In my opinion Bob has never made a bad song...Any song by him and his awesome band is always on point.
Agreed
Did the Silver Bullet Band go into the music of Fame of fame? I don’t think so.🤔
Not being in the rock and roll hall of fame does not mean a band was not good.@@PhilSaunders-c3n
You can be a great band and not be in the music hall of fame...Some singers and bands are in the hall of fame and they should not be in it.@@PhilSaunders-c3n
Spot on
Bob Seger is probably my ultimate favorite!!! He's just beyond magnificent!! He's the ultimate rock and roll poet!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Bob Seger is one of my all-time favorite artists.
Seger is an excellent songwriter/storyteller for sure! My two faves that usually played together are Travelin' Man/Beautiful Loser. Might want to give that a listen
One of my favorite Bob songs! Fire Lake is another good one!
Love Bob Seger All his songs
This song is the single from Bob's Stranger in Town album, 1978, so he was only 33 ~ I'm not sure how old you think old is, but it was only 10 years after his first hit single, Ramblin' Gamblin' Man ~ And it is only 2 years after his live album, Live Bullet, from which you heard Nutbush City Limits, then it is only one year after his Night Moves album ~ Bob has an awesome "chest voice" so he can sing high, low, raspy, clear ~ I love his voice, that's what attracted me at 13/14 in 1976 when I first hear Live Bullet - Notice, he never muffles when singing lower, higher or raspy...he can annunciate every vowel and word that you can still hear clearly and understand, following his great story telling lyrics all the way through the song ~ No one ever sings wrong lyrics to Bob's songs because he is so good at his vocal delivery 🤩
Most of his hits came from the mid 70's to early 80's. He had soem scattered hits before that, and into the mid-late 80's, but "Night Moves" in '76 is when he became a household name. That and the following two albums "Stranger in Town" and "Against the Wind" are where most of his famous songs are from.
SEGER and the SILVER BULLET band at a lot of Famous songs on THEIR LIVE BULLET ALBUM TOO !
BOB SEGER and the Silver Bullet Bands BEST album was LIVE BULLET! MICROPHONE 🎤 DROP , HANDS DOWN! NO 2 WAYS about it ! , It's a double album with 15 songs ! .
Ramblin Gamblin MAN back in 1968 started BOB SEGERS road to Fame !
so many good songs but my favorite is still Feel Like a Number. so relatable.
Agree 100%
The best concert I was ever at!! American legend!! Gig Em!!!
My favorite Bob Seger song!!
Have you ever noticed so many songs from back in the day have playing cards/gambling as an analogy for something? You got everything from Motorhead to Kenny Rogers & countless in between.
Saw him on his final tour in 2019 and other then longer high notes, he could still belt them out.
Great song by Bob. For a real treat listen to early Bob Seger live Bullet. It's one of the greatest live concert recordings in Detroit Michigan...
Best Live album ever in my opinion! ❤
I agree. But I am biased. I was at Cobo Hall when they recorded it.
Agreed, Live Bullet, first Live Concert album I heard, great piece of music.
I love Bob's music 🎵🎶 so talented. Great singer song writer. He's great live ❤ love this song
I grew up on Bob Seger! My mom played music 34/7 from birth to adulthood. I knew Bob Seger and others before I started watching cartoons!
34/7 try 24/7 !
Damn straight, Thank you, Mom!!!
Lucky you
WOW! I remember my father threatening me for playing Beatle records!
everyone loves Bob Segers music
Loved how Bob almost made the low keys on Piano an extra bass guitar. One of my all time favorites.
Bob gets so much credit, and he deserves it, his band is absolutely amazing too!!!
Most PPL think BOB SEGER was Underrated! Although him and the Silver Bullet Band, made it in R and R HALL of Fame and he in Song writers HALL of FAME!
Love it!! One of the best concerts I`ve been to, 3 hours of heaven!
Me too ❤❤❤
I never think of Bob Seger as one of my favorites...until I hear one of his songs, any of his songs...then I think, he is one of the greatest of all time. Not a bad song in his catalogue. He just made amazing music.
That bottom end on the piano got me the first time I ever heard “Still The Same” and it still does. Timeless. Thanks Asia and BJ. I have been catching up on several of your Seger reactions tonight and have enjoyed them all.
Absolutely! Love his incorporation of the piano like an extra bass guitar. G'nR' used the piano like Bob Seger in songs like 14 Years.
“Still The Same” 1978 he was 33 🔥 started playing in bands 1962 at 17yrs old. He recorded Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man in 1969. 🔥🎸🔥 check out this song off 1976 “Live Bullet” 🤗
Love Bob Seger. So many great songs!
Asia & BJ, you'll love his "Rock And Roll Never Forgets" and "Katmandu"!!!!
Music was how our dads shared emotion in another generation. Seger is special to guys like me.
Ramblin Man from 1967 was Seger's first hit at 23 years old. It wasn't until his live album in 1975 that Bob Seger And The Silver Bullet Band had prominence in the rock radio world which lasted until 1985. He even still had a hit in 1987 with Take Down long after anouncing his last tour ever
My aunt married a professional gambler in her later yrs ( 60's). They were sweethearts when they were young, but she said he wasn't th marrying type back then. He said he'd only had 1 actual job in his life & that was only for 2 hrs till he walked off😅. He made a life from cards, horses & dog races, but his drinking was his problem. At least they got to spend a few yrs together before he passed. This song reminds me of him
Asia and BJ- Absolutely Love Still the same. It's one of my fav Bob Seger songs. Please do us a favor and react to Bob Peforming Still The Same live in 1978. That Live Performance is a musts watch.
I've watched just about all your videos but you need to watch Bob seger live in San Diego
Never a miss with Seger! Just click. Absolute Perfection!
Love, love, love this song, as well as every song Seger does. Regretfully, this one most describes me 🙃🙃. Bob Seger could sing a cereal box and still sound awesome!
One of my favorites from Bob.
I feel cool when I listen to Bob Seger driving in my car.
The drum sounds so nice all through this song. It's so predictable and calming
Yeah, Bob Segar's artistic prime was the 70s (like this song, iirc). In the 80s, he cashed-out some doing soundtrack work and more polished stuff. His early work, from Night Moves to, say, Against the Wind, is brilliant
Another great one that nobody really does a reaction to is Till it shines. The story. The guitar and his voice fronting the song great tune
One of my all time faves. Bob Seger always does it for me. Try Fire Lake, one of his best.
I’ve seen Bob Seger 4 times in concert. He’s still the same lol. First time I seen him was in 1980/81 (?). Last time was in 2019. He has more energy on stage than anyone I’ve seen. And this is one of my favorite songs by him so thank you for reacting to this one. I’ve been to probably over a 100 concerts so if I’m responding to a video it’s probably because I’ve seen them in concert. ❤️
PURE Seger! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GREAT! Backup singers are so Detroit soulful.!
Love Bob Seger, thanks for playing this. In the late seventies, one of my friends said this song was about me. I think I had so much confustion around me as a single in her late, late teens. Just out there struggling to get by. Had a lot of fun and some heartache. Miss those friends from decades ago. (Saw Bob Seger back then in ATL twice - it was so good.) Food back then not as important as music & recreation.
Lots of great music from this guy
So many killer songs
Asia spot on. His voice seemed to get better as he went on.
Bob is a fabulous singer and writer. You should check out the last herd and the bob seger system. You will not be disappointed. Thanks for the shout out to the Mortor city BJ. From someone who is from the D it is much appreciated. Great reaction. Much appreciated 🙏
this is the "old Bob Seger"; he's retired as of last year; I was at his last live concert and he'd lost much of that classic strong voice but was good anyhow; like seeing the Eagles, Rolling Stones, or Beatles - you know every word to every song.
Thank you for this. I haven't heard this tune for years. Bob is so good at telling a tale and framing it in a great rhythm and melody.
Watch the live version of Bob Seger still the same in concert
Gratz guys. Keep growing.
Breakdown shakedown, you’re Busted. Seger’s voice is magical in this tune. This is like a sadder version of Glory Days.
Bob is like a bottle of wine, he gets better with age
One of the best songs ever written and played..
Night moves is my favorite.
Love the piano in this song.
Really cool you’re listening to Bob, I grew up on him and probably speak for Michigan when I say I love Bob Segar!!!! His list of hits is a mile long. Why I love music so much, it’s so incredibly powerful! It can bring you up so high and can bring you to tears without any words!!!! We all need all the good music we can get, it’s good for us!!! One love to all humankind!!!!❤
Younger people hearing some of the old songs may have a hard time relating to them because unless you had a living experience with the songs growing up your experience may be different. Take this song for instance. My brother said he always thought of me when he heard this song because I use to hustle the pool tables in my parents bar when I was a kid. Unfortunately, my brother passed away 20 years ago at only 41. This song has a deep meaning for me.
Growing up I never was in to Segar, one my good friends was, my group was Aerosmith, but now that I been listening to him threw these videos I gotta say Seager the man, I mean he is one best song writers and performers out there. His songs touch on so many cool levels, and he's actually very funny in lots his songs. His band on top of their game. I now actually put him and band right there at the top of rock n roll artist and performers. Just hit me, before watching videos I did rent a tape of his from the library, one his best hits records, every song on it except 1 didn't care for, really good. I think I did see him in concert with my one buddy that was in too him but really don't remember anything about it
The picture on the album cover is a still from his video for "Like a Rock".
He was the same age as he was with most of his songs
"older than he was when he was younger", makes sense to me ;-)
My 2nd favorite song by Bob Seger, behind Ramblin' Gamblin' Man.
So much soul in the music back then..
Great storyteller! Great band!
Love this song
Absolutely no bad songs
Asia don’t forget he is coming to DFW. You will have to check the date and location! 🎶❤️😉😊
He just walked away. She was a player moving game to game. There she stood. Everybody watched her play. He just walked away. She was still the same.
This song an Fire Lake are my favorites from Bob.
A classic Seger song.
This song is about a slick gambler who always seems a step ahead. At first, Seger seems to be talking this guy up, enamored with his winning ways and how he's still the same. But at the end of the song, we learn this isn't the case: Seger turns and walks away from him because he hasn't changed, and there's nothing left to say.
Where'd you get this simplistic bull crap from, some website?
@@fidge54 Songfacts, and it's true. You need anger management.
@@fidge54 Just gotta listen to the lyrics. It's self explanatory.
You'll accompany me
Lol Seger is using the 'gambler' analogy to sing about a woman that goes from relationship to relationship, always trying to improve her odds and not giving a shit about the current or last guy she was with. As soon as it starts to go bad, she's already picked the next 'game' and she's gone
Bob watched this woman do this for years and she's still the same
I really like his old time rock N roll
Till it shines!
Imo the eagles and Bob Seger are the best story tellers in their song catalogs!
Great song, full of nostalgia
You could pick a Seger song a day for a couple months and you (and we) will be very happy
Best of the best. Legend🎉😊❤
This is kinda the rock version of Jerry Lee Lewis's "You Win Again"; not the song itself but the message of the song. The "you ain't neva gonna change, you still win every time even if you ain't no good".
Here in Michigan we call him Uncle Bob ❤
My favorite song by them
Bob Seger is fantastic,,,,top 10. 💥💥💥👍😎
You guys Always have Kool T shirts!!!!
This is to be played at my funeral because I'm still the same
This is his best song!
Bob can tell a story as good as anyone ever. You guys should get the lyrics to each song you do to get the full understanding. It can change you’re whole perception
Absolutely agree... very deep lyrics from Bob.... a true Michigan hometown hero!
Yeah, they missed the idea that he had left the woman's life years ago because she was self centered and a game player... and he runs into her years later and, wouldn't you know it? She is still the same damn game player she always was... he leaves her presence shaking his head in disgust basically
1st time I heard this was an episode of an old 80's TV show called hard castle and McCormick...
I heard he wrote this one, talking about Glenn Fry from the Eagles.
Aged like a fine wine
Still gonna push Mr Segers cover of if I were a carpenter from his Smokin LP album. 72
Yea!
Love you guys!! Just wanted tell you that. God bless ✌🏼❤
Hey BJ--nice cap---TAMU--my first home--I was born there!
The older I get the more I appreciate Bob Seger
ANOTHERRRRR ONE FROM ( STRANGER IN TOWN ) 😊YOU'VE PRACTICALLYYYY DONE THE ALBUM YOU GUYS! 😊 TIME TO GET INTO SOME CUTS OFF OF ( NIGHT MOVES ) ROCK N ROLL NEVER FORGETS, FIRE DOWN BELOW, SHIP OF FOOLS,
😂😂 me I can't tell you 😂😂
Such a great song ! Not talking about gambling ! He’s talking about her conquering every man she has been with and breaking they’ve hearts
WRONG ! He mentions cards , placing bets , a gamblers share , Bluffing ! The songs about a GAMBLER!
@@Jerry-up8bk WRONG he mentions college and gambling as a metaphor. !!!
@@Jerry-up8bk turning on the charm long enough to get you by !! Another part that’s easily telling moving game to game moving man to man speaking about a girl that he was once in love with ! ! I don’t think you would ever understand a Bob Dylan song !
Betty Lou, Hollywood Nights, Horizontal Boo, Feel Like a Number and The Famous Final Scene.
1978, I was 16 years old, hearing that piano intro makes my stomach queezy, and... that girl did me wrong.
This song will always remind me of my dad and uncles playing cards while we were camping. And yes they’re all gambling degenerates. Still the same. 😂
I had those camping uncles, too. Good times.
Gracias desde Argentina.
Great choice.
Asia and BJ, y’all should watch his CMT Crossroads with Jason Aldean. Bob is older but still amazing!
