Very cool and necessary update so they are on par with Roland, did you get to balance the weight of the black keys so they don't feel that different from the whites?
Studiologic has very versatile midi software. I can adjust the overall keyboard sensitivity, the ratio of sensitivity between the white and black keys, or the sensitivity of each individual key. You can really make it feel like a well regulated piano that accommodates your personal touch.
Hi, I don't use the onboard sounds. I use my Numa as a midi controller to play virtual pianos like Ivory 3 and others. So I really wouldn't know if the firmware update is an actual improvement. That's really up to people who have experience using the onboard acoustic pianos to determine.
Hi. I've been playing it and would like to record a video soon as I get some time off work. I'm impressed with it for an on-board sound. It's their best piano sound. IMO.
I was looking up something about ph4 vs 50 or something and ended up on some piano action forum and saw a “David B”. Considering the context I would have to assume you are the same David B. I just saw Your numa post on my feed. I most likely will just get sl88 grand…i am a little surprised you have a keyboard with a sound engine….I want the new Nord/yamaha/roland/korg/dexibell/numa but it seems like just get the software and controller… Nice of numa to support the customers i saw they even have a free sound engine app on iOS. Nobody is carry this stuff in stock in Seattle so this type of information is invaluable..you can always tell which product are legitimate when they are being talked about for months or years after the launch date.
Hi. If Studiologic offered a pure midi controller with the TP400 action, that's what I would prefer. However, since the midi implementation would be the same between the two, the only difference now is that I'm paying extra for the GT model that has sounds I rarely use. I would prefer a pure midi controller and that's why I was more interested in the midi improvement in this latest firmware update. The Numa software has great midi flexibility. You can control the ratio of sensitivity between white and black keys or adjust the sensitivity on individual keys. It's like being able to play a well regulated digital piano.
@@Comfort_One_Another That’s right sl88 has 40 vs. 400. I lost track. I have been using Pianoteq for modeling and Ravenscroft for samples. I believe you adjust every key individually on Pianoteq. With
I appreciate you sharing this. Sounds like this is continually improving something that was already pretty great.
Yeah, it's nice to have access to these major upgrades for free.

Please play. So that we can hear what it sounds like. Thank you.

@@Comfort_One_AnotherSorry but, what's the point of this video then? The Stage D is a great addition. Perhaps it's not Pianoteq8 level, but it'll do.
@@doubleohdutch2108 I like the additional midi enhancement in the update. That's relevant for people using the Numa as a midi controller such as I am.
Hi David,
I'd appreciate your subjective/objective opinion on the new Stage D piano Studiologic has introduced?
