the back brace..your doing so good here!..love any update on this car..I handed typing..a beer.. I love this car..shes so pretty! and clean!.not just fast..
Looking forward to seeing you on the strip. Always fun ripping on the street. Good to see the car out. Looking forward to getting mine out in the season to come. Be safe ✌️
The first time I go out I plan on using the go pro so will definitely be having a video which it has been a while. I love the response of the good old 904 got some snap. 👍Take care
Yes, the reverse manual Valve body is the beast maker. I switched slap stick from my old Cuda to a BM Pro stick and was real improvement , sound like engine is in top shape too. best of luck for the drag strip. I see they are improving it and should result very nicely.I noticed that Many Racers have switched to Hoosier drag tires , As they look like they are same specs but are putting More tread width to the ground then others. I see that 30x9s and 29x9s are actual 9.5 treadwidth as example
She’s making some steam for sure. I’m hoping to get my Duster to the track finally this year. Have to finish putting the Dana 60 in her (the worn out 8.25 has got to go). Good luck.
Foreshadowing? A BLOWER?! 😮 You’re putting a 6-71 B&M on it, huh? 😮 Btw, it sounds wicked!! That trans snaps HARD!! You’re trans has no problem transferring all that torque, the rear seems to be putting it to the pavement. I think you’re absolutely correct, a new set of “10-inchers” for the rear. It’s going sweet, my guy. I love this build.
😂No blower yet. Just trying to get a stroke build planned out. The trans is working really well and the valvebody bangs the gears. New drag radials are definitely in order.
@@Duster_Garage You’re absolutely right on with that. New drag radials/slicks will make all the difference. These are “real guy” builds. For every guy that doesn’t have $100K to drop on a custom shop for a “catalog build” (that’s what I call builds where guys just point to pictures in catalogs 😂), but we LOVE pulling our primered ‘Stang, Camaro or Duster (not that yours is in primer) and blow the doors off Mr. Shiny Rims. Keep the great vids coming. I’m enjoying every single one.
@Duster_Garage hey man got sick of youtube most guys don't know how to hotrod or what hotrodding is...like you need a 100000 dollar shop and 50 grand in a car to have peeformance so I'm like yea I'm over youtube..but yea dad and Andrew ending up going I didn't go I wasn't feeling very good. Andrew got down to 4 cars Saturday dad got down to 8 cars Saturday and Sunday Andrew lost 3rd round and dad lost 4th round ..but made it there and back without a hitch so very successful. Scamp is looking tight man been blocking away...I might make a new video to show off what no money and hard work looks like ...will see...see ya man
@@Duster_Garage I am in AZ, and have always wanted to hit a track at 300 ft elevation with sub 500 DA. Everything track here is a heart breaker. Here is a 5000+ft DA run, which is pretty typical in these parts. ruclips.net/video/YiKcYR8VjF0/видео.htmlfeature=shared
She looks great! I'm still workin on my 72! Shes getting a 727. Any thoughts on basic street/strip upgrades for the trans? Running a 60 over 340 with the same purple shaft cam that you have and a LD340 intake manifold.
Nice! Sounds like a solid combo. A 10” 3500 stall converter is a great upgrade. Trans go tf2 shift kit for the valvebody. And a 4.2 ratio second gear lever.
Start with a stroker kit (416 c.i.). Trick flow 190 cc heads or Indy w2 heads. Hydraulic roller cam if you only want to push it to 6500 rpm. Solid roller if you want a real screamer. Duration @.050 in the 260-266 range. Big single plane intake with a 850 Holley on top. To get the exhaust out, TTI 1 7/8 header.
Your car looks great but that yellow isn't very stealthy. The man can spot you a mile away. It will be interesting to see what your Et's are this year.
Always good to get her out shake the cobwebs off.Things in motion stay in motion.Great stuff as always
Yes sir, you don’t want it growing roots.
Love the Duster. Among my favorite vintage Dodge model cars. It and the Dodge Dart GT.
Thank you. I love them both too!
Nice to see this beauty again!..Love this car...
Right on! Thank you

I dig it. The route was a good choice, too. I caught Esab, the pigeon hills, and was that even the old mine stretch? You even avoided the popo. 😮
You were right about all but the mine stretch. I’ll have to hit that up next time.
Looking forward to seeing you on the strip. Always fun ripping on the street. Good to see the car out. Looking forward to getting mine out in the season to come. Be safe ✌️
Same to you my friend. I would love to see your Duster on the strip this year too!

Sweet! Looking forward to it brother.
This proves you did a great job rebuilding the trans! It should be fun at the track!
Thanks. Fingers crossed for some lower ETs.
🤞
She was stepping out pretty good on that first pull!
Yeah, those slicks aren’t cutting it anymore. Time for some new drag radials.
Awesome work! It’s always sweeter when you do it yourself and can feel the gains!
Thanks Joe. It is rewarding, you get it.
that car sound awesome!
Thank buddy!
Nice hits. Car sounds STRONG ! I’m looking forward to getting to the track as well.
I can’t wait to see the R/T back on the track too! 🦶🏾
That car is awesome! I'd like to come see it run at the track this summer 👍👍
Thanks buddy! You are more than welcome to come, I run at Mason Dixon in Maryland.
Rightious sounding rod man!

I love that duster!

So far I’m lovin’ the new valvebody and trans. Are you near Mason Dixon dragway?
Sounds great! Looks great! Great job on the transmission!
Thanks Tim! I think we’re both going to have a good drag race season this year. 318willLaunch.
MOPAR is my favorite of the big 3 👍
I'm in the process of reassembling my '68 Notch-Back Barracuda.
495 HP 318/392 stroker.....
Sweet! My dad had a ‘68 Barracuda. Love those cars.
Wow really cool car!! I have a 340 warmed up a little with a new 727 on 23t roadster street rod.
Very cool! Sweet ride.
Very cool. Watch out for the buggies and what they drop in the Pennsylvania countryside
will do. I definitely don’t want to drive thru that.
Man I love that car!
Thanks! Me too😂
Excellent brother 👏 👍🏻 🙌
Right on man!🤜💥🤛
Sweet!!
Heck yeah, that trans is working good. Can’t wait to get her back on the drag strip.
I bet you can't, lol@@Duster_Garage

Yes, those 8.25s don’t hold up too good to big power. Good luck to you too.
Great video, been waiting for this. If you have your captions on at 4:40 it says “music”. It sure is.
😂😂That is too cool! I didn’t notice that before. Music to my ears!
Found it after some work. Couldn't imagine starting the engine without knowing where it was.
I won’t have started it with that washer in there either.

I gotta be honest, I miss the Scamp and the rest of the small block A-body crew. I am glad to hear you are doing well.
@Duster_Garage thanks man keep the videos coming
Thats a pretty strong 360. My 340 makes about 225 hp at the wheels. It would cost alot if money to rebuild it anywhere near 400hp
She runs good for what it is. The 340 can be a real ripper too without a ton of work.
thing really works well i like it
Thanks bud. It does pretty well for what it is.
Beautiful
Thank you
I am watching this while parked in my '69 Dart 360 A727 11.90 (at 1500 DA). Our cars sound exactly the same. Hmm, imagine that!
Nice! That’s a sweet ride brother. She runs about the same as mine too, I’m at a lower DA though. And that sound is music to my ears.

Thanks bud 💪. The horsepower is kinda an educated guess based on a calculation. Flywheel, definitely not wheel.
What’s up buddy seems like your car is from Pennsylvania. I’m in Blakeslee PA. I also have a small block.
Nice. Yep, I’m south central PA. Hanover.
Quick question I want to build a new 340 pump gas friendly, making 600 hp any recommendations

They are 26's? With 4.10 right?
Yes sir, 26x10s. And 4.10 gears.
Where and or what car is the hood originally from
That is actually the original hood to the car. ‘71 Duster Twister had the two scoop hood option.
do you buy muscle car if so i have a 1973 Dartswinger 340 motor not stock i am asking $21,500
No sir, I’ve got two Dusters. That’s enough for me.

You ain’t kidding, thing sticks out like a sore thumb. I’m hoping for 11.50s 🤞
