Bro I was 7 when Jarrett jumped ship... I stuck with WCW to the bitter end, I was a child super fan.... and even I admitted WWF had at least the "bigger" show
During those years I was a wrestling fan I watched WWF, WCW, and ECW and everyone that I knew at the time we're the same way except they had no access to watch ECW so I agree with Conrad during that era of wrestling people were just fans of the business in general
It’s hilarious how Jeff never misses a chance to bury Russo… the only guy in the history of wrestling to book him on top. The guitar was the only thing that got Jeff over. For someone who doesn’t seem fond of the guitar, he sure as hell didn’t have a problem selling the damn things the whole time he was affiliated with TNA. And speaking of TNA, how ridiculous would it have been for Jeff to hold the belt so long if Russo never booked him on top in WCW? I like Jeff and all, but y’all should really stop burying Russo. Was he perfect? No. Was he responsible for some awesome television in the late 90’s? Absolutely. Give him his due credit, he wasn’t all bad.
Scott Steiner, Booker T, and Jeff Jarrett were never World Champions until Russo came to WCW. I have to admit that would be pretty dirty of Jeff to bury Russo. Funny how I've always defended the fact I knew who Jeff Jarrett was in the late 90s, despite never watching any pro wrestling growing up, soley because of the guitar spot.
@@josereyes1148 You're right, it's so much better today. Oh wait, even WCW at deaths door drew more than the shite they put on the TV today. Meltzdrone.
@@MrRevolutionNine I can't stand today's product. So there goes that. Pointing out today's wrestling sucks is not a point against this angle not sucking too.. sorry lol.
I was a WWF fan. I flipped channels during the NWO invasion but tuned out when they weren't on. I never watched a WCW ppv. I watched every WWF ppv. I never saw an episode of Thunder. I didn't miss a RAW or Smackdown.
Goldberg was on 5.1 million… seems super high I can understand he had come of the streak and was hot but if Hogan was getting over 4 million and Brett on 2.6 million then Goldberg’s seems super high.
Russo says finn balor is too short chosen 1 jarrett is the same height. Russo says kevin owens is too fat tank abbot was fatter. Russo says jinder should have title cuz he looked good yet 30 title change and russo says luger doesnt look good
LMFAOOOO!!! Zingers are flying.. getting better and better every week fellas! Getting that Bruce/Conrad early STW vibes.. Only Conrad a little bit nicer to JJ compared to Bruce! And Jeff as well!
you put more ads in your videos than even Stone cold or somebody in the business does. It helps the flow of the podcast when its broken up every 5 min w an ad. smh.
Im a new fan of only 3 years n wrestling so i heard al the negative stuff about JJ. Especially since i cant stand the character i assumed JJ was a egotistical imbecile. I was wrong. JJ seems like a very cool, intelligent & nice guy. I found a lot of respect for him. I stil hate the character but the real dude is cool
The guys Conrad was mentioning that Russo may have had a problem with because they "Wouldn't do business" was misleading. Those guys has CREATIVE CONTROL. Russo, instead of trying to meet in the middle or make their ideas fit better with his ideas, he would get butt hurt and cry about it. And quite frankly Hogan and a lot did know more about wrestling than he did. He probably came off as arrogant, especially to guys who were responsible for wrestling being around in the first place. So, That is kind of Russo's fault. IMO
The funny thing is that almost every time Jeff switched promotion he would cut a promo complaining about the gimmick he was given in the last promotion only to be given that same gimmick later in his new promotion. When he came from WCW to the WWF he complained about being partnered with Debra only to end up partnering with Debra again when she comes to the WWF. When he went back to WCW he complained about smashing guitars over women heads and not being the same as his WWF character only to still end up doing it in WCW and essentially being the same character. In any case, Jeff got a tremendous push in WCW but the way they went about it hurt him. He constantly kept talking about how much stroke he had because he was close to the bookers which sure got him heat but also diminished his talents that much more. That's an awful way to try to get him over. It gets the bookers more over than it does Jeff by establishing they have all the power. That was one of many issues with Russo's booking in WCW, he constantly kept trying to get himself as over as the talent.
how can someone care so much about their businesses, so much about making money, so much about meterial objects etc etc yet obviously has zero care and no time for his own personal health, proper diet or personal fitness. Boggles my mind, what does any of that junk matter when you can't even see your own feet.
The Chosen One theme is definitely one of the greatest in wrestling history. There was some bangers in that era of WCW
Bangers with Mash for Brains !!
31 Weeks of listening to JJ.
I need to take a long hard look at my life lol
Actually I am grateful, helps time go by working at home.
13:14 to skip the horseshit.
You’re a legend
Thank you
Seriously, thank you. Love the podcast but the banter is awful
@@Hassan87. same, I tolerate it with Bruce but on this show it's not the same
Jesus, thank you.

Fast forward was invented to skip football talk on a wrestling show

Give us a “listen up, slap nuts“ for the love of God!!!!! That should be in the open of the show.

Jeff knows marks love it when he buries Russo. No one has been as successful since Russo and it eats the marks up.
That angle was crap and Jeff was pretty reasonable in saying why he didnt like it. The whole "Shoot/work" telling everyone its fake is terrible.

Balor looks like a dweeb, Owens looks like a fat mark, Tank Abbot was a legit fighter. Jinder does have THE look.

Has Russo responded to this show yet?
Probably. it would go something like "Bro..can I tell you something? Bro.."

He's a heel. That's the point. You aren't supposed to like a heel. If fans like a heel, he's a babyface.
