Thanks Roger(?) ;) It's not just been G&G who have tried to keep this quiet, many dealers have too. In fact, we know of at least one who has attempted to publicly deny that there is anything wrong at all but in the same breath, appease customers by informing them that G&G will be releasing a replacement grip. There's no problem but G&G just decided to rush-release a replacement for fun?? Complete stupidity. I understand that many have relied on a much needed sales boost with this model in an otherwise challenging financial climate but the shunning of safety over profit is unforgivable in our book.
@@airsoftworldltd6846 G&G put out a statement, what more can they do. The UK distributor for G&G is Nuprol (from G&G website) and from what I can see you (airsoft world) don’t stock any Nuprol

Ah yes G&G tried to keep it quiet to release a press statement. Thats a very good way of keeping things quiet.@@airsoftworldltd6846 Also you seem to have no problems with just selling the gun while knowing about the defect so how are you not just as bad?
Just sharing my experience as someone waiting for the levar to arrive: I was let know by the store where I purchased the pre-order that there will be a few weeks delay on my pre order for the grip. As personal experience with g&g: i had the MGCR nozzle fail on me and got replaced free (the nozzle) of charge as it is part of the top tech line and has a 1 year warranty.
Also the nozzle can dry out and unhook itself and not feed when pulling the Levar, but all you need to do is lube that bad boy up and it should be fine once you hook it back
Probably just pouring resin in the # area at the fixing point would do it, without the need to wrap. The trick is just to fill that are, leaving the holes clear and only fill to the height of the # pattern, otherwise your gas tank won’t fit back in.
@airsoftworld2051 good to know, but I meant to wrap it preemptively, before it can break. Would that be possible without adding too much girth to the handle?
@@chickenwing_3230 I know what you meant and answered your question. The bottom of the grip blows out, so no, you can’t wrap it or do anything externally because it will not fit back onto the rifle.
I already had mine pre-ordered for ETA in September so hopefully this doesn't delay it but I am glad they're fixing it. Is this issue mainly caused by people HPA tapping, or just general use? I'm not an HPA guy, but every other one of these I've seen so far has been converted
@@bangarangjack No, it’s got nothing to do with HPA tapping. All the ones we’ve experienced so far were standard green gas. Where have you seen the HPA failed rifles?
@airsoftworldltd6846 oh okay, no I haven't seen any fail or break until now. I was just saying a lot of the posts I've seen people making about this gun since it came out have been people HPA tapping, and I know that goes through the gas fill valve in the grip, I was just thinking that taking apart the grip and gas valve might make the grip more likely to fall apart or break more easily later, glad they're reinforcing it and fixing the problem right away though, even though I probably don't plan on taking mine apart anyway
@@mwjtyers8460 OK, fair enough :) There are many inconsistencies in production runs. It could be something as simple as they ran out of the ‘old’ stickers and these are the new ones. The important thing is, they all have the same grip design fitted at the moment.
I’d wait for the new grips to be available if you’re going for a 15”. The 7” is less likely to fail without the stock fitted. However, they all need changed at some point for safety reasons. If you really want the 15” now, just take the stock off and try not to impact the grip whilst using it. Sounds like a stupid thing to say but you hit your rifle off things during airsoft gaming without really noticing it. It’s an extreme sport after all, right? :)
LMAO you know nothing about beta testers if you think its their fault for not finding this. Plenty of people have dropped the rifle and have been completely fine while others have barely dropped them and it happend. Its not like this is some very obvious fault happening with every gun

Could you reinforce the weak point with some kind of fiberglass/kevlar and resin wrapping so it would be less prone to break?

Can we replace the stock once it is broken by the new one ? Or we need to change the all lower ?
It’s the grip that holds the gas tank within itself that breaks, not the stock. So its a new, upgraded grip that is required, which are on the way.
