I never thought of this before, but racing game developers probably have to implement accurate physics in their games (besides the whole lack of damage cars take when bumping into things).
@@ocelot_zz wheel it's easy. However you need to try using the pedal brakes to do it without having to flick. You want to go in ever so slightly hot and threshold brake into the corner. This will get the rear end out just enough. When you are 15-20% or the way into the corner your going to put more throttle than you expect. If you do this correct, it rotates at the same speed as the corner and virtually no counter steer. Best car to try this in is the Miata.
imagine a car who has the horsepower but uses kansei drifto to take advantage of the adversaries slowing down to get to first place and remain there ...
I will always be convinced that the mythbusters episode where they debunk drifting being useful. Maybe its not useful on the track but p sure rally drivers do it for a reason
If u wanna write in japanese romaji, that would be "Kansei Dorifuto" If u wanna do in english other than 'inertia drift' u can use 'constant drift' too. This dude using 2 language in same time 'constant drifto' What a legend 👍
This the way i have started to drift in Gran Turismo 5 and funny enaugh also with an AE86 and before i even knew what this way of making the car drift is called😃 I did know it's drifting because sideways but apart from that no clue.
no typically in a drift you use your rear wheels but as the name suggests you use all four wheels to drift and apply no countersteer heres a beamng drive video on it ruclips.net/video/cgHS3Zqchs8/видео.html
Actually you only need to turn right, let off throttle to unbalance the car, turn left, throttle, then countersteer but sometimes you can use just the throttle, I've done it in assetto corsa
its a scandi flick its not the same thing. You have to lift off the throttle. A true Inertia drift isnt possible IRL. The reason it was so special in the anime is because he never lifted he kept it flat the whole time which is not how it is done IRL via a scandi flick.
The entry is actually much easier in a MR, its the exit that takes more skill due to the weight balance. While drifting a MR isn't easy, its also not impossible.. just requires the skill to do so.
The Scandinavian flick is what you use to INITIATE the DRIFT you dense fuck. Drifting is based on the difference in slip angles between the front and rear tyres, it has nothing to due with technique. Before you open the flap in your face and spew out shit maybe know what the hell you're talking about first. TL;DR You're an idiot.
I've got the physics down all I need now is a 86, a mountain pass and some tofu
And execution.
The cup of water too

I just realized that this is the way I've always been drifting in Granturismo and other games...

Whow i did this in nfs 2015 just because i didn't want to use the handbrake, i didn't know that it was actually an inertia drift.
Thx for the vid
Kinda obvious......

Yeah, it's because drifting is faster in rally most of the time, due to the lack of grip already

yes sir
its basically a scandanavian flick but you are pinning the throttle down the whole time
I used to just do this when drifting in most games
I do this with the cart at work cause the wheels broken so its hard to turn

The best way to drift in NFSU2 if you are not in a drift event.
Because with the handbrake you'd spin anyway lmao

So, guys, here is why its called inertia drift and why its a hard technique
Its called inertia and kansei
If you lift off the gas the weight will transfer to the front and the front will get grip and the rear will loose grip
