Here’s the backstory on this convo: Tony Mirra was trying to get Donnie killed by telling the bosses that he made $250K on drug deals and didn’t kick the money back up. Sonny Black and Lefty had to represent Donnie and defend him in 3 of these sit downs in which they won all three. If they lost any of the sit downs, Donnie would of been sent for and killed. On the tapes, Donnie asks Left to repeat himself numerous times for future court case evidence.
I saw the movie for the second time yesterday, hadn't seen it in years. It was really a great film, the two leads were excellent. JDepp clearly conveyed the conflict he was under, especially in the scenes at home with his wife. Anne Heche was very good in her role, very believable. Thanks for posting the clip!
When Mirra got out of jail, Brasco had since become close with Ruggiero and was working under him. Mirra argued that Brasco belonged to him, not Ruggiero. Mirra took the issue right to the top and had several meetings over the Donnie Brasco situation. In the end, Ruggiero won and Donnie Brasco belonged to him. At one of the meetings, Mirra accused Brasco of stealing $250,000 but Pistone was judged innocent.

I don't think people realize how much is potentially on the line here. The undercover agent could have lost his life over these accusations, as well as Rocky and possibly Lefty as well. I do not know whatever to happened to this Rocky guy, who was also an undercover agent, but I do know that he started a lot of trouble for Donnie. I would really like to know why. The fact that he got out alive, if he even did, is amazing to me. If he did, then I would imagine that he would have been disciplined by the FBI or Pistone himself, for almost getting him killed. Undercover agents are supposed to protect one another, not make false accusations that could potentially get one of them killed. I mean think about it. Someone in this situation is lying, and that is grounds for a good "whacking" where many of these guys are concerned. It would not surprise me to learn that the undercover agent Rocky had something bad happen to him. I'm sure that the information is available somewhere, but I've never heard Pistone mention anything about this guy or what happened to him.
