I'm 17 and eversince I got my ass beat a couple months ago I've been trying my best to practice and study Boxing even if I have no equipment. You've given me so much knowledge and you communicate it so effectively that it sticks in your head. Thank you, Coach!!!

    Recap:
Three ways to control the range with the jab:
    1.) no step,
    2.) traditional step,
    and
    3.) half step !
    As always, awesome instruction.
    Thank you, Coach Ant !!
(Good luck to Tevin and Natalie)

      j ham -
You really see my recap as an attempt to steal Coach’s shine??
      Really ??????
The recap is for my understanding (and for Coach Ant to correct me if my understanding is wrong.)
It wasn’t intended for you or anyone else in particular (other than Coach Ant.)
More importantly, why do you find it necessary to comment negatively on a channel that is the epitome of positivity ??
We’re all here to learn and we have an opportunity to learn from one of the bests - let’s keep it positive, Bro !

Fighting my last ammy mma fight in December. I've been incorporating all of the things I've learned from your channel and it's really made a difference in the frequency I land solid punches. The details you add in are gold. Love getting a different perspective on things.

  • @clydeleto9452

Coach Clyde Buffalo NY. So true about not having to step in every time you throw the jab. Once you're in range of your opponent like you said just snap your shoulder to land it. Not to use the words of Roger Mayweather, but the people who gave a 10 thumbs down on this video, "Don't know shit about boxing".

I always wanted to learn boxing.. I had got locked up when I was younger, and in the can I met someone that used to box. I told him I wanted to learn, he asked if I was serious.. I said yes. He taught.. I learned.. Everything he showed in this video is second nature to me now.

Thank you. I don't fight, but made up my own drills to do on my own, including a stepping double-jab. Very enlightening to hear your comment that it doesn't make sense to step and double-jab. It makes much more sense to jab followed by step-jab.

During a match. Opponent can't read your jab if you master these techniques, you can work combinations off these variations and mix the combos. As always practice practice practice

Love it that's how I throw my jab now too. Anchoring my weight near the back side, which helps provide the snap. Fuck it love this bro. Even following up with that stepping jab, I love coming across stuff that align with what I'm discovering now.
I used to step jab all the time too, but I felt that made me predictable coming down the line and got picked off

Thank you, Coach Anthony for another quality video on the most important punch in boxing......the jab. By the way, no need to apologize. You work hard and do much for us boxers- in respect to your amateur boxers and pro boxers. Is there anything to suggest in regards to doing another quality instructional video? Yes, would you do an instructional video on shifting (examples: Dempsey Double Shift and Cus D’Mato Shift)? From my experiences, shifting (utilized by GGG, Manny Pacquiao, Mike Tyson, Dmitry Pirog, Jack Dempsey, Bob Fitzimmons) is an effectively aggressive tactic when utilized correctly in boxing.
    God bless and thank you,
