I need to get a spool for my 64 Dodge 440. I’m tired of one striping around town…. , I want my Mopar to be a local burnout machine. I like what you did… I drive like you do… I got the same scowl on my face that you do. I get it… thanks for showing that you still got two balls to rub together unlike many guys these days. We need to drive our old muscle cars daily again… I will retire this year and will be driving my big block as my daily. I liked your presentation.
Your comment put a huge smile on my face! If burn outs are what you like then a spool is for you. It is a shame that muscle cars are becoming a hobby for the rich. I’m glad you got a kick out of my video.
@@Duster_Garage Have a 4.11 and a Spool now and changed out the 2 piece axles, will be putting in a TH400 on the 360 and have 10.1 compression should be a real ripper
Thanks for the ride😁. I enjoyed every second. Nice set up and answered a few questions I have. I have a 70 Challenger warmed over 340. 727 Torqueflite 2800 stall. Rear end needs repair. Thinking of going 4:10 gears. But I have a 3:55 ring gear and pinion now. So I guess I need to make the decision. I do like the 4:10 you are running😃
3:21 "Like That" lmao love it!!!!!! I agree, spool and high stall is completely street able. Just depends on one's personal definition of street tolerance. Again love the videos bro way to go ^5
@@Duster_Garage Agreed, I have my Street/Strip car and I have my daily driver . My responses to you are Street/Strip based. I have a 81 Olds Cutlass with a 500HP as my Street/Strip and a 2015 ford escape as my daily lol. So its much more tolerable when we can have a choice ........aka 2nd vehicle :)
Heck yes. Your car is Great Looking and sounds good. I have a 71 Nova, 4.10 gears, locker, M/T Drag radials, 395 SBC 5200 8 inch stall. Full exhaust with tail pipes over the axle. 11.3 to 1 solid roller camshaft. Been driving it this way for years. 5 hour trips. Down the freeway at 80 mph = 4200 RPM still gets 15+ MPG. Most don't believe me, I don't care. Runs 6.75 and 101MPH @ 3500 DA on 92 pump fuel, exactly how I drive it everywhere. It takes understanding and time. Keep on Buddy.
That's a nice duster dude, i love it. My buddy bought my 4.88s out of my dana 60 and hes going to run those in his dart sport with a 4 speed. I was going to run 4.56 in my swinger but I'm making peak power at 5800 rpm so it really doesn't make sense so 4.10s it is.
I got a 323 and a 2000 stall on my 68 charger, it’s still in the shop to get finished restoring. I miss my 318 duster 3 on the tree I had in high school

Love the video. Very concise and informative. She sure is a ripper. I have to say I wouldn’t mind seeing some more of them burnouts 😏. You definitely knocked it out of the park on this one!
3.73s are a good gear. Gear selection really depends on the rpm you shift at. You want to be going through the traps at the end of the 1/4 mile near your engines redline.
@@Duster_Garage good to know, I was going across the traps at around 7k last summer. It’s a solid roller but if I go up a gear that may be too high for a big block. My motor is pretty stout but I’m not sure what it can take yet lol
Youll hardly notice any difference except cruise rpm and WOT Log onto Wallace racing calculators they can do the math for you. If you have a 27 in or larger tire 4.10 is not a ton of gear .Run a 26 in tire 4.11 manual, its just about perfect. Think people get used to new cars lugging the engine and worry that higher rpm will hurt an engine.
My wife’s car has 3.91 gears 3000 stall 440 six pack, ported heads, 11 to 1, etc.. 71 Challenger. Mine a Dart runs a 360-372, 4500 stall, 4.56 gears, w2 heads, solid roller, both street cars. The darts been running the came converter since the 90s a 9.5” J converter
Lol, i love it. Grippin it and rippin down Broadway. I was crackin up. Looks like you hit that stretch out toward abbottstown, too. Big money! I would have liked to seen you pipe off the Bairs den and maybe a couple weis markets burnouts. Maybe a homage to the past...😏
I lean the other way. Having run 3.55 gears, I now run 2.79 gears open center and a 2.5k stall. It can be a bit difficult to get off the line, just wants to spin and spin, but for street racing rolling start its perfect. Plus I do a lot of highway driving.
I can see that. I did have a 2.76 geared center section for a little while, when I was installing a spool in my 4.10 center. It was a lot more pleasant to drive on the highway.
My friend drives a '71 Pro Street Z28 Camaro. The car is tubbed with 14"X32" out back. He runs a blown BBC with a 5000 stall converter. He wanted to make a test run so he drove down the hill to a freeway ramp and made a pass on a Sunday morning. On the way home, driving up the hill, as he pulled into his driveway when his trans gave up the ghost. The 5000 stall overheated the trans. Now he runs a 3000 stall converter. As for a spool, we'd met in a BofA parking lot after midnight. The tight turns in the parking lot, you can hear the cars with a spool when one of their tires chirp. The chirping is from an axle untwisting because of the spool. Cars with hardened axles won't twist so the outside tire in a sharp turn will squawk in the turn. A stock axle will twist only so many times before snapping.
A spool and slicks tears off little pieces of concrete where there's a seam in my driveway. It's right where I have to make a sharp turn. 4.56 gears of course. I might drive it 10 miles occasionally.
Hey buddy me the one in another vid of yours I said I was happy to hear some else using Mopar Performance. I said my cam is a 168/172 way woops. It is a 268/272 with a 600 cfm spread bore Holey a 727 load flite and a dana in my '79 D150.
Sweet, I built the same car back in the 90's. Built 360 that had been bottom 11's in a bracket dart, 4000 stall and 4:10's (sure grip) but never drove it as I ran outta money. I was just a kid. Awesome to see what t would have been
@@Duster_Garage On paper it should have had a 10.90 in it in perfect conditions. I had called all the big fastest street car shops and consulted with all of them over the phone on what to do so it was a super dialed combo
I drove my 75 duster 97 miles one way with a 3500 stall and 4:56 gears posi unit in the late 90’s took 60 gallons of fuel for round trip about two hundred dollars then it has a ladder bar with no floaters for the rear end just like a top fuel car the wedges in the rear springs had it set at five degrees down at the yoke it was a blast still have everything but 3:23 gears now single spin
Late 80s early 90s drove my car to the track,4.10 gears ,3500 stall , on the highway about 50 miles one way never broke ,I guess I was lucky running mid 12s things can go wrong.those were the good Ole days
Thank You for this video. This is almost exactly what I was considering for my next build (3500 stall, 4.10’s and a spool). This gives me a good look at what life is like with that setup. Quick question…what are the power numbers on that 340? (est. is just fine, if you’ve never dyno’d it before). Please and Thank You in advance. Great car, my guy!!
Thanks buddy! It’s actually a 340 tribute car, it has a 360 in it. Engine has never been dyno’ed but it runs 11.60s in the 1/4 mile. So probably 400hp at the crank.
my back halfed big block 4 spd Nova has a Ford 9” w/3:89’s and a mini spool. Certainly DOES NOT like tight slow speed corners at all! Have had to reinforce some brackets in the back to keep the rear centered because the brackets will sometimes break. Need to add a panhard bar for insurance and less stress on those parts.
I’m glad you found it useful. I do have a large external trans cooler and deep aluminum pan. I haven’t had any overheating issues due to the fact that I have a 3 core aluminum radiator and dual electric fans.
Love this video, I've watched it three times already. Who/where did you buy your torque converter from? Do you have any recommendations? Tks in advance!
Thanks, I had fun making it too. The converter is just an off the shelf TCI 10”. It actually works pretty good. I’ve been kicking around the idea of a custom built 8” though.

Have to admit it was a nice toy had all the parts for the motor from different year's toronado 5 quart pan with windage tray took the best from different year's during breakdown after letting off the gas the mufflers weren't oval anymore they became rounded when I had it on the street but with the Edelbrock Torker intake made it a little pain in the ass cleaning it out all the time at stop sings and red lights one trick I learned to help stop manual breaks is the break pedal where the push rod to go to the master cylinder is raise the hole 1 inch that way it give you more leverage with one foot instead of two on the breaks there was too much cam for the power breaks and the torker intake didn't help eighter... I ran it at 11:50's @ 107 in the quarter a few time but more of a street toy I started out with a '67 Olds 330 pushing a little over 400 HP with the 308 duration automatic grind camshaft and 4 speed with Hurst Ram 4 inline shifter kicking myself in the ass for selling that to soon but I was busting parts almost lost a rear wheel sheared off a few blots a couple times but then I blame the times with those oval washer multi-fit back then dropped a few driveshafts as well as destroying a few 10 bolt rear ends non- posi ... Drove reverse manual valve body for 10 years on the street.Just have remember not to shift into reverse at 50 mph with stock shifter. cheap tires let tires spin
Considering how many old mopars came with 4:10 from the factory back then its not a reach. They were no high way fun but street for they sure were fun. Dakota RT and many 4x4 Durangos came with 3.90s which has been my favorite gears for well since the good old days. 1969. Love my Dakota RT on 3.90s but the 46RH (3 WIRE) With overdrive (27٪ overdrive) is an absolute blessing. The 46re is 8 wire plug. Those solenoids tend to be a problem. If I didn't have a rare car cut the tunnel save the cut out parts to weld back in . My RT Has a over the counter 2300 from mopar. The performance computer works great. Swaped it out and back in at the track .it was worth .6ths and the 390s were worth over .5ths than 3.55s in another dodge pick up. But even with that set up my RT can hit 20 mpg if I keep my speed down. I also run shortie headers people say don't work. I've got a 408 stroker setting in the wings. Buy the way I did enjoy the video.
@@Duster_Garage actually there are blast. You could go for the gen 1 they swap really easly to the 5.9s and you can cut the drivers side of 9.25 durango axle with the passenger side and it shortens the width a little over 3.125 inchesc I did it to a 94 reg cab. Fun street toy with the od. Pre 96 versions you could find a 93 ram charger mopar performance computer. And shorties.. play time
i had a 71 build w 2 heads 340 duster 430 gears back in the day i installed a 5 speed in it after many 727 and 904 ,s crazy scary Duster it pulled like a train . i raced the fastest street car in town . lets just say nobody would race me after that night
I ran a 71 Duster 340 with a 3500 Turbo Action converter and manual valve body, with 4.30 gears on the street as a daily driver for a couple of years in the mid-90's. Can you run something like that on the street, sure... but if you take it on the highway you will be doing 4,000 RPM's just to keep up with traffic, and if you have power steering, as I did, it would boil out the fluid on longer highway trips. My car even had the factory power steering cooler, made no difference, the PS fluid would boil on longer highway trips and puke all over the place. A manual steering box would fix that issue. I had a love hate relationship with the high stall converter, on the one hand it sucked how much it slipped at low speeds, on the other hand it was great when you punched it as the engine would immediately scream and the car would go sideways. In the early 90's I also ran a welded differential on a 300ZX turbo street race car I had, which is basically the same as running a spool. In all honesty it never bothered me much, it would chirp the tires on tight turns, but I never saw any damage to the tires because of it. To me a spool or a welded diff is really the least bothersome of all these things, the welded diff never bothered me much.
I would have to say, I would not want to drive my Duster daily. I never know about the p/s fluid boiling. Then again I have manual steering on that car. Good to know.
@@Duster_Garage From where I lived to my business was only a couple of miles of light to light traffic, so the converter and 4.30 gears were not an issue as the car would never really go over 40 MPH. I had other vehicles for when I took longer trips. For me, in my specific situation it worked, but if that was my only vehicle, it would really suck... The 4.30 gears would have to go for 3.55 or 3.23's. I could live with the converter and manual valve body, but not the 4.30's.
Seems to me you are an excellent candidate for the No Name Nationals. If you dont know it os a drag race event especially for guys with 500 or more subscribers whoe have home built drag cars. There are a lot of Mopar guys that raced last year and will be there again. The second NNN event is scheduled for September down at Skeston MO. Hope you can make it👊
Yes, I have heard of the NNN. I think it would be cool to go. I’m not sure how it works though, if I have to be invited or if I have to apply. I will have to look into it.
@@Duster_Garage awesome check out John Willburns YT channel he and AHRA President Dallas Brown created the event last year for guys just like you. I went to the event and can tell you it is real good time and all the racers help each other if needed. Yes there is a bracket race and a small tire shoot out but its really just for the fun of racing and guys calling out other cars similar to thier own. There was at least 50% Mopars there last year. Good luck to ya man👊
My car has a spool in it. Everyone tells me I'm going to snap an axle. Not a daily driver car meet once a week the odd track day. I was going to pull it but think after this video i will keep it.
Do you take this thing on the highway? If so what is your cruise rpm? I've always heard that if your stall speed is higher than your cruise rpm you're burning up the transmission because it isn't fully "locked" due to the difference in rpm. I don't know if that's true or not.
I don’t drive it on the highway much. At 60 mph it’s at 3500 rpms. I have a deep aluminum trans pan and a big trans cooler. I haven’t had any trans problems so far, converter has been in since 2007. Knock on wood.
High stall converter and 4:10’s are appropriate with the 340(I’m assuming it’s a 340). I had a 69 Cutlass 455 with a 3k stall and 3:73 gears Hurst dual gate. You couldn’t leave in 1st because it would just sit and melt the tires off so a quick shift to 2nd helped. Have you considered a manual valve body trans?
The valve body I have in that trans is basically a forward pattern manual shift. I modified it with a Trans Go stage 2 kit. It actually works pretty good.
Back in the day"" you go to the bone yard pull a center chunk 30$ yup" check your case no#' 789 , 742, 741, and just weld up the spider gears" but my 68 SE charger didn't like tall gears 4:10,4:88, 3:55 worked best thru the power band TCI 2500 , cheetah manual shift, 28in x 10.50 meat, solid motor mounts, from DC , big stall no vacuum, for pwr brakes , headlights, & fla heat with stop & got traffic backed up 45 min crawls, 4 core. Big RV trans cooler,
My good friend had a Aspen volare road runner" looked similar to a 70 nova 318 car, but had a T/A 340 to go in it " & built" I had a 340 non #TA motor built with a tunnel ram & velocity stacked carbs roller, billet forged internals, 550ez hp, for a 70 barracuda not cuda, 6 banger 3 on the floor clutch car but traded it for the charger & $$$ which was high option SE all power, A /C car, wish I could pop a couple of pics somehow" but yeah my friends 340 volare aspen road runner was doing mid 6's in the 1/8 at over 110" and had more with some timing advance, dropped air in rear tires , that street car was FAF" well for a N/A motor 3500 stall, it would roast pavement, the charger ate 2, gear bands, the manual valve body hit so hard with pressure it kept the727 together a lot longer but the dash felt like it going to be in your lap, harsh" but fun" universal joints didn't like it
@@tomthomas9910nice! I’m in the process of building another trans right now with a reverse manual valve body. I’m hoping it will really bang the gears. I’m in the mid 7s with my car, I would be happy if I could go a high 6 one day.
Yep the worst thing is fuel mileage.. Lol if you can call it mileage. Fractional MPGS fun and expensive. I like to split 110 out of the drum and 92 out of the pump. Then you have all the fun AND the aroma of racing fuel 👍
just because you can, doesnt mean its a good idea. 4.10s wastes a lot of gas without an overdrive. the stall creates a LOT of additional heat if you dont have a monster trans cooler. the spool makes for janky turns at low speed and even worse on the wet plus it puts undue strain on the driveline. its fun for sure, but lets not pretend that its great for a daily.
Never said it was a daily driver, it’s a street/strip car. Fuel mileage is not a concern. Have big aluminum radiator with big trans cooler in front of it and as far as the driveline. Big aftermarket aluminum driveshaft, bigger u-joint and Moser alloy steel axles.
I keep referring back to your video even a year later, I had a 3500 stall with 373 gears, so a few months ago I put 456 gears in and was really bummed when it did not take off like I thought it should. After doing some research, looks like I need a higher stall converter. I pulled my cam card and it says I have .566 intake and .578 exhaust Lunati voodoo cam with 27 inch tire. Do you think a 4000 or 4500 converter is too much? I just pulled it out today and going to take it to the converter shop this week to get it cleaned, while they are in there, he said he can make the stall speed higher. This is an opportunity I don’t want to miss any advice would be appreciated thanks.👍
@@maximuswedgie5149 I don’t think 4k stall is too high. 4.5k is probably not too high either. What is the duration @ .050 on the cam and is it a roller or flat tappet? You have an Edelbrock Victor intake manifold right? I know you’re trying to go 13s. I would think it shouldn’t be too hard but I’m in a really good area of the country to run good times. We have really good DA here. Unfair advantage.
@@Duster_Garage appreciate the reply, the duration at .050 looks like 273 intake 243 exhaust. And then underneath it at advertised duration it says 267 intake 273 exhaust. I’m kind of new at this of exactly what all that means good or bad. it’s a solid roller 386 a Holly Street dominator intake. I hope this will get me into the 13 second range and it would even be cooler if it went a little faster here in Colorado.
@@maximuswedgie5149 I looked up that cam. 237/243 duration @ 050. Lift .566/.578 and 110 LSA. I think it sounds like a good street/strip cam. As long as you have over 150 psi in each cylinder, cranking pressure test. The intake is the only thing I’m not wild about. A dual plane is better for a combo that’s less than 500 hp. The single plane is probably giving up a bunch of bottom end power. The performer RPM is a really good intake. Also, make sure your ignition timing is advancing to 36* by 2500 rpm.
@@Duster_Garage thank you so much for this. I really really appreciate you looking that up. I will focus on my intake and get a dual plane for sure. I will also check my PSI in each cylinder. I have a tester, I wanted to say thank you for checking this out, I don’t really know anybody here in Colorado that I can talk to you like this. I will do a video after these progress is made.👍👍
I have run slicks on the street but just to run a race, and when I am back home I immediately remove them. Unless you live in the desert, slicks and rain do not mix. Even a small amount of rain will have you hydroplaning into a ditch or a tree. Also slicks have no real puncture resistance, any road debris can easily puncture a slick. On top of the fact that when you run them on the street they will not last at all. They are also not DOT approved and a cop can certainly ticket you, and if he really does not like you, he can tow your vehicle. Get some DOT drag radials for the street, they are much safer, although they still suck in the rain, if you go very slow when it rains you should survive, LOL

Gear it for the cam mfr recommendations. A healthy cam is going to want to cruise on the hwy at least 3k or so anyways
3:21 "Like That" lmao love it!!!!!! I agree, spool and high stall is completely street able. Just depends on one's personal definition of street tolerance. Again love the videos bro way to go ^5
Thanks! It’s not a setup for everyone but it works great for a street/strip car and is a helluva lot of fun to drive.

Dang, that’s sweet!
Thanks buddy. That’s where I’m at, more gear wouldn’t really help me out.
I got a 323 and a 2000 stall on my 68 charger, it’s still in the shop to get finished restoring. I miss my 318 duster 3 on the tree I had in high school
Wow Yeats sharp, I had a 73 duster 340 with the same paint scheme. Glad I found your channel. I'll tune in.

@@Duster_Garage yesssss they are very gorgeous. They're the true budget hot rods, I'm planning on getting one like yours.I love the paint scheme, Plymouth never shouldn't have stopped building them. Yesss ill.keep.watching.
What gears would be good for decent street car,?? Maybe 3.73 or 3.91??? Maybe wit a 2800.to3000.stall???
@@jamesharrington4923 I had 3.55s in my car at one point and they were a nice mix of street driving and good acceleration. With a 3000 stall converter.

Thanks man. The burn outs are way better in person, trust me.
Another great video, I have 373 gears wasn’t sure if 4:10 would be too much. These videos really help me thanks
@@maximuswedgie5149 yeah, 4.10s would probably be to much.
Youll hardly notice any difference except cruise rpm and WOT
Log onto Wallace racing calculators they can do the math for you.
If you have a 27 in or larger tire 4.10 is not a ton of gear .Run a 26 in tire 4.11 manual, its just about perfect. Think people get used to new cars lugging the engine and worry that higher rpm will hurt an engine.
Yep. I swapped my 4.71’s in a Spool for 4.10’s in a trac loc. but yes that is very street able
Hell yes, I do it all the time for years. 4.10, 5000 stall 383 sbc 6.7xx all day long 350 DA . 3350 lbs 16+ mpg 2500+ miles a year.
Street/Strip, that’s the way to do it. Nice!

I subbed as fast as I could.
Sweet, we should be getting some good content from the drag strip here soon.
See that's the great thing about old cars, you set them up like youi want.
You got that right
I lean the other way.
Yes - that was fun.
5000 rpm stall is really getting up there. You need a big external trans cooler and deep aluminum pan to run on the street. And cross your fingers.
That's not what the chirping is, the axle is not twisting .
Big bolt pattern wheels n 727 trans perfect match
I actually have a 904. A properly built 904 will handle 800 horsepower. And you’ll be quicker because it’s lighter.

A spool and slicks tears off little pieces of concrete where there's a seam in my driveway. It's right where I have to make a sharp turn. 4.56 gears of course. I might drive it 10 miles occasionally.
I know it’s not ideal for a daily driver. But I’ll drive my car 100 mile round trip to the dragstrip.

That gear ratio would made it really livable on the highway.
Late 80s early 90s drove my car to the track,4.10 gears ,3500 stall , on the highway about 50 miles one way never broke ,I guess I was lucky running mid 12s things can go wrong.those were the good Ole days
Nice. That sounds just like me. 50 miles, one way, to the track I go to. Fingers crossed every time I go because I got to drive it home
Bad ass wish I could drive my duster . Salt and blizzards in Nebraska going to be a little while

I do try to avoid making sharp turns at low speeds. You’re right, a panhard bar would keep that rear centered.
man, this video was really informative. Do you have an external transmission cooler on the duster and do you ever run into heating issuesv?
I’m glad you found it useful. I do have a large external trans cooler and deep aluminum pan. I haven’t had any overheating issues due to the fact that I have a 3 core aluminum radiator and dual electric fans.
Love this video, I've watched it three times already. Who/where did you buy your torque converter from? Do you have any recommendations? Tks in advance!
Thanks, I had fun making it too. The converter is just an off the shelf TCI 10”. It actually works pretty good. I’ve been kicking around the idea of a custom built 8” though.
I know where your coming from I had a '64 Oldsmobile F-85 deluxe 2- door post with '66 425 bored 40 over custom grind came same as stick W-30 328 duration 400 turbo with 4000 stall converter reverse manual valve body and 4:56:1 rear end with clutches shimmed right it chirped all corners and 1st. Your ride is very sweet don't ever get rid of it I miss mine I should have stayed single...
Damn, now that sounds like a true Olds Rocket! Don’t worry I don’t plan on ever getting rid of that car.
But your ride is sweet there's a shop in Port Colborne Ontario Canada that is a Mopar muscle dealer he has a few cars there that he picks up and puts out for sale driving by they look sweetie but I don't know how good his body work is I have see one years ago the was acid dipped but I don't know if he still does it or not anymore that was in the late '70's it was eighter a Superbird or Daytona I seen an old Super Bee body out there that the guy down the street had then he sold it to someone but I noticed the dealership has it now been sitting there for a few years now I guess the last person who had it changed the color to purple from blue it had 383 4-gear in it as well ...
Ive had SureGrips give me more problems than that spool. It would bark-skip when I turned tight in parking lots.
Drove reverse manual valve body for 10 years on the street.Just have remember not to shift into reverse at 50 mph with stock shifter. cheap tires let tires spin
Yeah, I don’t mind it. Maybe not great for a daily driver but fun for a street/strip car.
Thank you. I always wanted one of the Datoka RTs. My bud bought a 2001 sport 4x2, 4.7 liter 5 speed. Really fun truck.
That’s awesome. W2 heads really wake them engines up
I ran a 71 Duster 340 with a 3500 Turbo Action converter and manual valve body, with 4.30 gears on the street as a daily driver for a couple of years in the mid-90's.
I putting 4:56 gears in my Camaro for street use, might throw the spool in too after seeing this!
Go for it
I have a 4,200 stall and soon to be 4.30 gear and really contemplating a spool.
The reason I got the spool is because my sure-grip unit broke and a spool was a lot cheaper than another sure-grip unit. I don’t mind it at all.

Thank you! and yes my Holley red pump is mounted in the rear.
Badass Demon by the way
My car has a spool in it. Everyone tells me I'm going to snap an axle. Not a daily driver car meet once a week the odd track day. I was going to pull it but think after this video i will keep it.
I never had an issue with the axles but I do had Moser axles.
What brand of converter? Cool video.
It’s actually just an off the shelf 10” TCI, but it works pretty good.
I’m close to this combo in my Charger. 3500-38 stall with a 4.10 727. Wondering if you take it on the highway and how it would hold up.
I don’t travel on the highway much, but when I do, I keep it to about 55mph. It will be revving at 3500 rpm.
@@Duster_Garage …buddy of mine years ago had a 340 Swinger but an auto. Those motors work do well with the manual. Always did like those.

Kind of misdriven my 68 fast back Mustang on the street with an 8" converter 411 gears & a spool..........
That does make for a really fun street combo.
Does the 8" converter do well for street driving? I have considered one. Currently run a 9.5" 3400-3600 stall converter.
@@cesareomendez6794 Mine is actually a 10” converter, but flashes to 4000 rpm.
How does a posi track rear end work on a plymouth … it just does.😂
I call it a sure-grip rear end. Posi is a Chevy term.
just because you can, doesnt mean its a good idea.
I will do a video after these progress is made.👍👍
@@maximuswedgie5149 No problem. I may have asked you before but what are you running in the 1/4 mile currently?
I'm running 4.56 spool a/ slicks on the street
Nice
I need to switch to 4.10
I have run slicks on the street but just to run a race, and when I am back home I immediately remove them.
