I loved that movie back in my youth ! What more did a young teen want more than heavy metal and horror? Well maybe one more thing I still have a big box vhs copy I bought when my local vhs store closed !!! I was sad the store closed but happy I got loads of horror vhs & posters 🧟♂️🎃
I love going into my theater and watching Coraline in 3D with my nieces. They love it. One was freaked out cause it looked like the needle was coming straight at her.
Phil Tippet's Mad God is a masterpiece of horror animation. Some of the most ambitious and detailed stop motion, and it was all a self funded passion project that took decades to make. And it just looks fantastic, it's actually scary in the atmosphere and setting
Such a well-made but utterly bizarre movie. I seem to remember a Job Bob Brigg's interview with Phil Tippet. Tippet was asked about the story and he said, "What story?" It has a weird nightmare logic to it. Things happen quickly and urgently, but don't make any sense.
I LOVE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS! I just got back from Pittsburgh with a Meet & Greet tour of the Buffalo Bill house with actress Brook Smith! It was AWESOME! 🤘... Took a picture with her in the well too!
Creepshow 1982 film (Warner Bros.) Release info.. "Creepshow was given a wide release by Warner Bros. on Wednesday, November 10, 1982. In its opening weekend, Creepshow grossed $5,870,889 from 1,127 theatres, ranking number 1 at the U.S. box office, replacing First Blood in the top spot, and had a five-day total of $8,003,017. In total it grossed $21,028,755 in the United States and Canada, making it the highest grossing horror film for the Warner Bros. studio that year."
3:31 Heathers is a good one too... Not necessarily a horror movie, but Christian Slater and Wynona Ryder do get into the serial killer roles quite nicely.
Heathers is definitely a classic. I just rewatched it recently and it’s still soooo good. I was a teenager when I first saw it and it holds up really well 🖤
5:50 Two movies that always get my heart going are the new Blair Witch, that scene where she's crawling underground, and the other is Hereditary... That one is a masterpiece.
Love the Scooby addition, and for the who dunnit day I think I have to do a giallo. Kinda surprised no specific horror categories like creature feature or body horror.
I'm so here for this challenge and I'm usually not a fan of challenges but this is great. Also I was confused at first until you said you filmed this in June as I know from your Insta story that you're sick. But thanks for this Kylie and I hope you feel better soon!
There's an embaressing number of challenge slots that I could use to justify rewatching Doctor Sleep, and for that I thank you because I was running out of explainable reasons to keep rewatching my favorite movie.
YES I'm so excited for this 😁 My movie pick for Halloween itself is always Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark now, since it takes place on and around Halloween, it's one of my fav horror movies, and it just has comforting vibes for me (overlapping days haha). But for the rest of the month I might end up copying some of your choices tbh! Spooky season is the best!!
@@HauntedHippie Ikr it's just so good and it has great fall vibes too! Also, I love that you filmed this back in June lol. The prepwork for spooky season is truly one of the most delightful parts about it.
Nice collection of movies to watch, I pretty much enjoy them all. Also yess it's Halloween all year long, tell them queen. Maggot mommy knows whats best for her cult. I'm glad we love final chapter, part 6 and 7. My favorites in the franchise too
“Oh and its JUNE!” was a terrifying twist and a borderline jumpscare. I was like “noooooo it was finally almost October! I dont want to go back!” Your yellow nailpolish and ceramic hand were prophetic then. Though that hand has been there forever……w…wait a minute. I kinda want to go Full Data Nerd and figure out the shortest list of movies that covers all your categories. You were naming categories and Im like “Scream. Scream. Scream. Scream…..” I’ll close with a classic Spooky Season Quote: “IT SAWZZZ ALL!” - Jack Torrance, The Shining
I would love to recommend the incredibly underrated The Entity (1982) which came out the same year as Poltergeist and it is also about poltergeists but it is more focused on gender and sexual abuse. Martin Scorsese said that it is the scariest movie he has ever seen. Great video as always btw!
No love for Hellsing, Blood: The Last Vampire or Berserk? =/ I'm actually watching filler-free Bleach this season because I have never watched it all the way through. Death Note (anime + the live action films from 2006 + the tv drama from 2015) is also appropriate for the season.
@@cyclonechaos Except for Death note I still need to check the others out. Glad that someone else is enjoying the 2006 live action films. I actually prefer the ending of the 2nd film over the one from the manga & anime.
@@peterfrost377 It's also 10xs better than the knock-off that Netflix produced. Although, I heard good things about One Piece being a good LA adaptation. So maybe there's hope for Yu Yu Hakusho LA at least. I heard they're also going to try again with DN in a TV series this time. But we already got the 2015 tv drama from Japan. I also left up more horror anime in my other post if you want to check it out.
@@cyclonechaos I really like the live action One piece. Live action manga adaptations can work but it mostly depends on the scource material itself, the people they hire & how they choose to adapt it. Some of my other favorite ones are :) Rurouni Kenshin films, Oldboy 2003, Ichi the killer & Alice in Borderland show. There's more out there, especially when it comes to Dramas & Romcoms. I'll check out your recommendations.
One of the best things about Nightmare on Elm Street 2 is that Freddy is still "scary".. he still didn't become the character known for funny one liners yet.. the practical effects are great too..
Aye, in my opinion the first four Nightmare movies kept Freddy scary, as he should be. I mean, I understand Chucky becoming more funny as the franchise goes on, but Freddy is literally evil incarnate. He’s arguably much, MUCH worse than any other slasher in terms of how cruel and sadistic he is, so portraying him as a goofball makes no sense.
@@cashthecurator666 I mean yeah he's always sadistic, but he showed glimpses in 3 and definitely by 4 he became more goofy and lighter which takes away from how "scary" his presence is on screen for me personally.. don't get me wrong I'm not saying it was a horrible creative decision to slowly go the goofy route, he has a ton of great one liners.. Part 4 The Dream Master is my favorite film in the franchise besides the original, Freddy's not "scary" in it IMO, but he's still fun and entertaining with a great screen presence..
Love this list 😍🎃 a lot of these are also on my October watchlist, like Hell Fest, Practical Magic, Urban Legend, Creepshow, Thirteen Ghosts (I found a clippy DVD for 2$ at a thrift store!), Halloween 4 and the rest of the franchise, most of the Friday the 13th franchise and most of Nightmare On Elm Street franchise!

you can have my soul, i'm not using it much lol. the monster squad is my comfort movie and brings me to my happy place since i've been watching it since i was a kid and always calms me if i'm having a bad day. an underrated favorite of mine is Stay Alive, while its not great, it does have an interesting concept that i found pretty cool
great list, this sounds super fun!! love that you have scooby on here. i'm due for a rewatch of house of wax as well. i'm guessing some of these will be streams? rad regardless. also not you getting sick but having a video ready to edit lmaoo you're an unstoppable force!
I feel ya Kylie I am really pumped up for Halloween this year and I'm already planning out of what horror movies I should watch on every night of October. Happy Halloween Kylie! 🎃
A movie I'm gonna put on my October watchlist is Anaconda starring Jennifer Lopez and Ice Cube , I know most will say it's not a horror movie but it's a horror movie to me I have a serious fear and phobia of snakes so seeing a giant ass monster snake is like one of my worst nightmares 😳😂😭
I just told the barista that this time of the year is the time I shine! She said 'I can tell' .. the clouds, light mist, the vibe .. I must've been smiling pretty wide
I love your goth- like style! Halloween is my favorite time of the year, and It is around the corner... Let's see what It holds for us ( movie wise). Let creepy come along!
Yooo this watchlist is amazing !!! I haven’t seen some of the films here ! I am SOOO excited that you will check ‘The Retreat’ !!! Also for made for tv film , I definitely recommend ‘Vacancy 2 : The First cut’ it was so good and the final girl is underrated ! Your Wednesday outfit is slayiiiing
I love this challenge idea, but with my crazy busy schedule, Im going to do a modified version of it. I'm going to pick three of the ideas for each week. Im going to watch 3 movies for the week of Oct 1 to 7, 3 for Oct 8-14, 3 for Oct 15-21, 3 for Oct 22-28, and one more for Oct 29-31, for a lucky total of 13. Today, the first, Im going to start with "Trick 'r Treat", a first-time watch for me, for " a movie set in Fall".
When you mentioned Coraline, it just reminded me that I was thinking about rewatching that since it has been a while since I've seen it but I remember loving it. I know two other movies that I'm gonna try and rewatch that I remember watching so many times when they use to air it on Cartoon Network during spooky season was the two Scary Godmother movies. Idk why but I've always loved those two movies. I also loved the Halloweentown movies too. Never was a big fan of a lot of the Disney tv films but I do remember liking those when I was younger. That and another one not Halloween related but I don't remember the name of it. Also unrelated but I absolutely love your fit in this. Probably my favorite of the ones you've worn. Oh and from what I saw on your Insta story, I hope you feel better soon
Just found your channel! I am crazy for horror as well! I'm starting this challenge quite behind but, will try my best to catch up and keep up! If not I'll make up for it into November.....like you said spooky season is all year round! I realized while viewing this, I've never seen Coraline...and I own it! Going to have to rectify that one!!
Hi! Coming back to this video randomly after 3 months 😂 by the end of 2023 I was worn out a bit of horror tbh, probably cuz I was not a fan of many releases last year but idk. But I decided to do this challenge now for February to get "re-hyped" for this years horror ^^ First of all thank you for providing this challenge, surely took a lot of time to come up with these :) Now February obviously has 29 days so imma just skip the animated/stop motion day and the scooby doo day as I am not a fan neither of animated movies in general (sorry judy hicks) nor the scooby do franchise! So here's my plan for this challenge in February: 1.Fall: The Mist (I have actually no idea if this is set in fall but it gives me heavily fall vibes because of well...the mist) 2: Scream 2 (my least fav Scream movie tho for me there isnt a bad Scream move!) 3: Ready Or Not (eeeeeeasy decision) 4: Evil Dead 2013 remake (never watched it since my first time a few years ago, lets take this opportunity provided by your challenge LMAO I am shaking already) 5: The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow (just finished watching the series on disney + so why not checking out this movie) 6: Talk To Me (rewatching one of the (for me) few highlights of 2023) 7: The Ritual (a great movie which I discovered like 2 years ago on Netflix!) 8: Seed Of Chucky (Chucky is easily my fav villain because of his one liners and my fav is from this movie when he runs over "Britney" 😭) 9: Dream Warriors (really not a fan of any movies after the original, and even then I wouldnt consider it one of my fav movies, but I am ready to give Dream Warriors another shot, maybe it will be kind of a guilty pleasure) 10: Blood & Circumstance (never heard of this one but I looked at Jack Falahee's filmography in the hope to find at least a horror adjecent movie so here we are! Could've also went with FNAF but nah not even for Josh Hutcherson never gonna watch that movie again 😂) 11: House On Haunted Hill (never watched it but it's since years on my watchlist! Gonna finally do it) 12: The 2009 remake (also never watched it but never intented to) 13: Last House On The Left (might be a generic choice but never watched this one aswell so for me it's something new!) 14: Cabin In The Woods (wanted to rewatch it anyways) 15: Ma (Octavia Spencer ❤️) 16: Jennifer's Body (I go both ways is one of the best lines ever spoken) 17: Heraditary (almost chose it for day 4 so here we go!) 18: Halloween ( :) ) 19: V/H/S (never watched any movie of this franchise so imma go with the original) 20: Terrifier (please Art doing drag using the skin and hair of that woman is one of the scariest (yet intriguing weird twisted way like let's not pretend he didnt ate) things I've ever seen) 21: Sleepaway Camp (havent watched it in a hot minute) 22: Bodies Bodies Bodies (again easy pick) 23: Saw X (easily the most gory traps in it) 24: Night Of The Living Dead (I'm so conflicted on this one as I love the movie but Barbara is one of my least favorite final girls) 25: Drag Me To Hell (I was thinking of using it for the haunted object day aswell but I think I'd rather like it here more) 26: Scream (my fav franchise and the first one is my fav movie ever so I cannot not be generic here 💀) 27: Saw 3D (I strongly dislike this movie but it was my first horror movie that I watched with 11...turned away from horror until I watched...well Scream with 13 and then became a horror fan! As much as I want to not watch Saw 3D I can't use Scream twice in this challenge and certainly not twice in a row 😂 so yeah let's go with saw 3D) 28: Halloween H2O (never been a fan of this but I wanna give it another try for sure!) 29: Terrefier 2 (let's end on a bang!!)
“Maybe your parents where F%cked up and showed you jaws at like age 7” I um...watched SAW 2, the hills have eyes remake, and jeepers creepers 2 at that age 😳
Behold my new bro crush over here. You shooting this months in advance in order to obtain “maximum content” for Halloween is so so I can’t even. I showed my husband your Scream 4 clip about you struggling to eat antacids and comparing it to Jill throwing herself to a picture frame and we’ll long story short we now say “your lemon bars taste like ass” as a compliment to everything.
I'm new to your channel and I have to say you were a lot of fun to watch. I'll be watching more of your videos and I'll definitely be taking your challenge. I'm a little behind so I'll have to catch up. For me Halloween is every day of the year. That's the life I live, but most of friends don't understand it.
Loved Summoning Sylvia! Coraline is also one of my favorite animated movies of all time. Just watched Thir13en Ghosts the other day. One of the coolest movie openings of the early 00's, along with Ghost Ship. One thing I'll never forget is watching House of Wax and immediately being, like, "Holy crap! Bobby Prinze is in this!" 😅 Think I might go with Hell Fest or Haunt for the movie that takes place over one night. I know that TECHNICALLY, both have scenes that aren't on the main night, but still... Whodunit? Probably Clue.
My list with some that people will recognise. Let's get started: It Chapter One, Halloween by Rob Zombie, Entity, Ghoulies 1 and 2, What we do in the Shadows, Monster House, Phenomena, Child's Play, Christine, Beetlejuice, The Craft, Scary Movie, Dark Shadows, Coraline, From Hell, Sleepy Hollow, Shaun of the Dead, The Dead Don't Die, Scream, Zombie land 1 and 2, Silence of the Lambs, The Shining, Trick r' Treat, Friday the 13th, Insidious, Child's Play remake, Midsommar, and 31 by Rob Zombie.
Started my spooky season early with a watch of some horror movie's I haven't seen in September already! Slender Man (2/5) Treehouse (1/5) Countdown (2/5) The Doll [2016 Indonesian movie] (4/5) IT: Chapter II (1/5) The Stairs (2/5) Untitled Horror Movie (4/5) The Rental (4/5) The Lie (4/5) Run Sweetheart Run (5/5) 2015's The Bunker (1/5) The Inheritance (1/5) Last Shift (2/5) Mara (2/5) Malignant (2/5) A Cure for Wellness (5/5) Evil Eye (3/5) Bed Rest (1/5) Qodrat (3/5) Apologies for my entirely random rating season
Having transitioned from punk to vkei [visual kei: a style/genre from Japan inspired by punk, goth, glam and hair metal blended into one both in music and aesthetic] I can attest to the notion that every day for me as well is Halloween lol. I actually have a mixed genre for each season. Horror for every season as well as anime, comedy, action and azn cinema. Usually, I'll watch a tv show that fits the season 5 days then on the 6th and 7th day would be movies. The Craft is one I didn't consider but I love it. I also like Practical Magic which is underrated staring Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock. ------------------- My fall list (if anyone's interested): *TV* Buffy The Vampire Slayer Angel Death Note (TV drama) 2015 The X-Files So Weird *ANIME* Bleach Hellsing Berserk Ninja Scroll Death Note Vampire Hunter D Blood: The Last Vampire Wolf's Rain Elfen Lied Serial Experiments Lain Betterman Requiem From The Darkness FMA 0'3 (has horror elements in it) *MOVIES* Street Fighter II (Anime) Mortal Kombat 95 Rurouni Kenshin (Live Action) Practical Magic The Craft Death Note & Death Note II: The Last Name (2006) Trick r Treat Halloween H20 Halloween III: Season of the Witch The Terminator Stephen King's IT Sphere Hellboy The Crow *OTHER* Spawn (HBO tv show) Trying to remember what else I have a playlist on my other pc lol. If I remember anymore I'll add it to the list XD. [keep in mind that I have horror spread out through the entire year so what's on this list for Fall isn't even half of it XD] Also, Nightmare Before Christmas could be both a Halloween and Chirstmas movie. Nightmare on Elm St films are my Summer films because they fit in along with Hellraiser for pride month.
Fun challenge! One year I'm going to watch one horror film/tv show episode per day leading up to Halloween! Oh, and nice touch to have your video at nearly exactly 31 minutes!
Gotta say, my favorite villain is probably unique to me, especially if we're avoiding feanchises, Cabin by the Lake has probably my fav...maybe red eye if that's considered horror. Oh no, now I don't know
I wondered why you were in Wednesday mode haha That was indeed a while ago. I recommend Ginger Snaps. I just rewatched it yesterday. Some of the best fall vibes even before the Halloween decor shows up. I need to rewatch Tales of Halloween. A great Halloween horror anthology created by Carolyn Axelle. The first two Night of the Demons movies, especially the first one. If the second ones does have underage nudity like someone in the last stream said that does make me annoyed with the director. He's a different director than the other movies btw. I still like Night of the Demons 2 but it does put a damper on it. Dumb people trying to get away with stuff. I did google that story and I couldn't find anything about it. I might've just missed it though. Great list Kylie!
My list: Practical Magic, Wednesday (school, comfort, TV, object), The Ring, Beetlejuice, The Howling, The Dark Knight, Dream Warriors, The Babysitter: Killer Queen (crush Jenna Ortega: don't judge me), The Bat, Friday 13th (original), Cursed, Snow White: A Tale of terror, The Shining, Interview with the Vampire, Ghostbusters, The Fog, Southbound, The Killing Joke, The Lost Boys, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dracula, Psycho 4, Suspiria, Scream 6, Scooby Doo 2, Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, Halloween (original), and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
a. joined cult b. thank you for reminding me of drag me to hell! big fav of evil dead 2 and saw this in the theater when it came out but have totally forgotten it (except I DO remember the ending)
Ernest scared stupid does it for me also if I’m trying to get into the Halloween spirit and want some fall vibes also, happy Halloween everyone 😊🎃🖤🪦🧛🧛♀️
This may b super off-topic but I’d love to hear ur thoughts on any Gialli you’ve seen 😅 I think it’s still a super underrated sub genre PS I agree Halloween 4 def has the best fall time vibes
Agreed! I also love a dive into gialli. I wanna say she brought this up a week or two ago, because her friend introduced her to Srrange Vice, and she said that up until then the only gialli she had seen were a couple of Argento films, one of which a lot of folks don't consider gialli, but she was looking for recommendations to dive into more.
We have matched a LOT and I swear I wrote them down before you said your choices lol 1. Hocus Pocus for me too 2. Hello Mary Lou Prom Night 2 3. Scream 4. Hereditary 5. This is either going to be Coraline or The Corpse Bride as I've only seen either once. 6. Peter Benchleys Beast (Where my fear of squids started) 7. (I've gotta think on this one, lol) 8. Gretal and Hansel needs a revisit. 9. This one is hard haha. Maybe its time for me to revisit Misery if you're gonna challenge me not to pick a franchise. 10. Nightmare 2; Freddy's Revenge 11. Crimson Peak because Tom Hiddleston is dreamy 12. House of Wax...I've never seen the original 13. Jason Lives...and Never Hike Alone 2 lol 14. I'm gonna go with The People Under The Stairs 15. I'm gonna be basic and go with Cabin in the Woods, haha. 16. Insideous 2 17. Perhaps Knock at the Cabin would be good here since I've not seen it yet. 18. By the time we get here I may need Patrick Wilson to sing to me so lets go with Conjuring 2 19. Time to watch They Live, I guess lol 20. I"m gonna revisit Tales from the Darkside here 21. Time to go with Terrifier 2. I've only seen it once. 22. I'm gonna watch the Changling. I've never seen it. 23.Watcher 24. Seems like a good space to go back into The Ruins 25. Bodies Bodies Bodies may be fun to do here 26. JEEEEZ KYLIE. Just one? Practical Magic for sure. 27. Saw 28. I'm going with Scooby Do because I've never seen it lol 29. LAWD. I'm gonna go with Childs Play 2 30. Halloween 1 and 2 31. Halloween H20
If I were picking a franchise for villain though, I would go with Saw anywhere after 5 because I think Hoffman is a fantastic villain to watch@@HauntedHippie
I'd suggest for gore hounds a film series that was the talk of the horror community when it first was released. but honestly in recent years I feel may have cooled and that would be 2009's Laid to Rest and it's equally gory sequel 2011's Chromeskill: Laid to Rest 2(RIP Robert Hall).
The changrling was spooky ghost storir movie 1982. A modern haunted house classic is The Others, it will be released on Criterian collection. Salems lot made for TV was really good & the Carnivsl of Souls is clasdic but awesome!!
Challenge excepted. Took notes, wrote down what you are watching. Now to check and make up my like. A lot of titles I own, but always willing to try new stuff. 🙂
Allright, so far: A movie set in Fall: ??? A back to school horror movie: Devil's Backbone. A comfort horror movie: Suspiria (1977). A movie that scares you: Saló (not strictly a horror movie but couldn't make it past 10 minutes in because the vibes made me nauseous, this is just an excuse to watch it). A stop motion horror movie: Alice (1988, directed by Jan Svankmajer, don't really know if it counts as horror, but I always found it creepy). A made for TV horror movie: The Langoliers (1995, not a movie but a mini-series but, come on). A movie with a haunted object: ??? A movie in a forest: The Ritual (haven't watched yet!) A movie with your favorite villain: Hellraiser (1987). A Nightmare on Elm Street Movie: A Nightmare on Elm Street (never watched it). A movie starring your crush: Possesion (1981). A horror movie from the 1950s: ??? A Friday the 13th Movie: Friday the 13th (Can't go wrong!)
A movie starring my crush: My first thought was Melinda Clarke in Return of the Living Dead 3. But then I realised that the most beautiful woman in the world has starred in several horror/thriller movies: Isabelle Adjani. Maybe it's time to watch Nosferatu again...or The Tenant....or Possession... 🤔
Yes, I a Soul mate, All my friends say I am stupid for like part 6, I Love it especially because Jason used a real Jimmy Lile part 2 Rambo Knife !! Awesome !!

Great list! Summer of Fear was so underrated. Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night 2 is also a great school horror. Gonjiiam Haunted Asylum is another great horror film. The Last Drive-In on Shudder has so many great underrated horror films. Definitely check it out. Love your videos. Keep up the good work!!
Just subbed so now i must be brave and be in your cult. Another days selection (Oct. 32 i guess) would be body horror/Cronenberg films. Lots of delightful films there to select.
Great selection of Films. I will def be watching Poltergeist, as for Halloween itself what I always watch wasnt a Film but a fake documentry that caused alot of controversy here in the Uk, called Ghostwatch. Broadcast on 31st October 1992. It came out on Blu Ray last year for the 30th Anniversary but Ive still got the Dvd at the moment.
The guy from Gilmour girls and supernatural. His name is Dean in Gilmour and Sam in supernatural. Great list and a fun challenge. My comfort movie is scream
Some of y’all really need to scan the comments before speaking oh my god. Some corrections: In supernatural Dean is his BROTHERS name and creepshow had a theatrical release. It was on a list of made for tv horror films and I was born 17 years after it released idfk I just trusted the author of that article.
Some of you know it alls are so desperate, I’m stopping it here.
lmao
Was about to bitch about the Creepshow screw up (I saw it in the theater at age 9) but... I checked the comments first!
The internet's gotta internet even at the altar of our dark mistress.
Worst thing for a RUclipsr :D Makes me soo angry every time and it just doesnt go away even after years. You spend hours doing a video and people just always comment a random mistake -___-

Trick or Treat is set on Halloween and has cameos by Ozzy Osbourne and Gene Simmons. Very fun 80s Halloween rock and roll type film
For scooby doo I love scooby doo and the ghoul school. Classic, has all the original ''monsters'' in it.
Phil Tippet's Mad God is a masterpiece of horror animation. Some of the most ambitious and detailed stop motion, and it was all a self funded passion project that took decades to make. And it just looks fantastic, it's actually scary in the atmosphere and setting
Amazing movie! I had no idea how dark Phil is🖤
Such a well-made but utterly bizarre movie. I seem to remember a Job Bob Brigg's interview with Phil Tippet. Tippet was asked about the story and he said, "What story?" It has a weird nightmare logic to it. Things happen quickly and urgently, but don't make any sense.
My 31st movie will be The Crow for sure
The Crow from Image comics and Hellboy from Dark Horse fit the tone for the season I think.

I was a teenager when I first saw it and it holds up really well 🖤
Coraline is the best movie of all time
Agreed
Coraline is super cool, I watched during the re release in September. So nice to see on a big screen
5:50 Two movies that always get my heart going are the new Blair Witch, that scene where she's crawling underground, and the other is Hereditary... That one is a masterpiece.
yeah I saw Jaws at that age and I still rank it as a movie that actually scares me.
20:20 Killer Clowns From Outerspace is one from my childhood. Haven't seen that in forever.
Love the Scooby addition, and for the who dunnit day I think I have to do a giallo. Kinda surprised no specific horror categories like creature feature or body horror.
Was trying not to be basic for the most part 🤷🏽♀️
@@HauntedHippie 🤣
So true. It's a great list
No excuses needed for that one!
Spooky season is the best!!
that's an annual watch for me too, can't explain what it is about that movie haha
@@HauntedHippie Ikr it's just so good and it has great fall vibes too! Also, I love that you filmed this back in June lol. The prepwork for spooky season is truly one of the most delightful parts about it.
I love House Of Wax. Its not good, but its mostly amazing.
The original House of Wax is amazing.
I dont want to go back!”
Your yellow nailpolish and ceramic hand were prophetic then. Though that hand has been there forever……w…wait a minute.
I kinda want to go Full Data Nerd and figure out the shortest list of movies that covers all your categories. You were naming categories and Im like “Scream. Scream. Scream. Scream…..”
I’ll close with a classic Spooky Season Quote:
“IT SAWZZZ ALL!” - Jack Torrance, The Shining
I would love to recommend the incredibly underrated The Entity (1982) which came out the same year as Poltergeist and it is also about poltergeists but it is more focused on gender and sexual abuse. Martin Scorsese said that it is the scariest movie he has ever seen.
Great video as always btw!
You got those Elvira witchy vibes, little lady. I dig it.
Coraline, Vampire hunter D 1&2, Castlevania, Ninja Scroll & Perfect blue are usually my go to when it comes to horror animated content.
No love for Hellsing, Blood: The Last Vampire or Berserk? =/
I'm actually watching filler-free Bleach this season because I have never watched it all the way through.

Ooh...so many categories where I could watch Amityville....especially the Ryan Reynolds reboot

you can have my soul, i'm not using it much lol. the monster squad is my comfort movie and brings me to my happy place since i've been watching it since i was a kid and always calms me if i'm having a bad day. an underrated favorite of mine is Stay Alive, while its not great, it does have an interesting concept that i found pretty cool
great list, this sounds super fun!! love that you have scooby on here. i'm due for a rewatch of house of wax as well.
i'm guessing some of these will be streams? rad regardless.
also not you getting sick but having a video ready to edit lmaoo
you're an unstoppable force!
The universe working for me in truly mysterious ways
My second Haunted Hippie video after subscribing. A list to play with whenever October, Halloween comes around.
This is such an amazing idea to get me back into watching horror! I’ve been looking for something to inspire me to start watching more often
I must've been smiling pretty wide
trick r treat is probably the perfect halloween movie
I love your goth- like style!
Halloween is my favorite time of the year, and It is around the corner... Let's see what It holds for us ( movie wise).
Let creepy come along!
18:18 Cube... That was a really good one too or this other one about a weird prison I saw on netflix... "Platform."
10:35 I think my fav has to be New Nightmare. Robert Englund really did his best freddy in this one.
Yay! Finally someone else puts 13 ghosts on their list!
In the Mouth of Madness for Carpenter.
Idle hands is a masterpiece ♥️
Love this! Highly recommend Killer Klowns from Outer Space to anybody looking for something different to IT or Terrified for number 21!
I'm gonna see Black Sabbath Mario bava movie ,Macabre, Cat people original and remake , Late Phases, Jack in the Box, and Tales From the Crypt series
16:22 I like "The Glass House" with Stelan Scarsgard and Lele Sobeski... or another good one is The Woman with Pollyanna McIntosh.
Love the list! I’m going to start now just cause I know I’ll miss a couple days 😂 also I’ve already rewatched Halloweentown this year!!
But I decided to do this challenge now for February to get "re-hyped" for this years horror ^^
First of all thank you for providing this challenge, surely took a lot of time to come up with these :)
Now February obviously has 29 days so imma just skip the animated/stop motion day and the scooby doo day as I am not a fan neither of animated movies in general (sorry judy hicks) nor the scooby do franchise! So here's my plan for this challenge in February:
1.Fall: The Mist (I have actually no idea if this is set in fall but it gives me heavily fall vibes because of well...the mist)
2: Scream 2 (my least fav Scream movie tho for me there isnt a bad Scream move!)
3: Ready Or Not (eeeeeeasy decision)
4: Evil Dead 2013 remake (never watched it since my first time a few years ago, lets take this opportunity provided by your challenge LMAO I am shaking already)
5: The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow (just finished watching the series on disney + so why not checking out this movie)
6: Talk To Me (rewatching one of the (for me) few highlights of 2023)
7: The Ritual (a great movie which I discovered like 2 years ago on Netflix!)
8: Seed Of Chucky (Chucky is easily my fav villain because of his one liners and my fav is from this movie when he runs over "Britney" 😭)
9: Dream Warriors (really not a fan of any movies after the original, and even then I wouldnt consider it one of my fav movies, but I am ready to give Dream Warriors another shot, maybe it will be kind of a guilty pleasure)
10: Blood & Circumstance (never heard of this one but I looked at Jack Falahee's filmography in the hope to find at least a horror adjecent movie so here we are! Could've also went with FNAF but nah not even for Josh Hutcherson never gonna watch that movie again 😂)
11: House On Haunted Hill (never watched it but it's since years on my watchlist! Gonna finally do it)
12: The 2009 remake (also never watched it but never intented to)
13: Last House On The Left (might be a generic choice but never watched this one aswell so for me it's something new!)
14: Cabin In The Woods (wanted to rewatch it anyways)
15: Ma (Octavia Spencer ❤️)
16: Jennifer's Body (I go both ways is one of the best lines ever spoken)
17: Heraditary (almost chose it for day 4 so here we go!)
18: Halloween ( :) )
19: V/H/S (never watched any movie of this franchise so imma go with the original)
20: Terrifier (please Art doing drag using the skin and hair of that woman is one of the scariest (yet intriguing weird twisted way like let's not pretend he didnt ate) things I've ever seen)
21: Sleepaway Camp (havent watched it in a hot minute)
22: Bodies Bodies Bodies (again easy pick)
23: Saw X (easily the most gory traps in it)
24: Night Of The Living Dead (I'm so conflicted on this one as I love the movie but Barbara is one of my least favorite final girls)
25: Drag Me To Hell (I was thinking of using it for the haunted object day aswell but I think I'd rather like it here more)
26: Scream (my fav franchise and the first one is my fav movie ever so I cannot not be generic here 💀)
27: Saw 3D (I strongly dislike this movie but it was my first horror movie that I watched with 11...turned away from horror until I watched...well Scream with 13 and then became a horror fan! As much as I want to not watch Saw 3D I can't use Scream twice in this challenge and certainly not twice in a row 😂 so yeah let's go with saw 3D)
28: Halloween H2O (never been a fan of this but I wanna give it another try for sure!)
29: Terrefier 2 (let's end on a bang!!)
Haunted Hippie you always make my day with your awesome videos. Stay down to earth Kylie. You're so cool. 😎
“Maybe your parents where F%cked up and showed you jaws at like age 7”
I um...watched SAW 2, the hills have eyes remake, and jeepers creepers 2 at that age 😳
Warm bodies is good! The book is actually good aswell. Also it be cool if you were a cat for Holloween!!
I read the book soo long ago, definitely a lot deeper and weirder than the movie!
Drag me to Hell was whack when I first seen it. Now it’s one of my favorite horror movies.
Mom and Dad acting strange i definitely was waiting for you to recommend Parents with Randy Quaid. Thats my recommendation for next Halloween.

Apologies for my entirely random rating season
HELLFEST NICE, that was one of my first reviews. Great video thanks for your list and recommendations 😀
I've always wanted to see Idle Hands.. might have to finally pull the trigger..

Trying to remember what else I have a playlist on my other pc lol. If I remember anymore I'll add it to the list XD.
[keep in mind that I have horror spread out through the entire year so what's on this list for Fall isn't even half of it XD]
Also, Nightmare Before Christmas could be both a Halloween and Chirstmas movie.
17:02 I have a really good one, but I can't remember the name... It might still be on netflix... "What Keeps You Alive." Damn good movie.
My favorite movie with witchcraft is the movie Tamara for 2005 starting Jenna Dewan.
Night of The he Demons is on my watchlist every Halloween
My favorite Witch Movie of all time will always be The Wizard of Oz!
That list is thicker than a BBL lol I'm so doing thisss appreciate ya ky as always 🎃💪🏾
@@karl_alan oh ya! I feel like maybe she might like the ones from the 80s more cuz there’s less gratuitous nudity 😅
We have matched a LOT and I swear I wrote them down before you said your choices lol
1. Hocus Pocus for me too
2. Hello Mary Lou Prom Night 2
3. Scream
4. Hereditary
5. This is either going to be Coraline or The Corpse Bride as I've only seen either once.
6. Peter Benchleys Beast (Where my fear of squids started)
7. (I've gotta think on this one, lol)
8. Gretal and Hansel needs a revisit.
9. This one is hard haha. Maybe its time for me to revisit Misery if you're gonna challenge me not to pick a franchise.
10. Nightmare 2; Freddy's Revenge
11. Crimson Peak because Tom Hiddleston is dreamy
12. House of Wax...I've never seen the original
13. Jason Lives...and Never Hike Alone 2 lol
14. I'm gonna go with The People Under The Stairs
15. I'm gonna be basic and go with Cabin in the Woods, haha.
16. Insideous 2
17. Perhaps Knock at the Cabin would be good here since I've not seen it yet.
18. By the time we get here I may need Patrick Wilson to sing to me so lets go with Conjuring 2
19. Time to watch They Live, I guess lol
20. I"m gonna revisit Tales from the Darkside here
21. Time to go with Terrifier 2. I've only seen it once.
22. I'm gonna watch the Changling. I've never seen it.
23.Watcher
24. Seems like a good space to go back into The Ruins
25. Bodies Bodies Bodies may be fun to do here
26. JEEEEZ KYLIE. Just one? Practical Magic for sure.
27. Saw
28. I'm going with Scooby Do because I've never seen it lol
29. LAWD. I'm gonna go with Childs Play 2
30. Halloween 1 and 2
31. Halloween H20
Amazing list!
If I were picking a franchise for villain though, I would go with Saw anywhere after 5 because I think Hoffman is a fantastic villain to watch@@HauntedHippie
House of Wax is one I forgot about!!
If you haven't seen Near Dark directed by Kathryn Bigelow, I highly suggest checking it out! Solid option for the 23rd🎃
Great video Halloween is so fun 🎃
13:00 Was Soylent Green from the 50's??? That's one I haven't seen yet.
Allright, so far:
A movie set in Fall: ???
A back to school horror movie: Devil's Backbone.
A comfort horror movie: Suspiria (1977).
A movie that scares you: Saló (not strictly a horror movie but couldn't make it past 10 minutes in because the vibes made me nauseous, this is just an excuse to watch it).
A stop motion horror movie: Alice (1988, directed by Jan Svankmajer, don't really know if it counts as horror, but I always found it creepy).
A made for TV horror movie: The Langoliers (1995, not a movie but a mini-series but, come on).
A movie with a haunted object: ???
A movie in a forest: The Ritual (haven't watched yet!)
A movie with your favorite villain: Hellraiser (1987).
This a real life Wednesday Adams over here. Lmfao
Fun idea for next year: Pick a horror movie that the band Mortician had used as an intro sample.
(There’s a lot, lol)
2:37 I'd go with Evil Dead 1... Was that set in fall or was there just an abundance of dead leaves around the cabin???
For underrated 80s horror I recommend either The Prowler, The Burning or Chopping Mall. Another film I would recommend is Tourist Trap.
Chopping Mall is so fun and on shudder now!
@@HauntedHippie also if you want to see a great haunted house film look for We Are Still Here.
