It’s rare to find people with loyalty like this even though jerry wasn’t a made guy and you knew jerry was in the wrong, you still had his back. Most people nowadays are fake as hell. Respect ✊🏼
If Mike let Jerry die the rest his crew would question his power? "What is the point of me working with someone who doesn't use his power to help me? What good is he? Is he weak?" I remember reading this story in one of Mike's books. I think Jerry had to pay for the new car which is the right thing to do. Hi Mike , Umberto from Italy here. I was literally fascinated from this sit down and the moral behind Jerry’s story What you depicted it a true life lesson. Never ever be disrespectful, try avoiding unnecessary arguments you may trigger something bigger then you. I was born in the 60’s in a big industrial town in Norther Italy and in those days mafia started to develop its business We were kids and it was inevitable to confront at times with gangs. The first lesson we were told was exactly what you told Jerry. Keep low profile, If someone provokes you, bite your tongue and get away before you finds yourself in big trouble. Great life lesson Mike You did the right thing. 200%, and probably Jerry will never know he was jut an inch away to go upstairs and meet St Peter. Thank you for sharing your experience with us
Rahab lied to protect the two Israelite spies in Jericho and the Bible never reprimands her for it. So even though telling the truth is honorable, the value of human life is greater.
Regarding Rahab, the argument from silence is a fallacy. Ananias and Saphira were executed by God himself for lying - and they were operating under the new covenant, as Christians. If the value of human life was greater than truth, the wages of sin would not be death.
@@The_Scouts_Code "Christians" aren't under a "new Covenant". God made no promise, of a new Covenant with anyone, other than the house of Israel, and Judah. This idea of a "new Covenant" for Christians, is a fallacy, not supported by the teachings of Jesus, or the OT.
Yep. He got a new car out of it too. The other car was probably fine, but he figured if he started a fight over it and got the guy to yell at him, he could scam a new car out of the guy by telling Mario about it.
Yeah you'd like to think that nobody is smart enough to pull a 3-d chess move like that unless he had done it before and it worked out like a charm previously.
Doubt it, would definitely be an issue if his brother in law kept going around stirring shit with other guys. Even for made men they gotta keep an image up, and it wouldn't look good if one of their people was acting up.
Yup, and sounds like Mario was the type of mob guy that was overly violent and an asshole. Taking a man's life over an unrelated argument with his BIL? Fuck man, I know these guys are killers but that sounds outrageous even in a movie setting. Beat up Jerry? Sure. Hospital? Maybe a broken bone at the most but killing him? The justice doesn't equal the crime. It would be like a judge sentencing you to the death penalty because he heard you called him in asshole from a 3rd party. I'm guessing Mario didn't end up living very long after this. Loose cannon.
@@ZacharyCusanelli the story literally said that mario was one of the old guys. Thats how he got to the top, hes not a loose cannon he just lashes out at people who disrespect him. Michael is one of a VERY few who has been permitted to both "retire" from active mob life, and do so with the blessing of the Mafia and not have to be constantly looking over his shoulder.
He had to live in hiding for years because there were contracts on his life, even approved by his own father, a story he's told a few times. Would hardly call that "with the blessing of the mafia." The only real reason he's been able to be so public is he's basically out lived the guys that wanted him dead essentially.
Your comment cements exactly why the Mafia are all slime. They betray and kill their own so called loyal members. They are low life criminals nothing more and certainly not to be admired. They steal from the common man and rule through fear and violence. THEY ARE ALL SCUM

To sit and listen, and to hear the way things were in the mafia, from someone that was there, is truly eye-opening. My father was a decorated policeman, and the reason he left the police force, is because of all the corruption. He was one of the few, honest cops. Three years after he left, the whole force that he was part of, went down and all went to jail. I would rather trust the word of a made guy, than a man in a uniform with a badge, that is corrupt. Hi Mike , Umberto from Italy here. I was literally fascinated from this sit down and the moral behind Jerry’s story
What you depicted it a true life lesson.
Never ever be disrespectful, try avoiding unnecessary arguments you may trigger something bigger then you.
I was born in the 60’s in a big industrial town in Norther Italy and in those days mafia started to develop its business
We were kids and it was inevitable to confront at times with gangs.
The first lesson we were told was exactly what you told Jerry. Keep low profile, If someone provokes you, bite your tongue and get away before you finds yourself in big trouble.
Great life lesson Mike
You did the right thing. 200%, and probably Jerry will never know he was jut an inch away to go upstairs and meet St Peter.

He also clearly had no intention of killing jerry whatsoever, he knew thta if he kept the pressure up his brother in law would get an apology or a new car and he would look tougher to all his associates for it.

Michael is one of a VERY few who has been permitted to both "retire" from active mob life, and do so with the blessing of the Mafia and not have to be constantly looking over his shoulder.
like John Wick, only with much less killing men in bars with a pencil.
He had to live in hiding for years because there were contracts on his life, even approved by his own father, a story he's told a few times. Would hardly call that "with the blessing of the mafia." The only real reason he's been able to be so public is he's basically out lived the guys that wanted him dead essentially.
He was in no way shape or form permitted to retire. It just so happens he has outlived them all or they are in prison serving life sentences.
