I was wondering why she looked a bit different to me, I kinda feel both Callie and Marie were cuter in 1 and 2 but maybe it is just how Callie's new hair is and maybe some of her expressions
Splatoon 2’a story feels so… rushed and was kind of underwhelming, I wish Callie actually had more involvement in the fight, esodcally with how much they were hyping that part up. For example: There could’ve been a part where she attacked you 1v1, kind of like the Agent 3 fight in Octo Expansion. Or maybe after Callie was restored, she could’ve became your ally and helped you defeat Octavio and rescue The Great Zapfish
2 was basically a rehash of 1, but with Marie breathing down your neck instead of hearing Cuttlefish's wisdom. I kinda wish Callie was the recruiter/mentor in 3 so it balances things out. She was done dirty in 2 - it took a major update for her to appear after beating the campaign. And even then, she doesn't hang out in Inkopolis Square, so Marie got to enjoy every single Splatfest while Callie misses out.

I still don’t understand why Nintendo changed Callie’s hairstyle the old bow made more sense. well the new hairstyle makes a little sense actually making the bow smaller and moving it to the side makes only a little sense to me
I think Callie and Marie's faces are a bit off from previous titles, their eyes, mouth, nose seem a bit bigger than usual. They are still cute but just not as cute as they were in 1 and 2. Also their facial animations could be better instead of last gen Splat 2, compare their facial movement to Shiver and Frye and you will know what I mean. Still great but they need some tweaking to look on model more and up-to-date. Idk, maybe it was an oversight or accident, their faces just seem off
