). I don't for the life of me know why we never made a second trip into Maine. After all my childhood did last more than a day, but it never happened and perhaps it's not too late to relive a good childhood memory.

      For some reason, we also only went to the White Mountains once as kids. It wasn't until I brought my kids to Storyland that we ended up coming up here all the time. However, we also could go to Whalom Park several times a year. My kids only went to amusement parks once a year. The parks with the pay one price are just too expensive now.

      I've already worn out three pairs of shoes...that's alittle walking but they were thrift store shoes & not new to begin with. 😉
      I found a Quarter sized beautiful gold coin but can't find info on it yet. The date is 1886, the front & back like like a Morgan looks but on the back on the bottom it says 5 D . --- Found that & a Walking Liberty date 1919 and some Barbar dimes.
      My 1st graded coin was a Quarter and got a grade of 69. The best grade you can get is a 70 ! I was jumping up and down...like someone had won the lottery, the mail lady laughed along with me. It was just nice to see a 69.

    Did you get to see the Jingle Jamboree animatronic show? It was revamped a few years back, but still using Creative Engineering's sound track. Yes, Aaron made the original!
