Today, I head to Castle Combe for the first for 2024 to see what's about behind the scenes of the racing itself in the paddock area.
I also, by chance, managed to capture a big crash that happened right at the start of one of the races. luckily, both drivers walked away, uninjured.

Them rectacell barriers are the best investment Combe have made for a long time, 10 years ago both cars would have been fit for the scrappers

I first started going to Castle Combe in the early 90's and the safety improvements Castle Combe circuit has made over the last 2-3 decades is fantastic.
Yes I was privilieged to have experienced the circuit with very little obstruction to my viewing but also lucky to have been uninjured with lots of big crashes happening right in front of me, often with cars destroyed and drivers sustaining injuries. Much safer nowadays.
i was sat right next to you at quarry for quite some time, you really missed out on lots of the racing after the lunch break.
Oh was it lol, I had a feeling I was going to miss a lot of good moments but I had to get off to do some others bits anyway plus the weather was unpredictable at that point.
I was driving out of combe and the weather was back to sunny blue sky again 🤣 ffs
@@BJLAUTOMOTIVE it was super sunny for a good hour and a bit, then it basically rained in between every race until the end, but nothing an umbrella didn’t fix. certainly made everything a lot more interesting, and they ended up fitting in all the races apart from one of the modified ford races (the one with the crash).
