I hate how everyone just ignores the little dialogue scene after Marie wins. It's like they just tune everything out past that part.
Yes, Marie won, but it wasn't like she was gloating about it. If anything, she was pretty civil about the whole thing, even thanking Callie for being her friend.
They don't hate each other, I don't get why people think that bashing each other to honor their 'waifu's' would make them happy if they were real. It would probably just make them sad really.

Yeah, they made up for the arguments from the last fest + opening of this one, but the dialogue still could have had a bit more. Not complaining about what we got, but I mean it's the LAST one, should have gone out with a bang guys!

Of course the power in my house had to go out on the day of this Splatfest...

It was really weird too, because apparently it wasn't even a power outage. All that happened was a fuse blew, which ended up only removing the power from the TV room. It was the first time something like that had happened, so I had no idea how to recover the power until the next day.
tl;dr, my power box decided to be a douche and cut power to the one room that I needed to play Splatoon on the day of the Splatfest
Heres the reason why marie won: you see the pro players has been helping the losing team this whole time, you see many people like callie more than marie so the pros decided to help marie

This and Splatoon 2 (they’re pretty much indistinguishable) are some of my all-time favorite games. The setting and adorable characters just give off super happy vibes that remind me of childhood. That super cute moment where Marie called Callie her best friend damn well nearly made me cry. Tbh I can’t even tell you why, I mean, it’s probably just nostalgia, but that was like... oof, 10/10.

Callie then got kidnapped by Octavio then brainwashed, and then Marie snipes the brainwashing shades right off Callie, we beat Octavio, and Callie is saved.
