HEY MICHAEL NEVER ACCEPT GIFTS FROM OTHER INMATES IN PRISON NEVER FORGET THERE IS ONLY ONE SANTA CLAUS AND HE IS IN THE NORTH POLE CORRECTIONAL FACILITY HAPPY THANKSGIVING MICHAEL
The Walmart thing really hit home for me. In 2005 I was going through a divorce. Big time depression. I used to go to Walmart to be around people. I would stay there 2 or 3 hours every Friday night and sometimes Saturday night too. I knew where everything in that store was. I bet security watched me. The gym was my other place to go. I remember one time on a Saturday night I was on the treadmill. It was about 10 oclock. I was in the gym ALONE. No one else around. I was thinking to myself, what a loser. It's Saturday night and I'm at the gym while others are out. Then as I was running the door opened. This beautiful girl walks in and goes to the dressing room. She comes out and gets on a treadmill. It was then I thought if I'm a loser she is too and a girl that pretty isn't a loser. She really helped me that night and we never said a word. Just a nod and a smile. God bless her wherever she is.
When Michael says something it becomes fact. “Gee I could listen to this guy while I work/drive for hours” “no you won’t” “yes sir sorry I won’t. I’ll be gone in 13 minutes. God bless”
I'm big on prison reform too. I've never been but I think you are sentenced to be removed from society, not to have to endure what many would call torture. It's bad enough being away from your family and life as you know it, let alone humiliated, froze, starved, and all the other bs. That diesel therapy is a load of crap and costly to the taxpayer. Just so they can make your life worse. And they say you are the bad guy.
I could have easily fallen into that LIFE. A good friend of mine who was with a crew in Bensonhurst (1977) stuck his finger in my face in the Spumoni Gardens. He dragged me around the corner and screamed in my face "THIS IS NOT THE LIFE FOR YOU!!!". i WAS A TOUGH KID! Yet, he was tougher and one year older. He kissed me and said, " let's go to Manhatten,YOU DRIVE" LOL. I LOVED HIM LIKE A BROTHER .. We lost touch, after I moved to Queens. Years later I BECAME A COP!!!!
Best advice given was 'don't ever go" live a clean honest life lets you sleep good at night. God bless Michael, thanks for the stories, very interesting.
Hey Mr franzese 1 thing you forgot is talking about that you must always always have shoes on while walking around in prison.. Never have on slippers on. Only while in the shower!!
You might be surprised about attention retention. It's not just about the average watch time of videos across the site; it's about the mentality of the viewers *your* content attracts. Look at Larry Lawton. He routinely puts out videos 25-40 minutes long, and his viewership is higher than yours. One of my favorite RUclips creators is MichaelCthulhu, who's entire channel is 1-3 hour-long videos of him fabricating giant fantasy weapons out of steel, and he's enjoyed phenomenal success. Maybe give long-form videos a try sometime.
The hooch story hit close to home. I was working as a CO at a minimum security outfit in Texas years ago. I was assigned to the mess hall, and there was made the dining room officer. One day towards the end of shift as the last of the dinner was served to the inmates I developed a bad head ache, borderline migraine. I asked one of the other guards to watch the dining for me so I could take some aspirin and sit in the store room in the dark for 15 minutes while that kicked in. I was sitting with my eyes closed when I heard some inmates in the back kitchen. The store room had big windows around most of it, and with the lights off the outside of the windows were just like big mirrors. None of the inmates saw me go in so nobody knew I was there. I watched them go over to an oven that was not working at the time. A guy climbed on top, and removed one of the hood filters. The other 3-4 guys started handing him gallon jugs filled with what I learned later was pine apple juice, bits of bread, and rice. The start of a batch of hooch. Once the inmates had cleared out after doing their clean up I showed a couple of the other officers what I saw. They kept daring me to try some but I did not drink at all, even properly made booze, I told them I certainly wasn't going to try that, I appreciated my eye sight too much. One of the other officers asked what I was talking about when I mentioned my eye sight so I explained that during prohibition a lot of guys would want some easy money and try their hand at bootlegging. When they sold their product the customers either dropped dead or went blind. This officer had a fit because he had taken the dare and drank a glass of the hooch. He said the same thing, it was pretty good, tasting like pineapple juice. But he only had one glass.
True, you need to distill it to burn off the methanol, I understand. But properly made moonshine is better than what's in the stores, it's like raw milk vs pasteurized.
@@heightsofsagarmatha My grandmother told me in the early days of prohibition there was a problem with amateurs using rubbing alcohol, or wood alcohol thinking that because it was alcohol it would help get folks intoxicated. That went rather bad for amateur bootleggers.
@@kevinbarksdale7897 I see, I read more about it and it's not ethanol that's the issue. The wiki article says they distill to make it more concentrated in alcohol (they burn off the water). But there's a quality difference between high quality and prison hooch like Michael Franzese talked about.

Casual fans won’t listen to a full 30+ unless the title is really captivating but I promise you long videos won’t cut into your RUclips profits. Watch, make a long vid and see what happens. You’ll be firing your RUclips guy after. Think Rogan and these other podcasters made it from 10 min clips?
Mr Franzese is a much more sociable guy than me. I got out of prison in 2014 and the LAST thing I wanted was to be around people...ANY people. In fact, I still avoid public places and crowds to this day and I mostly stay to myself. It's not that I'm a hater, I just don't trust people...not even family.
I want to hear stories about the high level sit downs you were apart of or heard about. I want stories that give me insight about a day in the life of a soldier, Capo, etc...High level maneuvers and stuff like that. Aldo the pay structure for am underboss. Real life examples. I kinda underdstand the Bonanos in the mid 70's
I did a 6 year bit in the PA DOC and the night before I maxed out my sentence there was a fight in evening yard. Two Black fellas. Well, guards came running from all over, from outside the yard, and before they got to these guys they broke it up themselves and one took off running. The guy that didn't run got on the ground and put his hands out in front of him but the guards started beating on the kid, about 5 of them. At that point the one who ran looked back and saw what was going down and he stopped in his tracks and turned around, ran full speed back to where the fight took place and jumped on one of the guards that was beating the guy he was just fighting 5 minute earlier. That was all she wrote, another 8-9 Black dudes came running and it was bad news for the guards. They were carrying each other out of the yard, bleeding all over the place. At that time I remember looking up at the sky and saying "Thank you Lord for letting me witness this shit". That was just my mentality at the time, I was so used to seeing guards abuse inmates with no consequences and to see them finally get the short end was glorious.
I say again Walyo, being incarcerated sucks. It does not matter where, why, or how long or the reason it just sucks. That advice DID NOT work for me. It's just time that you cannot get back.

When Michael says to listen to his stories and not become one, you betta listen!
Michael, your words of wisdom are the best!! I could listen all day. God bless you and your family and have a great Thanksgiving!

Me again Mike. Am asking if you know anything about Licavoli, Danny Greene and Cleveland war. Talk about that Mike👍🏿. Dios te bendiga!🙏🏿
Did you know Richard "The Iceman" Kuklinksi? Some have claimed that he lied about being a hitman. What say you?
HEY MICHAEL NEVER ACCEPT GIFTS FROM OTHER INMATES IN PRISON NEVER FORGET THERE IS ONLY ONE SANTA CLAUS AND HE IS IN THE NORTH POLE CORRECTIONAL FACILITY HAPPY THANKSGIVING MICHAEL
Yep I'll just listen to your stories instead of going to prison lol
“Gee I could listen to this guy while I work/drive for hours”
“no you won’t”
“yes sir sorry I won’t.
And they say you are the bad guy.
my absolute favorite channel on RUclips. Thanks for the amazing stories, Mike!
Years later I BECAME A COP!!!!
can only imagine a drunk michael franzese ,,pissed as a moose laughing while throwing up at the screw laughing at him throwing up hahah
You should call the lieutenant now and go grab a beer with him
I see a Wal-Mart Christmas commercial in your future Michael! God Bless and stay safe.
Nah man the subscribers will listen to 30+ min vids, your advisor is wrong.
Man I’d love to smoke a cigar with this guy.

Mr Franzese is a much more sociable guy than me. I got out of prison in
2014 and the LAST thing I wanted was to be around people...ANY people. In fact, I
still avoid public places and crowds to this day and I mostly stay to myself. It's not that I'm a hater, I just don't trust people...not even family.
I'm addicted to this channel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me too 😂😁😁
Me 3!
8:56 Just when I thought I was out.
They put me back in!
Hey Michael love hearing your stories makes me feel a little less alone. God bless you and the family.
I say again Walyo, being incarcerated sucks. It does not matter where, why, or how long or the reason it just sucks. That advice DID NOT work for me. It's just time that you cannot get back.
Mob guys had the luxury of going to Federal prisons which are much nicer and way less violent than state prisons. Half of them wouldn't make it in california state prison. To hard-core.
Lompoc and terminal island are in California
@@guardinoinc.7490 they are federal prisons in california. Not california state prisons. Also fed prisons were even way nicer than they are now when Michael was doing time.
Yes u are correct they are Fed prisons. I would also have to agree with Pepe Aguilar’s comment
HEY MIKE. I HAVE AN INTERESTING STORY FOR YOU. MY UNCLE TOMMY D MADE YOU. SURE YOU REMEMBER HIM. I WOUND UP WORKING AT MDC BROOKLYN AS A REC OFFICER. SPOKE TO YOUR DAD ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS WHILE HE WAS THERE. VERY RESPECTED BY ALL. I USED TO KID WITH HIM. TELL HIM HE WAS 94 AND HE HAD A BETTER HEAD OF HAIR THAN ME! MOST MADE GUYS WERE COOL. NO NEED TO PROVE THEMSELVES. I COULD TELL YOU A FEW STORIES MIKE. THINK HALF OF BROOKLYN WISE GUYS CAME THROUGH MDC!🇮🇹😂🇮🇹
Thank you Mr. Franzese and God bless you
We want longer videos. Michael Franzese "No you don't, how bout a part two?" All right.
Michael Franzese: helping us all through the pandemic one video at a time!
Hey Mike!
My question is how to you TRULY feel about the guys that flipped?? I know our faith doesn't want us to harbor hate or resentment. I do think its ok to say you know what i really dont like this guy and i would rather not talk about it..We dont always habe to take the high road!!!😜
Michael needs to go on the Joe Rogan show. Let's all flood Joe's email requesting that
Why?...so he can get censored?....why do you all want mike on Rogan?.....What’s he gonna talk about MMA...Pot....just enjoy the videos
@@carlstrickland5573 I'm not a big fan of Joe myself but he's probably the most popular podcaster and Joe seems to have a lot of mediocre people on. I think Michael would be one of his most popular.
Hello my name is cecilia valenzuela I met you in California San Jose at church Cathedral of Faith you spoke there you really changed me and my kids life we're all serving gone now God bless you and your family 🙏
The old saying is you learn from your mistakes............ but as I got older and wiser I realized if you can learn from other people's mistakes you're way better off
Mike wasnt Carmine Persico in lompoc also? If so were u there at the same time as him? Junior was the real deal in the life of LCN!
HEYY What do u mean you ppl..... Just kidding,,,Hey Mr Franzese plz anything under 30 min is not enough I enjoy listening to u. I have said this a million times when you speak I can see it play out in my head
Mr. Franzese, WE WILL watch u for waaaay longer...at LEAST 30min to an hr...more if its as interesting as I know it will be. BUT, the masses wont, youre right about that, the majority of YT viewers have the attention span of a 4yr old so unfortunately for US you gotta keep most vids short and to the point. But what if you made a special "extended cut" for us enthusiasts out here who'd LOVE to watch u go on forever in great detail! That would be fantastic! You wouldnt have to do much extra work, just simply tell the entire story as usual and cut it way down for YT but then give your real fans the whole uncut version.... just a suggestion, sir.
My dad never counseled me on how to act in prison, should I feel deprived but Glad you took your dad’s advice. It served you well.👍👍👍
I heard that drinking alcohol mixed with sweet fruit juices makes you more drunk. (I don't really know - I don't drink)
Not that I have noticed
The yeast they used to brew the hooch was still in there and mixes with the sugar in the fruit in your stomach and makes more alcohol.
Mike: "CountTime"
You should do a story on that famous 4pm hour in the BOP
So happy for your success on the channel. Beats traveling all over the world.
You inspire me to want to do better in life. I'm having some struggles and listening to you is therapeutic for me and I'm trying to find the steps I need to turn my life around. Thank you
Never trust anyone in Prison or anywhere. This lieutenant that was trying to sneak you off prison, could have set you up for the wise guys out there that wanted your head. Good that you didn’t take the ride, today you couldn’t be here if otherwise👌🏻
I wonder if he ever had a confrontation with la eme (Mexican mafia) or nuestra familia with sureños and norteños in prison ever exchanging stories my brothers are norteños and I used to associate with them too I changed seen your videos and you’ve inspired me to keep on the right path as well
I dont think you understand that people will literally listen to you for hours. Anyone who give you the advice that people only watch/ listen for "xx minutes" is full it. People thought that about Joe rogan too and he has the biggest following. None of his videos are cut short. If you have good content,(which you do) people will listen as long as you will give us
So awesome. I’m so glad I met you in person back in 2011 Michael. Means so much more to me
