Just found you today . Where have u been my whole life??? I have watched 3 videos and feel like I've learned so much. Yes, I admit, I am a glopper, overblender, inexperienced acrylic artist. I've always learned as I go , crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. You are a generous teacher. Your teaching style brings me confidence and your talent is absolutely endless. I'm going to get red eyes from watching all your vids but dont worry, I'll still feed the pooch. God bless u girl. Finding you and your tips is a game changer for my artistic quality going forward.
I first saw your video several years ago & it was a bird 🐦 drawing/ study. I thought your work was magical then. Over the years I've seen how you've grown & the Wealth of information/ understanding & teaching you provide is BEYOND THOUGHTFUL of you. THANK YOU for your time! 🙏🏽 🤲🏽
Stunning stunning stunning. Amazing -- this one really just stunned me from the word go. So beautiful! BTW, the top shell is a carapace. The bottom is a plastron. The individual "tiles" are called scutes. :-)
You can absolutely give your own paintings awards 🥇 I can wait to get a print of this!!!! It’s my favorite by far- and that says A LOT because I LOVE everything you make 💗
Lisa, may I suggest a video in which you explain when you let the acrylic paint dry e.g. before glazing and when you just go on and add new paint to a wet layer. Btw this picture is truly amazing - it was such a joy to watch you paint it, and I certainly learnt a lot. 👍🙏❤
Jo Sonja Sure Touch paint brushes are pretty amazing and are not too pricey. Also DecoArt Americana self-leveling gesso is pretty amazing stuff to fix those rough canvas'.
I love to watch your videos, I just relax, and I love to see how you gradually build the images and all those details...the truth is that you inspire me a lot! Thank you!I would like to ask you, which of all art media, you do...what do you like the most?
wowww...such a great wrk... best ever painting i have seen so far...love the way u give life to your painting...love from india...u r an inspiration for me...an artlover from india😊😊
Absolutely stunning!!!! I adore this and thank you so much for all the tips!!! You inspire me!!!! Did you make any copies? I sure would love to have one. Keep beautifying the world!!👍😉💞
Scutes. Those are the parts of the turtle shell you were asking about. But you probably learned that already. 😉 Thank you for reassuring us that there is an ugly stage in the process and its okay! 😃
google tells me those lumps are simply called scales ( which makes sense since they're reptiles) they are keratin armor which helps protect their skin and are more or less pronounced in different species, Gorgeous no matter what you call them :)
Do you have a white that is very thick and doesn’t become see thru when you lay it? I am having this issue with my white, sometimes I wish to be more thicker
I just use my liquitex basics white and add additional layers if it's not opaque enough. I've never felt the need to have more opaque than that, but you might try liquitex soft body if that doesn't work for you :)
Dad Gum, Lisa, you killed it! Help: I need some white graphite paper that works! How did you get your turtles blocked so perfect with a chalk pencil without tracing? The white graphite paper I've gotten is worthless. Advice?
I’ve been watching you for years now and your work goes from strength to strength. This is stunning, hope the tree frogs are okay
Thank you so much!
I love watching you paint. I am using some of your techniques and I believe I am becoming a better painter, thank you.
That's great to hear!! :D

Do you sand between each coat of gesso or just after all 3 coats? Also the little chirping frogs are so adorable! :)
Nope, I just sand at the end once all the layers are dry :)
I missed this part. Sanding? Where? How? I may just be neive/inexperienced but I can't imagine sanding this!
@@playmistiforme I think she meant at the end of the Gesso layers to smooth the surface before starting to paint 😃
Great tips Thankyou

Hallo from Denmark and love your video
Thanks! :D
What is the glaze you use? What mix of stuff is it? Do you just water down the color? Do you mix it with something else?
Great video
I love the panorama canvas what size?! I have a thing for those and your painting looks Phenomenal
