A complete tour and history is given, including a picture of the room of Swami Vivekandana and of the museum. We learn about other main disciples of Ramakrishna as well as his wife Sarada Devi. Even in our home in Sri Lanka, we had huge 2.5 ft (diagonal) pictures of both Shri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda in our sitting room since 1950s.
I was a Ramakrishna Mission School student and in Ramakrishna Mission schools you have to study another subject called 'Dharma' where you can learn the journey of Ramakrishna and Vivekananda and their teaching of spiritual life🙏

It seems like a coincidence after watching you react to Ramakrishna's life and Ramayana at nearly the same time. Rama Krishna was the Incarnation of Vishnu in the Kali-yuga. In his last moments, he admitted to his disciple Vivekananda of him being Rama and Krishna in his previous incarnations on earth.

Ananda (a Sanskrit word) means supreme joy. This word at the end of the name of a sanyasi (enlightened being) denotes the constant state of inner joy he is immersed in.
Ex. Vivekananda is formed from Vivek (Conscience) + Ananda (Supreme inner joy)
One more thing to add to this naming scheme..
A sanyasi when he has attained oneness to all, looses all identities and becomes Anandswaroop (an eternally blissful being whose only identity is the bliss itself). Thus he attains only one identity for the world to know and that is Ananda itself.
In bengali Ananda means just 'Joy'. And for the supreme joy the world is called 'Parmananda'. The name was given to him by a king to see his infinite knowledge, intellect and kindness.

Swami Vivekananda travelled across all India as a monk begging for food before he became famous. ( Time was different back then, a monk was not supposed to own anything and begging was part of the spiritual practice as it will destroy all ego). He slept in roads without food many times and also at the Kings palaces with first class hospitality by the Kings because of his attractive personality and divinity. He also had immense love for Buddha and had a meditating buddha statue with him till he died.

I have been blessed to visit and stay at Belur Math. The Vedantic philosophy of All faiths being one is emphasised in the Ramakrishna Mission. Ananda means divine bliss and hence each name gives meaning like Vivekananda ...Divine bliss (ananda) in Knowledge ( Vivek)
Ananda means bliss or happiness.... All Ramakrishna monk names end with Ananda.... So names are like something ananda....
Prayers recited out during the very start of this video is the Prayer that I and all my school mates , friends, my sister used to Recite as a school going student from 1977 [ 06 yrs old ] to 1986 [ 17 year old ] used to recite each and every day during school Prayers. when studying in Kendriya Vidyalaya school / Central schools situated at various Indian Air Force Stations across the country.
I loved reciting this.
Today when i am 52 years old I still recite it once a day. Gives me peace. ❤❤💖💖🙏🙏👍👍👌👌From India
The suffix "ananda" in the names of the monks means bliss. "Viveka", meaning discrimination, renders Naren's spiritual name as the bliss of discrimination, particularly the discrimination that differentiates the real from the unreal. Ananda means bliss. The names are suffixed with the word ananda.
These monks were rechristened with a new name once they were formally conferred sainthood. Thats the normal practice.

Have you noticed Nicholas Tesla just sat beside Vevekananda in the parliament of religious debate in Chicagoin 1897?
Ananda means bliss. Viveka means discretion. So his name meant one who is blissful with discretion. It is the same with others. Vijnana means science. One who was full of bliss in knowledge was Vijnanananda. And so on. My words may contain error. I am yet to be confident enough to ignore or overcome my doubts.

Its also a fact that technically SwamiJi and all Sanyasis in Ramkrishna order are part of the Dashnami akhara of monks ( which was started by Adi Shankara) ..His full sanyas name , which many dont know , is Swami Vivekananda Puri and most sanyasis in the Dashnami order are named with ' ananda' suffix added just like the sanyasis of the Nath Sampraday have a ' nath ' suffix added . Hence the fact all the Sanyasi disciples of Sri Ramkrishna have an ' ananda ' suffix added is also because of their association with the Dashnami sanyas parampara .

The "ananda" at the end of their names means "joy". So Vivekananda means "the joy in wisdom" (vivek means wisdom), "Vijnanananda" means "the joy in science" (vijnan means science) and so on.
