Really sorry that you didn’t get on it!! But I flew 4000 miles overseas to ride hyperia just to find it closed 😭 Still sad to this day. Really enjoyed the video!
Aw man, gutted, that sucks! I also live pretty far from TP (over 200 miles) so really don't get to go there as often as I would like. Went on Tuesday and was finally able to get on Hyperia and it's really a great ride, world class; my new UK #1 for sure (sorry, Nemmy). We did suffer a blowout on the drive home on the motorway though and had to be recovered which added to an already 4+ hour long drive so our trip wasn't exactly a smooth one either. I really hope you're able to get on it soon, I'm sure you'll love it and I eagerly await your review!
@@coaster_dad That's great dude, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too! Hopefully you'll be good, since its initial down time it's been pretty reliable, it closed for around 45 minutes when we were there due to wind but other than that I've been checking the app and it seems to be good. I'll keep an eye out for your video!! 👀🎢
@iitzfizz lots coming up. I’m in Emerald Park tomorrow, trying Scotlands new Alpine coaster on Sunday. Then in a couple of weeks: Thorpe, Blackpool, Towers three days in a row 🙈
@@coaster_dad Nice! Oh wow, that's crazy man! Are you driving between those four parks? Never been to Emerald Park. I guess you could do them as you move down the country one after another lol. BPB is our closest at around 50 mins whereas Towers is around 90 mins. You'll probably be knackered after all that, eh?!
Me & my daughter were there on Tuesday. Hyperia seems to have settled down now & was running all day. We enjoyed it, some great elements. Only had one shot as the que was a 90min wait. We got all the big coasters & another last ride on Stealth on the front row which we'd never had its the best place for that ride.
@coaster_dad it was even though it was light rain all day. Glad you finally got on Collosus, it's always been running when we've been down so guess you were just unlucky.
I’ve fallen out of the habit of going to the park right after a new rollercoaster opens. I tried it once in 2005 and again in 2012, but both times I encountered the same issue: either there were too many people or the rollercoaster wasn’t running. That’s why I now skip every new ride and try it a year later. It might not be a novelty anymore, but at least it’s operational.😅
@coaster_dad No. I've been trying randomly since it opened. Last tried last year. An hour into travelling seen it was closed for the day so went towers instead and sold my thorp tickets. I might try again one day.
This is why i aint drove down from Glasgow yet...Hyperia is just far to unreliable at this moment in time. Im going to hold off until September they if Mack and Thorpe can sort the issues out.
A long way to travel to find rides closed or just abandoned, no wait it's run by merlin so sounds about right. Gonna have to ask for pov or rider cam please as bumps up the emersion factor big time. Good viewing otherwise
Haven’t even bothered to watch after watching Theme Park Review’s amazing Hyperia review and footage just uploaded. They’re the biggest RUclips channel on theme parks. No one wants to know about your 400 mile journey!!! Fly to Heathrow and get a quick taxi! Probably cheaper. Sorry you didn’t get on it but best leave it til it’s more reliable before such a journey. In the meantime there’s always M&D’s! Why put such a downer on the brilliant Hyperia just cos you had an 800 mile wasted trip 😂
Really sorry that you didn’t get on it!!

Thank you. And yeah, you win 4000 miles 😔 that’s got to hurt

I’m going at the end of the month. The day after it reopens from planned maintenance. 🤞🤞
That’s a nightmare with the blow out 😔

@iitzfizz flying from Edinburgh for Thorpe then back home same day. Then driving to BP staying the night and driving to Towers. I must be mad 🙈
When you said Slammer was closed for 10 years, I thought at first “Heh, funny exaggeration” until I realised it’s *actually been closed for 10 years*
Crazy huh 🤯

Really sorry you didn't get on Hyperia. I'm not super tall but I'm definitely too tall for Colossus's restraints. That ride is beyond painful.
It sure is!
Everyone's too tall for Colossus' restraints! I'm 6'2" and can handle it on the front if I stick my head forward
I’ve done hyperia and done back row twice and it’s unreal it’s truest amazing hopr you love it when you get to ride it next year
Oh I’m sure I will. Everyone has similar stories 😀
I went a month ago and only 4 major coasters were open. No Hyperia of course and no saw
😔

Fair. I did that with ghost train and mandrill mayhem. But that was because I badly timed them last year 😂
I hope you get that work meeting down south soon and can pop into thorpe for hyperia then rather than waiting until next year!
Aye fingers crossed 🤞
Sorry you didn't get on Hyp. Glad you got on some rides though and finally colossus. I've still not been on it as when I go it's always down lol
Ha ha not just me then 😂

Great channel, great content! Thanks!
Thank you so much. 😀

I knew the risks but it was a disappointment. Hope you get on it if you do go 😀
You've joined the long list of dissapointed people
Aye it’s such a shame it’s has a rocky start because those who have been on it all sing its praises!

Yeah sadly Merlin don’t typically allow on ride filming unless you jump through a ton of hoops 🙈

M&Ds 😂 I looked at flying but it was significantly more expensive than two tanks of petrol 🤷♂️
