I have a great appreciation for BOBOVR, and while it is unfortunate that this is how things happened - I love that they offered the customer support and put out the M3 as quick as they could and had the conversion kit. It was only after some testing that the batteries limitations were noted and they must have gone straight to work to get out a battery that has both more charge and a higher charge rate for the Quest 3. I bought the M3 as soon as I could order one even though I knew they would have to deal with the battery issue soonest. So to see this headstrap! I ordered as soon as I could again an I am excited for this strap!
I finally got all my Quest 3 upgrades. I was in a never ending loop waiting on the S3 pro but I found one and bought it private yesterday instead of waiting for the stores to get filled up again. Now I got the S3 pro with the AMVR facial interface V2. Thanks for the video, you got a new Danish fan right here 🙏
I definitely want to use it during the workout sessions, but I am not sure if I’m going to use it lying down. I did it once I’m sure I’ll try it again, just to see if this is better with the new headset

I did pick up another battery for $30 and I want the S3 but I’m gonna have to hold off a couple of months. Like you I have three batteries and I can swap them out. But eventually I will give in! I understand why they did what they did how they did it. We wanted the M3 right away and they couldn’t get the S3 quite out the door as fast as we would’ve liked it. If we had to wait this long for the M3, we would’ve been upset.
glad i held out on the m3. i watched the reviews and naturally concluded they would fix the issues. two youtubers have theirs already and have put up reviews. both are kinda mid reviews didnt really mention battery life and didnt give the fan an honest test. i got this strap on the way though i was happy enough with the m2 on my quest 2
Yes I had to order it simply based on how happy I've been with the fit and comfort of the M2 & M3. I was also looking for battery life info. I'll be sure to include that in my videos.
I've bought the M3 with an extra Battery Pack and it didn't got it delivered, cause auf some issues. I was so frustrated, and then i've seen the S3 and said Nice that It didn't got delivered. I've got my Money back and bought the S3 and i Hope it will arrive in the next days!
I agree with you so much on this they shouldn’t have released the m3 just to release the s3 3 months later but I guess you can look at the fact that it’s a down grade to the s3 all in all I’m still super excited and can’t wait for it to arrive

S3 vs. M3 comfort? I'm not interested in fans or extra battery capacity, I just want a comfortable fit. It appears that the pads are very similar, but the S3 looks heavier - how does that affect comfort?
In my opinion you can't really hate BoboVR for thinking like capitalists. Putting out M3 close to release of the quest 3 was a quick buck for them while they were developing the batteries for the S3, and whoever bought the M3 early just wasn't patient enough. Their head mount solutions have been one of the best on the market, of course they would address the battery issue. That was pretty obvious, people just had to be patient.
You’re right they definitely have the best head strap in the game as far as I’m concerned. It was just frustration at their timing. I bought the M3 because I knew they would figure out the battery issue. Also I was just frustrated because of how close they came out and the fact that I had already converted my M2 twice and then got the M3 and now I’m waiting for the E3 pro. All that being said, I still love Bobo VR.
I definitely feel where youre coming from. I ordered one as my current swappable extended battery option killed itself. I think it overheated and damaged the terminal pins spring. While some might be upset this didn't come out sooner I am gambling that they've taken their time and tested this thoroughly. Will be my 3rd quest3 headset battery. Started with the Meta elite strap and we saw how that failed after a month of use. Hibloks seemed promising and worked well, but now I am waiting for overseas mail for the replacement part.

Honestly I blame Meta for not working with the 3rd party accessory manufacturers under a NDA so they can release their products at launch and know the specifications. My Quest 3 was unusable for 2 months waiting for the M3 headset because I didn’t want to throw my money away on the head straps that were available at the time. I changed my settings to the battery saver mode and I’ve been getting 1.5 hours per battery and it holds the Q3 at 100% battery. I have 3 batteries so I wear out before my batteries do but I’ve been playing comfortably for 4 hours a day. I’m considering the S3 for the fan because I do sometimes get lens fogging, so thanks for the link and the info on the 20% discount.

I hope they build something like this for Apple's headset. Something tells me Apple has really produced a strong reason to need a better head mounting solution. And these boys seem to be on their game.
I actually got super lucky I got the m3 and then it got shipped when when it said arrived I never received it and then I contacted support saying how I didn’t receive it and then they said would you like a refund and I was no just wanted my order and there like well we just released the S3 and I was like oh wow ok then I’ll just get that one so now I’m waiting 10-13 days for mine just bought it yesterday

Why im glad I held off on the m3. Had converted my m2 aswell but I knew they had to do something about the battery packs not working the same so waited until they released new batteries. Had no idea about the s3 until ppl started dropping vids. They did kinda release it outta no where with no heads up that I know of. they just wanted to profit from the hype of the q3 releasd and the holidays. They should of just sold the conversion kits and waited to drop new one instead of the m3s. They are kind of a waste now but might be cheaper than buying a m2 n kit if you didn't already have one. They should of planned it better since non of these companies planned for the extra power draw by the q3 which should of been obvious.
I did the same thing my m3 hasn't gotten here yet, and they released the s3 i saw them teasing an upcoming product on the website when i ordered the m3, then they came out with the psvr2 headphones and i thought that was what they were teasing so i had no idea the s3 was coming. I did get the 20% off on my s3 order though but it didn't apply automatically they already had a 10% discount applied when i purchased and then they refunded me the other 10% when i emailed to ask if it was correct i am currently using a binbok strap but the buzzing batteries are a problem for me. i am going to give that to my friend when he gets his headset because it is still better than the original strap.
I can’t say for sure, but I believe it will because the only thing bigger is the fan and I don’t think that’s so large that it’ll cause a problem fitting. I hope I’m right we shall see you soon.

Ouch! .. They got you with that elite battery strap! Dayum they got a lot of people. I wasn't sold on that even for a min. especially since I'm a HALO strap guy.

im from germany, and i bought it at aktion from ebay. no way i can return it, only the dual charging station with extra batterie i bought from bobo direct. im more angry about the fact that thay used the m2 with adapters and called it the strap fore the quest 3, when in reality its for the quest 2. no anouncments that thay are making one extra for the quest 3. what where thay thinking, that people will buy 2 straps for 250€. thay might think im dumb but im not. if i was willing to pay 1000€ for a headset i would wait for the steam deckard ;-). im happy that i make my own batteries. and the outher question would be, how thay can make 10000mah batteries. the biggest 18650 lipos are 3500mah, and thair are 2 of them inside. ill just make my own, that will cost me 5€ a paack with reaL 7000mah@@thablackcobragaming

I think it was more poor planing and attempts to capture all of the business from Q3 owners. They make great headsets and I can't help but get them when they work so well for me.

laying down VR will be important for me to watch movies or browse web . fan sounds nice during vr workouts. Nice video!!

There making it possible to use the new 10,000 mah batteries on the m3 also withba adapter so not all is lost for most people

I actually don't mind the audio on the Quest 3. I just put out a couple of shorts and the audio is straight from the Q3 with no mic.
