Undertale guitar hero
One of my biggest goals when working on this game was to make the engine as authentic as possible, while adding some minor improvements. So when people ask "Is this a mod?", it actually makes me really happy, because it tells me that I've accomplished my goal.
You really accomplished, it is REALLY authentic and feels like Undertale, you know what I mean, It is great, the reason why I love UTY so much is because of the authenticity, good job!

i love how this boss basically had like NO build-up. All the other bosses had like SOME way of build-up, even the Guardener had the blueprints like a few feet ahead, but this guy just came out of NOWHERE
That’s what makes it so cool.
Also it did have buildup, just not to this boss CHARACTER but the background, the tonal shift, and the beautiful sights just tell you “this is the end of this section”. So you would know that a boss is coming right up. Especially with that light tower of sorts

Some of the noticable changes from the development version shown here and the release version:
1. Note bars are vertically longer than the current version
2. The background is different than what it is now
3. Danza's sprites seem to be different
4. Note hit particles are seen but are not present as yellow in the original game
I must say, this fan game has just come a LONG way! I’ve been following it for ages, and I’m just really happy with you’ve all been able to get along with it.

@@jamesverner9132 Keep in mind that I played the game we it just released and at that time they were no videos about secret bosses or secret collectibles but I did eventually beat him and stopped at axis

@@KC_GarciaThat's what I did on my first run 🤣, somehow was significantly easier when I came back to the Pacifist Route (granted, he's easy in comparison when you do the Genocide route in its entirety)
Either I'm really good, or really bad at rhytm games, because I had no problem with this guy.

This is actually pretty clever. Undertale is already a game that combines multiple game genres together, so it's cool that this game took inspiration from that and added another genre to the mix.
Another comment pointed out that he has no buildup and its a lot funnier if youre shit at the game. The guy showed up out of nowhere and immediately kicked my ass

damn I completely forgot I commented this and now, 3 years later (and after finishing the game), I can confirm that the wait was COMPLETELY worth it. This fangame is AMAZING and anyone can see the love and effort put into it. They really captured the essence of Undertale and made a beautiful composed prequel to the main story. The music, the characters, the sprites' animation, the storytelling and everything else works so well put together. Thank you for this amazing masterpiece, devs and UTY team!!

I have to say, Undertale was a game I loved, but it was ruined by the “fans.” No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t take the AUs, and the ships, and especially the fetish art. It ruined me so badly, that when I saw some Undertale AU comics I actually wanted to read, that stigma ruined my chances at enjoying it.
But Undertale Yellow is different.
I don’t know if it’s the quality, the story, or the fact that it’s a prequel and not a f*cking AU, but I’m actually excited to see this game.
So congratulations Master Sword, you restored my excitement for Undertale.
As long as Sans is either not in this, or done right, I’ll be good.
The devs confirmed Sans won't be in the game.

I think it's great, but there are some major deterrents. 1. The weird English. I don't hold this against the developers because that'd be unfair, English isn't their first language, however it does make it weird to read dialogue sometimes. 2. cooper's design is horrid 3. I don't like that you only fight against enemies once and that there are no random encounters. It makes neutral annoying as fuck bc you used to be able to kill everyone in your way but then not grind and it was neutral but not anymore. I do love the game overall, it's really good and fun! It's just those things could use a touch-up -especially cooper's design-
