I’ll still probably get dreams when it comes out because I was waiting for something like this for so long! Currently I’m animating on photoshop with some very helpful plugins that make the process pretty tolerable, but it’s still clunky in many ways and I’m excited to see how procreate fares in comparison
I use Procreate extensively/my go to program for digital art. I’ve tried animating before, but due to the difficulty/subscriptions / and Procreate only having a basic understanding I just gave up. Now I see myself actually making full on animatics like I want with this!!❤
Reaching my limits with my current iteration MacBook for blender projects, I am really seeing this procreate dreams and moving to the iPad for all my animation workflows. Gonna be a whole new era of artists.
As an iPad artist, a really big fan of procreate AND an animator student, IM SO FREAKING HAPPY!!! Finally an animating program that feels complete and good! (I know flipaclip exists but it’s so bad, sorry but the brushes and others aspects sucks a lot)
The only thing I’m sad about as an illustration/animation student is that my main animation project is this semester 💀 However I can’t wait to use it for my future projects and assignments!
So cool that they did this! It is so nice to have an app that was made FOR the Ipad and looks like a very professional app. They understand what we want and need and applied it. I’m very happy they made a separate app. Just really really really happy about it. What ever the price will be, to me, it would feel fair no matter what.
How do you animators script and keep track of your stories as you create? -- Getting into animation seems like movie making: idea and story line, charcter development, setting up scenes and transitions, single movie or series. -- Mostly i draw but each one has a story with me naming the character or scene. So i figure i might as well try animation. With Procreate Dreams it seems less daunting. 6:20 The support for test running portions in-app to external monitor is smart.
I love this so much! I can’t wait to animate layers again - I quit aftereffects after moving away from Adobe, and Clip Studio is difficult to animate with for me. If Procreate ever makes a desktop version, and/or makes vector layers, i doubt i’ll use clip studio much again.
I'm so happy to see this excellent company and its applications flourish. Besides, I wish more people would add some nuance to all the subscription-hate. As an example, the problem with Adobe's subscription model is not the monthly fee, but the fact that once you stop paying the monthly fee, you can't use CCSuite any more, even if you've been paying it for several years. This is a business model that should be banned on principle.
Oh wow. As a huge fan of Procreate, I was stoked when I saw this thumbnail. “Procreate… Dream?" Instant click, lol. As the video went on, I felt a clench in my gut, wondering if, with all these new features, Procreate Dream would be subscription-based. Amazed that it is still a one-time purchase! I’ll be buying it on release, no doubt!
Thank you for your reply! I am so excited to use the new app. I wish they would consider direct recording as it will make it easier to do everything in just 1 app
Procreate as a company seriously gives me hope. It’s so refreshing to see a company that actually cares about its users while everyone else seems to be jumping onto the ai trend (fck you adobe), so even though I didn’t plan on getting into animation, I‘ll definitely buy Dreams to support them
OMG I can’t wait! Absolutely so made up that Procreate is releasing this, and that they have made it ONE TIME PURCHASE when everyone else is making everything subscription only, which makes it impossible for the younger upcoming animators to use. This is also a brilliant price, again perfect for the same reason. Also for people like me, a 53 YO who is struggling with mental health and because of that, struggling financially too. I love Procreate, I get lost in using it, and I’ve always wanted to do animation. Now I have the chance! Thank you for sharing this, I now know what I’m going to treat myself with for Christmas!
OMG IM SOOO EXCITED FOR PROCREATE DREAMS like I have procreate since 2013 before it I couldn’t find a good program until it and I have been using it since I couldn’t work will with animation assist But I will buy dream because Ik it will help me more
Clip studio still have a lot of features that speeds up animating a ton over this, but very exited to see if they adopt some of these eventually. I think on the surface this might be aimed a bit more for beginners, but has potential to be a game changer. I may be wrong.. looking forward to November❤
I've been looking at other videos for this and it seemed like it was mostly like puppet movements- Are you able to do frame by frame animation like Procreate or do I need to start on Procreate and import?
As a professional artist who has worked in many different fields, I’ve always wanted to try my hand at 2D animation…..I’ve dabbled with software like Pencil and Clip Studio but this looks like a real game changer for me…..can’t wait to get my hands on a copy!
I’ve always been worried about the limitations with the built in procreate animation assist, thinking I’d have to work between importing my files between an editor back and forth with a thousand files. So having all the features of procreate and an editor in one app is perfect.
I'm so excited! Like, I'm not an animator but I enjoy playing around with it. I'm wondering if my Ipad can handle it though, I think it's the earliest model that could handle regular procreate.
I’ve been looking to dump Adobe from my animation pipeline for a long time, have come close (thanks Procreate and Affinity!) but always get hung up on finding an After Effects replacement. Maybe the compositing capability in this will be the final shot I need to finally kill off the Adobe Frankenstein.
Omfg this is my dream. I’ve been wanting to try animating for a while, but the only app I like is procreate and it’s animate assist so far has been very mid-tier (functional, but very limited) I am so excited for this!
And here I was wondering how I going to get started making graphic illustrations. Or those very minimalistically animated illustrations. Then this comes out.
really random but where is that outdoor space in London at 0:03? I've passed by it before visiting from the states and really liked how the projection mapping was done there. any input would be greatly appreciated!

I’m very happy they made a separate app. Just really really really happy about it. What ever the price will be, to me, it would feel fair no matter what.
Such a good video Brookes! So nice meeting you at the event!
Thank you Michael, Same here!
This is incredible , can't wait to jump into it!
Cant wait to get this app! This makes me reconsidering Frame by Frame animation.
OMG IT'S BIKO TELL HIM I LOVE HIM
He smiled 🙂
@@CharacterDesignForge can I pat le biko?
I will be 100% buying this!
I can finally get good at animation as I love animation, drawing, and 2d movies (Wolfwalkers, etc)
So excited for this!!!
💪😤big amplifying and diversifying the GetMadz workflow hours out here
as someone who wants to start learning animation and do storyboarding, this app seems amazing
Awesome overview...I am really looking forward to this software. I love the "performing" concept.
This IS the New best thing in digital art, Motion graphics, video editing, etc….Alongside with blender this IS the thing. Definitely buying it.
I didn’t care about the app because I lack the patience to do animation, but this video hyped me the heck up
If they ever implement a rigging system, would be amazing
Love the one time purchase. It seems like everything is moving towards subscriptions and it’s getting to be overwhelming! Can’t wait to buy this.
Amazing! Is there a recording option for audio voice over?
Import for audio and video, no direct recording planned right now!
Thank you for your reply! I am so excited to use the new app. I wish they would consider direct recording as it will make it easier to do everything in just 1 app
Procreate as a company seriously gives me hope. It’s so refreshing to see a company that actually cares about its users while everyone else seems to be jumping onto the ai trend (fck you adobe), so even though I didn’t plan on getting into animation, I‘ll definitely buy Dreams to support them
Honestly the fact it’s a one time purchase already makes it amazing, it wouldn’t even need all those features for me to buy it
I've always been intimidated by animation but maybe this way I can start applying everything I've studied
I am SO excited for this
MOM I’M GONNA LEARN ANIMATION
I cant wait for this, ive been animating on procreate whoch wasnt to bad but lacked all the feaures
I’m definitely gonna be using procreate Dream especially to begin doing animations
I cannot wait for this it looks incredible.
Love the app so much , and Georgie is so bloody gorgeous
Any chance they will be adding bone tools or a skeleton system to make puppet rigs and a swap layer system for lip-synch? Very informative video
is there any audio scrubbing in the flipbook mode? it would be so extremely nice it it has that feature....
We need an iPad xl to be paired with this!
OMG IM SOOO EXCITED FOR PROCREATE DREAMS
like I have procreate since 2013 before it I couldn’t find a good program until it and I have been using it since
I couldn’t work will with animation assist
But I will buy dream because Ik it will help me more
Clip studio still have a lot of features that speeds up animating a ton over this, but very exited to see if they adopt some of these eventually. I think on the surface this might be aimed a bit more for beginners, but has potential to be a game changer. I may be wrong.. looking forward to November❤
I've been looking at other videos for this and it seemed like it was mostly like puppet movements-
Are you able to do frame by frame animation like Procreate or do I need to start on Procreate and import?
Seems very well designed and thoughtout
As a professional artist who has worked in many different fields, I’ve always wanted to try my hand at 2D animation…..I’ve dabbled with software like Pencil and Clip Studio but this looks like a real game changer for me…..can’t wait to get my hands on a copy!
I’ve always been worried about the limitations with the built in procreate animation assist, thinking I’d have to work between importing my files between an editor back and forth with a thousand files. So having all the features of procreate and an editor in one app is perfect.
Ohhhhh my god. This is insane I’m so excited
I can’t wait to get this app!!
I'm so excited to try this
This is so awesome!! I can't wait for when I get to use it. Nothing compares to Procreate for me.
Omfg this is my dream. I’ve been wanting to try animating for a while, but the only app I like is procreate and it’s animate assist so far has been very mid-tier (functional, but very limited)
I am so excited for this!
And here I was wondering how I going to get started making graphic illustrations. Or those very minimalistically animated illustrations. Then this comes out.
I literally can’t wait
really random but where is that outdoor space in London at 0:03? I've passed by it before visiting from the states and really liked how the projection mapping was done there. any input would be greatly appreciated!
Animation major here I am unimaginable excited
georgie!!! i love her she's a procreate icon ngl
2nd screen support!? Good to know.
I'm so happy to those people who can fully utilize and use Procreate products to its full extent. I wish I was talented and have ipad like you guys.
Great video, providing yet more reasons to love that company, especially with the down to earth lady expressing their desire to foster creativity. I use affinity designer, affinity photo, and of course procreate, all on ipad, and am happy to say rarely give adobe money.
This is incredible. I could make an animated short with these tools😊
ANYONE could, it’s so exciting!
Im gonna get procreate tmrw just bc i see how good it is I’d love to be a member😆
I will not walk but RUN to get this app. I'm giddy at the thought of applying this to Vtuber assets with the iPad.
same! list for assets are definitely getting longer with this app 😁
Hi. This is a very comprehensive and well explained video. It clear some questions I had about the app. Thank you for sharing!
New app looks awesome! Will be a definite purchase for me. Hope you didn't melt in the heat, Brookes!
