- Spooky time is upon us (although Halloween is all year, in my head LOL)
Well, I decided to create a way to make wearable Jack-O-Lantern for ; spooky photoshoots or Halloween decor, or for whatever you want to use them.
It’s really easy, on a budget , but will take some days to make. The best thing Is, You cando multiples at once , different faces and sizes … and when Spooky season is over you can stored them for next year.
✂️Supplies: 👇🏼
Newspaper (or white Paper)
Masking Tape
Hot Glue Sticks
Hot Glue Gun
Xacto Knife
White Glue
Tap Water
Markers
Acrylic paint
Brushes
Airbrush machine, optional (you can use brushes and acrylic paint)poner el de
Sealer (mod podge for example)
A party balloon big enough to fit you head in
9” 12”, 14” (depends on your head)
📎*White Glue and Water MIX *📎
1.1 ratio
*Same proportion of water and glue *
✨Everything In the video Is really clear, self explanatory.
The only thing I want you guys to know Is ;
MAKE SURE TO ADD MORE THAN 5 LAYERS of paper strips with glue all around the balloon. Let the layers dry In between. Then, let the balloon with the 5 layers of strips dry overnight. And then, again, repeat the same process; 5 more layers the day after, let them dry In between layers and then to dry overnight.
Please, understand this, THE MORE LAYERS (Paper strips of paper with glue and water) YOU ADD, the STURDIER and DURABLE its gonna be.
This The method I developed, you can do Changes If you want. Whatever’ works for you.
If you make it, don't forget to tag me in all of my social media. I want to see your creations🙌🏻
and that helps me grow too.

Did u use anything to cover your face when wearing? I want to do this as a Halloween costume but don't want to be able to see my face.
Yes I did. But you can actually glue some dark mesh (see through fabric) from the inside to cover the holes of the eyes, mouth and nose. So , nobody can see your face , but you can still be able to see through the mesh.
@@darkclementineart00 thank you so much.
My Ballon always rips the paper-mache why?
1:40 did you make the other pumpkin's face
at the bottom
I am making my son a tricky the clown costume for Halloween , he’s 11 . I see in the description that you mentioned a glue like mod podge but in the video you were using something else ? Would any white glue work ?? I’ve never been successful with paper mache although I love it .. thanks . Happy Halloween xoxo
Elmer's glue works too. It's what I usually use, and it's cheaper than mod podge when you need larger quantities
Any “white school glue” with water!
Thank you both so much ! I I am going for it .. xoxoxo
I tried this and idk what I did wrong but the face falls in on itself 😒 truly annoying but I shall try it again
Hello! 🙂Probably needs more paper layers. That’s the most common mistake. Don’t worry! I’m rooting for you! Let the layers dry in between. Like half hour with a fan. Do like 5 layers. And let whole thing dry overnight and do the same thing all over a second time or maybe a third. The more layers, the better and sturdier it’s gonna be. 🎃 Happy Halloween!
Airbrush is like $40 😞 and I don't think it would look the same with a regular brush 😩
Use make up x
