When this pandemic has calmed down and it is possible to travel again I suggest that you go to Edinburgh and explore and do things like Edinburgh castle, national museum and other things, plenty to do!
@@UltimateBucketList you're actually 1 of 10 channels i watch you are very educational and have a unique humor. I also take your Budapest video as inspiration for a trip after coronavirus is done what would you recommend the most in Budapest?
Superb, on the fly, videoing. I agree, why not? I'm disappointed about the basement. Not even the steps down to it apparently. The carvings are certainly exquisite and I believe it's a disservice to visitors, particularly after Dan Brown's amazing promotion of the book as well as the film. Thank you for bending the rules so we can see at least some of this amazing church.
No problem! They quote 'health and safety' as the reason why they don't want you to film, but that's a sham. It's really to stop people cashing in on it, which I can understand but it ruins the experience for everyone! else! Amazing place though, I actually drove past this today. Definitely worth visiting!
Maybe when you say if you get enough reccomedations you will go ahead and do that, you should add: when this corona thing passes (I've been told it could be years though social distancing will occasionally be relaxed a little).
If you like conspiracy theories, you'll love this place. Even though historians have debunked the Knights Templar, the masons, the Illuminati and the Holy Grail theories - when you walk around, you can believe that these things were true. The signs are there ... especially the blood around the Apprentice Pillar!
wow. Thanks for sharing this video. I could get a Crystal clear idea about this place. Still, I want to visit myself one day. But, You have done wonderful work even without permission to film. I felt that I have been there myself.
Not just a figment of Dan Brown's imagination, which is why I was visiting the Chapel (and it's interesting museum) to research similar theories years before his books were written. Incidentally, if you are a Freemason, different and more enlightening tours of Rosslyn Chapel can be arranged.
@@UltimateBucketList I am not disagreeing with you. However, Dan Brown may have made some of these theories popular but let's not credit him with originating them. Rosslyn Chapel is a fascinating structure and well done on capturing some of the detail.
@@UltimateBucketList I wonder if the historians that proved everything wrong are the same sort who called a 30,000+ year old ceremonial burial of a man a "Roman lady prostitute" or called the 5200 year old buildings in Ireland that light up with lunar/solar events a "2000 year old burial tomb" Though I often find with people who think rules are for other people, they tend to think they know better than every other person.
@@UltimateBucketList I be there today and i take some videos jajaja a bad ones, and some goods, because one the ladys let me take some fast hahahaha so i dont know if be bad put in here in youtube in my channel hahahaha
...the most unpleasant place in the chapel is the anti room to the left Off the crypt. Very damp cold and "inhabited" by those of old. The Glen and the Castle may well be spooky. It's like the roman soldiers in the forest - probably the Pan -ic thing - all verdant and natural but that alcove is seriously ghastly.
I did notice that. It probably would have been a lot creepier if the place wasn't populated by a thousand tourists when I went. I know what you mean though ...!
The architecture is really nice but they don't do justice to the temples of India, their carvings are very complicated and beautiful, some of them are carved from mountains too and perfectly.
An awesome chapel. You were told not to photo this place. You are very entitled & rude to go against the rules. We didnt photograph anything so do not see why you couldnt bring yourself to obey the rules. A bit of self dusaplune us what you nee.😮
How hypocritically sanctimonious of you. It's ironic that you admonish me, whilst at the same time looking for videos about Roslin Chapel yourself. Surely if you're so hell-bent on "following the rules"; then you just wouldn't seek out videos, given that they oppose your apparent 'moral compass'. For the avoidance of doubt: most of the footage in this video is actually from a BBC documentary (fair use), with the odd clip showing the missing bits and the exterior. If I need self-discipline, then you need to lighten the hell up. Along with going back to school and retaking English lessons to address your appalling spelling and grammar.
@@UltimateBucketList You could have made your video with this stock footage then. I see it not as about following rules, but respecting being in what is essentially a sacred place (for some people, not me I might add). Go to any tourist destination around the world these days and it's horrible, everyone taking selfies, making TikToks, etc. Our world has become consumed by such nonsense, to the point that I actually applaud any place that has restrictions on taking photos/videos as it gives us peace to just enjoy the moment like we used to.
The creativity of the walls tells the story of how beautifully its been crafted. Loved the church!
It really does!

I already did ... the footage didn't turn out great at all.
I'll have to go back in summer to do that.

Thanks. Yeah, they're very twitchy about filming, so you have to do it covertly. Glad you enjoyed the video.

I don't know that for sure, but I can believe that Freemasons get different tours of the chapel.

Oh definitely! It's totally worth visiting once in your life.
It’s incredible! Full of the most amazing stone carvings, both biblical, and Green Men - loads of them!
Lots and lots of Labia
Above those phallus pillars... .
You noticed that, huh?

When sports come back you should go to a baseball game at London stadium
My tickets got cancelled for this year's London series. They cancelled the whole event.

Yes, I suppose you're right.
If you can't feel the hidden mistery, then you are not seeing with your inner eye....
Ummm, yes.
Rosslyn Chapel - ROSS = Rose - LYN = Lake. Mary Magdalene is The Lady of The Lake.
Interesting.
