This is my favorite video now.
Recently made a huge mess, but got a lot of colors doing this (well, similar) type of thing. I have smaller bottles, and used less alcohol, thinking that I can always dilute it with more alcohol as I need to. I showed a photo on facebook, and my ex-hubby, who I just love, saw it. He then sent me a whole set of alcohol inks! So now I have a ton of the stuff, and couldn't be happier! Slowly making my way through your videos, and loving all of them!
Awwww glad you made some. These are so fun to play with and I have tons of other video's using inks. And not just on nails. I have done pictures, coasters and yupo paper. Thanks for enjoying my channel. It means a lot to me.

It is a good idea to strain the ink when finished. I find a small strainer with the little coffee filters Kurig sells .They fit great in the small strainers. You get a ton. If you don't filter you might find little fibers in your ink. An extra step but worth it.

Have you tried jacquard for neons? I haven't checked yet, but this just made me think about it. but i have a bunch of jacquard alcohol inks amd alot of them look super bright and neon and since they have so many different different sets to choose from, they may have a neon set. ive seen metallic, brights and i think pastel or i think opaque. idk lol. heck, i wonder if some of mine are supposed to be neons. since the ones that say brights, (i thinks it brights. or could be exciter.idklol) are the ones that look neon to me.lol so sorry for being so long winded and if i confused you. just got excited and thought about trying jacquard. But honestly, yours look sooo pretty even just in bottles. there really isnt any point in checking i suppose. haha. anyhoo, thanks for sharing this! i cant wait to see you trying these bad boys out!! You've been getting me so pumped to get my nails and canvases decked out. love your videos!
No I sure haven't tried those. I know the adirondacks also have a brights collection but they don't come out neon. They are very bright and pretty. I have a ton of those. I wanted something Neon. These work great but I think I am gonna add more ink to the bottles to make them brighter. You will see in the video what I am talking about. They aren't as bright as I would like them to be. Can you cut the cartridge and put directly in the dropper bottle thus eliminating the plastic cup step?
Yes you could but over time the cartridge may dissolve. Not sure hun. tfw

Leaving the bottlesvopen, it vaporizes the alcohol but leaves the color so it gets more pigmented

I found out how to get perminate ink off your hands my husband bought a mechanics soap at Walmart for about .98 cents took the ink right off my hands.

it depends on how big the bottle is. Fill it to about 3/4 full and that should work.

I really never tried that. I don't think it would work but you could always try one and see. Good Luck. tfw

The little droppers are called pipe-etts. If you squeeze out the ink nibs, there is still a lot of ink in them

T Lomax I know you can use them on gels and acrylics. Pretty sure you can even mix them with clear gels and also put into your monomer.

No, they were all the Neon Sharpies and Sharpie Neon Pens.

Not sure, that I never tried. It would be fun to see if it works.

BabygirlNails I would think gel pens would work but not acrylic because it is not alcohol based but gel pens are.

Im not able to get sharpies where i live aoarantly most permanent markers Are not allowed. So why cant i use normal pens. If i have to get sharpies they Will cost about 25 dollars

Sorry, this was a how to make them video. I do have videos using them. It's on fabric, paper, and nails. Bunch of videos with them.
Why not show the neon inks? Why make us hunt around for a video to see the inks? I can't find your videos where we can see the neon inks. I find this very annoying.
