    What a great master class on dagger stroke. I just started airbrush learning one month ago with some amazing DVDs but this lesson is way more in depth and concise. Muchas gracias Mike!

    It’s a similar motion / concept to whip shading in tattooing !! But can go backwards too.. try that with a tattoo machine haha person will die .. waiting on the badger patriot 105 to arrive at my doorstep, been tattooing a grip of years but figured I’d play around w/ the airbrush in my spare time:))) can see the inspiration so heavy in letterhead / script tattoo artists from this wow. Wish I’d started sooner thanks Mike!!

    This is the best practice for doing the teeth in skulls , my gun sucks I been doing portraits and all the stuff I’ve been doing with one of the worst gardens ever made and I’m doing pretty decent but when I get my guns from Christmas I’ll be doing real good
    You have the best videos mike

    So, I've heard of dagger strokes, now I understand how to do them. Most important part, practice, practice, practoce. What I don't know is, what's it for? When do I use it? What kind of work uses it? etc....

    • @MikesAirbrush
      @MikesAirbrush  2 года назад +1

      Its not so much about using it directly(tho there is many circumstances you will, grass, fur, script lettering, etc.) Its really about training your hand, finger, and eye coordination to achieve the stroke or point that you desire without thought. Such as when you write with a pencil, you just pick it up and write or draw. This helps makes the motions with the airbrush become more fluid with your thoughts. The reason it does so is this stroke encompasses the range of the airbrush you are using. So later when you want to make a wide stroke your brain already understands what to do, same for a fine point. Good luck.

    Im having a lot of problems with this! Im also a painter and paint a lot of tear drops (whats basically the same thing) and its the opposite hand motion. We pull back for the thin and push forward for thick. My brain does not want to switch.

    been watching you for a while. we have talked in live chats. sick of looking at airbrush reviews i bought the iwata neo had nothing but problems with it. im a spray gun artist usung devilbliss 0.8 and a voylet 0.5 but need a 0.3 or lower airbrush the eclipse and micron along with the badger come up. I have money and want fine lines but the dual action is different for me compared to the spray gun so what fine nozzle airbrush with great response to trigger action can you reccomend? great work by the way
