@Jams Staley I know what you mean since De Niro has become an elitist now and he is simply too old i mean it would be ridiculous for a 78 year old grandpa to play Mr. Michael Franzese who was in his late 30's when he was at the top of his game. However younger Robert De Niro? That would be amazing in my personal opinion because no matter how one might feel about De Niro and his politics and what not, he really was one of the best actors in the world until the mid 90's. I just hope Dicaprio doesn't play him that guy is even worse than De Niro and he is overrated AF.

I can relate to some things that you said, Sir, about accomplishing sometimes I thought was impossible. I graduated Army Basic Training when I was 37. Totally doubted my physical abilities before arriving at FT Knox in 2009, but after two weeks of physical training followed by ten weeks of Army Basic Combat Training, I made it. Plus seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training. I found out that ones own capabilities are, for the most part, far greater than our minds tell us. I prayed each day "Dear Lord, please give my body just one more day."

I woulda never thought as a child I would of been able to run thru those flames and kick open the front door, but I did it. Granted afterwards I went into a coma & had to learn how to walk again and talk again after many months of being in the hospital and many different surgeries & procedures. My Dad had got super drunk one night and he was around a burn barrel and needless to say his ass went up in flames. And I remember this vividly because I was in Middle School and my dad had just moved back down here like a year or two prior to that. He got third-degree burns on his back they had to take skin grafts from the back of his legs and put that skin on his back. My dad's back still ain't right he has to wear a special kind of shirt so the heat doesn't mess with where he got burned. Doctor told me the only thing that saved my Dad's life was the alcohol he had consumed so much that it kinda didn't work out in his favor in the beginning but in the end it worked out just fine considering he could have died. Ya gotta be careful around fire a lot of things in this world are forgiving but fire is not one of those things that is forgiving. Its the opposite of forgiving.

Not even my own parents.
I watched more videos about you and speeches you gave. I changed my life around. I even started reading the Bible. I watch crime films, some family members say during it "I could never whack someone I'm a good person." Not true. They just wouldn't take a life over money. Put that same person in a break in of their home, or a criminal has a weapon on their kid, or someone attacks their wife mocks their Mom, they'll get lethal. Finding out what you're capable of cuts both ways, not always good.

Mr. Franzese, thank you for sharing that story for several reasons. As a veteran, having you discuss those critical moments before and after experiencing them, is something that is not discussed enough with people who have come out of similar situations. There are a lot of parallels between the lifestyle from the sense of family to the expectation of obedience and violence. I am grateful you speak so honestly and bare so much of your experiences so others may learn. Thank you.
