Its still the most underrated TW of all time. I love the time period and its a shame they never brought out proper DLCs like 1066 or some with parts of mainland europe/skandinavia with Frankia for example. The 1066 Mod is dope though!
Agrees the sieges are the best ever. The battles are balanced perfectly. The atmosphere is perfect for the location. And no one who hates the games seems to understand your generals are your agents.... Great game. Tons of replay with all the diff faction mechanics and troop strengths.

I was in a chat today and we had a conversation about who’s playing total war. 189 people were playing Thrones of Britannia and that sucks 😢because the multiplayer and the battle maps are excellent 👍
I absolutely love this game, and the mods are awesome for it. I never had a problem with coming back to it for a playthrough or two once a year since I’ve had it. The time period and feel of it, the sound design, the sieges, it’s all worth playing ever so often. You can definitely see some inspiration from AoC DLC in Attila. While yes shieldwall mod makes for a more realistic unit size and overall flow of the game. It just feels silly with a giant burh to defend or attack with such tiny forces. Field battles is definitely where shieldwall shines. Wessex and Strat Clyde are my favorite factions.

If we could get a game from this time period that combines the best features of crusader kings, Total War, and Mount & Blade, it would be the game above all games. Ideally, it would just take Crusader Kings and add Total Wars' battles with the ability to control a single person in battle in a Mount and Blade Bannerlord type combat system. The tricky part would be finding the right way to blend the 3, but man would that game be something... Heck, it could even add in a touch of Civilization 6, and have the technologies advance through time... Start in the bronze age and advance into the modern, with the whole earth being the map! 🤣
Agreed I started playing this because BL you didn't have enough control in your sieges... The ability to make commands like TW the zoom in like BL would AWESOMENESS.
Idk how it works exactly, but there is a mod called "Crusader Blade" that apparently has a system to switch between Crusader Kings 3 for management, and the M&B Bannerlord wherever you get into battles. Might be worth looking into.

Yup. My integrated graphics crap-top can play it on low to medium and its surprisingly aesthetically pleasing. But even though it looks good, it's not the smoothest experience
Attila is more varsatile, with a tons of factions and mods funny to play like AOV or Radious or MK 1212AD... TOB have a strong mecanics and few type of units...
I love Thrones, but this mod was awful. As the Normans, you cannot declare war for the first 10 turns, yet you are out of supplies and are depleting manpower.
Still has the same issue as all Thrones mods. The battles are over in literally 4 seconds, tactics and strategy just doesnt exist in the battles, which to me makes it unplayable. sad because becides from that i think Thrones with the mods is getting good.
You can't declare war on anyone as the Normans you have to join a war with another faction it is not a proper DLC this was a shit mod don't bother with this one.
