Dream - Animated in Procreate Dreams - Finished Export and Story Reel

- I thought it would be interesting to show the story reel I boarded and presented to Procreate next to the finished export. I like to stick very close to my boards when I'm animating my own story reels. Because the software wasn't ready at the time, I boarded the reel in Photoshop and cut it together in Premier. The score was created by Max Mueller.
This was animated in Procreate Dreams animation software. Available November 22 Procreate.com/Dreams

About Aaron Blaise:

Aaron Blaise is an animation feature film director and wildlife artist.
For 21 years Aaron worked with Disney helping to create some of the greatest animated films ever made. During that time he worked as an animator or supervising animator on "The Rescuers Down Under", "Beauty and the Beast", "Aladdin", "The Lion King", "Pocahontas", "Mulan" and more.
In 2003 he was co-director of "Brother Bear" for which he earned an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature Film.
After "Brother Bear" he helped to develop several projects but ultimately left Disney to pursue an opportunity back home in Florida. aaa I was hoping you upload a storyboard or at least a comparison version, this looks freaking great. I love the ending in the storyboard of a floating penguin with the seagulls that way, it looks like a flying bean or spaceship. ♥

I really wish they announced this app about a week or two before release, not two months. I mean, I’m excited… and now what? Twiddle my thumbs for those months?
I got flashbacks of the short KIWI when I saw the penguin wanting to fly.
But this at least didn't make me ugly cry.

If this is what can be done in Procreate Dreams, I'm sold!!! Story-wise, I thought the little guy would end up in the water and realise he can "fly" in his own way by doing magestic sweeps in the deep. But flying off with his seagull buddies was a cute way to wrap it up ^_^
Was the storyboard/animatic also made in Procreate Dream, or was it made using the storyboard feature in TVPaint 11?
He definitely is a skillful animator because idk how he made this in Procreate Dreams with lack of features, and it’s definitely not beginner friendly. The most you can animate in dreams at the moment is smaller animation test until they do more updates because unless you are a very skillful animator, it is not this simple. It also doesn’t seem like he used Key Frames or Performance mode, which are the main features, this just looks like Frame by Frame animation. Overall it still a good animation ❤

Woah nice! Just wondering - does procreate dreams allow you to create your storyboard animatic? Or did you create the animatic as seen on the right here elsewhere? Or are the options for frame per second too quick/animation speed?
You can do it either way. In the app or outside and drag them in

No. They're two different platforms. I will not give up animating on my big Cintiq.
The mind-blowing thing is that the old-school animators are not only perfect in animating and drawing. I am a self-taught skeleton animator, drawing skills are not really necessary for my job but I feel disabled in some way, without drawing skills because if I don't get a model or painting from another artist I can do nothing :/

Is this one project? (The final version). How much can you fit into the machine at one time? Is it doing it all in ram or streaming from storage?
