An interesting theory I heard was that Picard never actualy leaves the Nexus, and every movie since then except the reboot has been his fantasies. That explains why he becomes an action hero ("I teamed up with James Kirk! Then I fought a bunch of mutants to protect the fountain of youth! And then I beamed aboard the evil Romulan command ship and just totally shot the place up!") and also why they make less and less sense as they go on.
Even though i *love* this movie, this might be the best Rifftrax favorites video i've seen. The lines about Teddy Ruxpin, "bouncin' on the Counselor" and Reading Rainbow were rampantly lol-worthy! Guinan Cologist. XD
Chekov may have been an underutilized character, but Walter Koenig is absolutely brilliant. Alfred Bester of Babylon 5 is one of my favorite characters in fiction, period.
It seems to be a rather sad fact that there is a shortage of good roles for older actors, especially ones capable of far better things. And especially given the decline in the quality of movies generally.
While that is a valid point, I consider a plot hole to be something the writers/directors completely and totally forgot about, whereas bad writing is making your hero or villain stupidly powerful and able to overcome unrealistic amounts of hardship, like Shinzon. While Shinzon's ascension was not impossible, it was implausible enough to kill any enjoyment. The solar probe getting to the sun in eight seconds, the fact the Doctor doesn't beam BACK into the Nexus, and the shields are plot holes.
Kirk deserved to go out at the helm of burning bridge crashing to a Klingon/Romulan Battlecruiser in order to save the entire cosmos - NOT falling off a damn bridge!
Using Sulu's voice on his daughter is so much win, I died.
R.I.P Captain Kirk: his career started with him on the bridge...and ended with the bridge on him
😂Clever!
“Bridge on the captain!”
VERY nice!
You gotta love that Shatner's last words are "OH MY!!!"
"I'll be bouncing on the Counselor" - LOVE IT
Rikker + Troi FTW!
I think by this installment, they were hoping for camp. But I STILL cry when Data finds Spot, every time.
Seeing Kirk die makes me wonder... should I buy more Rifftrax?
"Hello, earth to Picard?" I choked
That "sounds perfect" was both hilarious and a good impression
"I can't help thinking...about those Golden Grahams..."
*laughs myself in seizures*
"Picard to Farragut.."
"What did he just call that guy?!"
LOL, I thought the same thing, too.
At 5:20, I wish they'd done the "Again with the finger!" line from THE SUNSHINE BOYS. That was a very good running joke on MST3K.
Again…with the finger!
Shatner himself did the best riff to this film during filming: 'Bridge on the captain!'

"Ensign Sulu, can you locate them?"
"Right away, captain."
Great compilation and ROFL at a great finishing riff.
This was HILARIOUS!!!! I totally would buy the whole thing if I could find my DVD of this movie...
Even though i *love* this movie, this might be the best Rifftrax favorites video i've seen.

Guinan Cologist. XD
"A personal message... from Earth!"
'It says Heloooo, Earth to Picaaaard!'
I love it. I would have added the part where Worf shouts at Riker, "YOU GOT HAIR IN YOUR EAR!" I miss my computer's rifftraxes...
(5:39-5:43) I love it when RiffTrax mock the technobabble dialogue!
"Picard to Farragut: two to beam up."
"What did he just call that guy?"
"You don't have to quote me in Nike" LOL!
'but, Kirk is a TV hero, I grew up watching him'
'What are you trying to say?'
'I guess I'm trying to say.. BUY MORE RIFFTRAX'
The wind and the sea
Mike: Slab after slab of tawny men
XD
"Hey Nexus, I'm hoping to see the Longhorns take on the Sooners, see what you can do."
"YES, YES, Right Away Sir Sir."
LOL
"Door? What behind this giant door?"
lol
“Romulan, Breen, and Klingon, oh my”
2:40
Freedom! Freedom to contract scurvy and lose all of your teeth at 22!
I love how they throw in a "spooooooock"
"Reading rainbow...ungh!" LOL
Chekov may have been an underutilized character, but Walter Koenig is absolutely brilliant. Alfred Bester of Babylon 5 is one of my favorite characters in fiction, period.
Agreed!!! Just remember that its just a show, we should really just relax. It's mystery grammer used with mithspelling.........
How could you not throw in one Takei "Oh, my" in the Romulan, Klingon, and Breen song? Come on!
0:16
So they're trying to tell me this is the first time Kirk met Sulu's kid?
You'd think he would have mentioned her at some point.,,
No, I'ts just the first time they seen her since she was a wee one. The movie shows the whole clip :)
Let's be fair - if I had a daughter, I'd keep her away from Kirk, too!
“My place is at Priceline.com”
“Yeah, he won a hat!”
“It’s the man who stole my eyebrows”
Though in his defense, he's done some great voice acting. And thank goodness for Heros Season 1 (to hell with the rest of it!)
It seems to be a rather sad fact that there is a shortage of good roles for older actors, especially ones capable of far better things. And especially given the decline in the quality of movies generally.
"At least I'm getting better roles than Ben Kingsley. Poor sap is working for Uwe Boll."
"Port One, engage!"
Go that way!

"Jargon Jargon Crap, Sir" TNG in a nutshell.
you forgot the "Jagermeister" scene! That was the funniest part.
That last joke was great!
"Yay, he won a hat!"
Reading Rainbow uh.. (faints)
00:19
Crying already. "Hello, captain."
"Cool! He can hold his gun gangsta style without turning his wrist!"
xD
I suddenly have the urge to BUY MORE RIFFTRAX
"something about a ring..." !!!!
"Oh, GOD, I,m going to star in 3 more of these movies, plus Chicken Little and Bambi 2."
"Freedom...aboard a cramped little ship." LOL
BUY MORE RIFFTRAX!
"And what does Cerebro say?"
"Magneto"
BUY MORE RIFFTRAX really made me laugh
It's so weird hearing them make reference to 2000's pop culture.
This movie came out in like 95/96. :{
Kirk deserved to go out at the helm of burning bridge crashing to a Klingon/Romulan Battlecruiser in order to save the entire cosmos - NOT falling off a damn bridge!
That straightens my legs!!
7:56 Even the teddy bear outranks Harry Kim. Somehow fitting.
“Lieutenant Ruxpin, noooo!”
"Now take a Midol and freshen up!"
Kevin- "Do you suppose we're seeing the only HAIRLESS part of their breasts?"
Mike- "Argrrrgh! Ahh!"
"Picard to Faragat! Two to beam up!"
What did he just call that guy?
"Crap crap jargon jargon crap, sir. Made up crap jargon bunch of bull crap." So true.
Especially since they pretty much forgot it made Geordi a human tricorder, they might as well have gotten rid of it.
I loved the movie and this is still hilarious lol.
Must be mandatory that they reference Shnappi at least once per movie.
Spoooock.........
Zeng Vuh Sybock!!!
I'll spock you!
Why do I suddenly feel the overwhelming urge to BUY MORE RIFFTRAX?
I never knew Kirk was in Next Gen!
MY COUPON IS GOOD THROUGH TUESDAY ONLY
07:43 Coincidentally, my reaction to Star Trek since 2013.
5:35 WHOAAAAAAAAAA! You're breaking through Doctor Who's universe, there, Data! :P
..."I'll be bouncing on the Councilor!" lmfao
"and what do i get? TANK GIRL!" lol
"Lieutenant Ruxpin, NOOOOOOOO!!!!"
"You think we're seeing the only hairless part of their breasts?"
"DAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! AAH!"
Lol :-D
"Picard to Farragut: Two to beam up."
mike's sulu accent is fantastic!
1:40. I appreciate they used the term "dumbest" ST film. Because while it is dumb for sure, it isn't the worst overall. Star Trek V owns that.
No matter how dumb it may be, at least this movie doesn't have three adult men butchering "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" for like five straight minutes.
"No, please, I have Mario in swimming world....!"
"K, Jean Luc, you don't have to quote me in Nike"
"this is just a Barbie tiara wrapped in aluminum foil."
no no, "The room" was a film they recently riffed on, they had a preview on their channel
Dr Farrogate, two to beam up.
"What did he just call that guy?"
Actually, Takai himself has said that while he is gay, his character Sulu is heterosexual.
It's the man who stole my eyebrows!
The Duras Sisters: the Klingon version of the Olsen Twins!
"HellOOO, earth to Picard!!" lloooool
Lt. Ruxpin! LOLOLOL
@angelmarine1292 going on the first ship called HMS Enterprise, 1709. Their was a ship named that
MUST BUY MORE RIFFTRAX! AND BRAAAAAINS!
"My Dad's gonna kill me"
"Captain Picard, there's a message for you from Earth" "It says "Hello?! Earth to Picard!"
warp 1 engage.
go that way!
almost dropped my drink!
Sulu had a daughter? Now THAT"S Sci Fi.
"I guess what I'm trying to say is BUY MORE RIFFTRAX" ROFL
Freedom within the stiffling confines of a cramped ship
lol
i hate how people complain about them bashing on good movies. I do it to films I like as well as films that just have it coming. It's funny stuff.
"Somewhere Al Gore is chuckling."
"Reading Rainbow... ugh!"
"I guess what I'm saying is... BUY MORE RIFFTRAX!"
XD
Romulan, Breen and Klingon! (Oh my!)
I have this strange feeling that I should BUY MORE RIFFTRAX. Wonder were that came from...
agreed.i find it a little insulting seeing as this was one of the better trek movies.
I guess it's just a matter of taste. It like TNG stuff because it deals more with the human condition and explores it.
Romulans, Breen, and Klingons. Oh, My! . . .but not a Takei Oh, My?!?
