Another great video! You included a bunch of my favorites and gave me several new movies to watch. If I were to add anything to the list, it would be: Cabin in the Woods, Under the Skin, ParaNorman, What We Do In the Shadows, Lighthouse, and A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night. I remember watching and loving your 50s, 60s and 70s videos. Glad you came back to it. I wonder if you'll get around to the 20s, 30s and 40s after you do a Universal Horror deep dive. Lot of great stuff from those decades. Obvious choices like the German expressionist movies (Nosferatu, Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, etc.), Lon Chaney Sr. movies, and Universal Monster movies. But, also, other true masterpieces like the Man Who Laughs, The Old Dark House, M, Cat People, The Body Snatcher, Freaks, and The Black Cat.
Yay long video! This was another great list and they were at least movies that I actually knew lol. Also I love that intro. I almost forgot about how big mustaches were in the 2010s. Used to see people drawing them on their fingers, stickers on their books, phones, computers, backpacks. Kind of feels strange looking back, especially when I see the trends of today. But this list was fantastic Kylie! Thanks again for another one of these list videos! Oh and congrats on 29k subscribers. Can't wait for when you reach 30k!
Great video. Some of my favorite horror films from the 2010's in no particular order are 1. I Saw the Devil 2. The Devil's Candy 3. Green Room 4. Summer of 84 5. The Guest 6. You're Next 7. Better Watch Out 8. The Babysitter 9. Hereditary 10. Get Out 11. Mandy 12. Evil Dead (2013) 13. Cheap Thrills 14. Bone Tomahawk 15. Clown 16. Creep 17. Creep 2 18. The Nightingale 19. The Babadook 20. The Witch 21. It Follows 22. Super Dark Times 23. The Voices 24. Revenge 25. The Belko Experiment 26. Ready or Not 27. Freaky 28. Happy Death Day 29. Don't Breathe 30. The Autopsy of Jane Doe 31. Tragedy Girls 32. Crawl 33. Spring 34. Southbound 35. Piranha 3D 36. Deathgasm 37. Stitches 38. Curse of Chucky 39. Halloween (2018) 40. Tucker and Dale vs Evil 41. Would you Rather 42. Wolf Creek 2 43. The Cabin in the Woods 44. The Ritual 45. Girl House
Green Room and the first Creep are great picks. Would you rather not as strong on my list but still great for the insidious lyrical waxing of Jeffrey Combs. If you need a 46 I'd recommend 2010s Black Death for some historical horror to compliment the Witch
I'm a sucker for modern horror, some of the best movies I've ever seen have been from this decade. My favorites have definitely been Ari Aster's, Jordan Peele's, and The Witch! Really excited to check out a bunch of these, had my watch list open while listening
I love your passion for movies and the fact that you are always honest about how you feel about movies. I can not stand people, who just cater for other people, and don´t give their honest thoughts on the subject. That is what i am here for, to hear your thoughts and perspective on it. And it is of course completely fine to have different opinions, the world would be an awful place in my opinion, if everyone just thougt the exact same thing about everything in life. Then people would´nt be unique, and movies would´nt be either. Just keep being yourself Kylie, fuck what people think about that, as long as you are happy and enjoy what you are doing. :)
Nice video Kylie! I haven't seen as many 2010 horror films when compared to other decades, but there's still a bunch that I like/love.. Get Out has to be the best of the decade, no need to explain why.. but I will say that it's one of those films that I ruined for myself by watching it too many times in a brief time span.. I can't imagine voluntarily watching it anytime soon unless it's with someone who hasn't seen it.. Us is really good although liked it less after a couple rewatches.. it's still a great follow-up to Get Out.. there was no sophomore slump for Jordan Peele.. I LOVE Happy Death Day more than I probably should lol.. I remember when it came out I rolled my eyes and figured it was "just another stupid modern horror movie", but I watched it a couple years later after hearing good stuff about it and I obviously loved it.. I love Tree, I love Jessica Rothe she's so good in it.. it's simply a really fun film.. the sequel is okay, a step down but it's still cool because it's the same cast following the same story.. Ma is one of my favorites from the decade, it's so underrated and under appreciated.. Octavia Spencer is soo good in it.. Juliette Lewis does her thing and I like the younger final girl, forgot her name.. it's a pretty fucked up film lol.. it's unique and unpredictable.. great stuff.. Love Terrifier.. it's just old school old fashioned fun.. IT Chapter 1 is great.. didn't like Chapter 2 at all but I've only seen it once.. Doctor Sleep is solid.. I ended up liking it more than I thought I would.. Better Watch Out is awesome, but I've only seen it once.. definitely going to watch it next month.. Didn't like A Quiet Place at all, it's just not for me.. but I really like Bird Box for the most part.. I just saw Phoenix Forgotten for the first time earlier this year, kinda hated it lol.. I'm with you on not needing to see everything, less is more sometimes, it should be all about the theater of the mind.. but the film had no payoff.. Child's Play remake is okay.. don't love it, don't hate it.. I actually think Chucky looks and talks super creepy in it lol.. The Babadook is really good.. I forget the main actress name but she's great in it.. Hereditary is obviously really good.. Toni Collette is a GOAT.. not horror, but I think you'd really like Clockwatchers (1997) great indie flick with Toni Collette, Parker Posey and Lisa Kudrow.. Jamie Kennedy is in it too.. it's good stuff.. Lizzie Borden Took an Axe is a fun one with Christina Ricci and also has Clea Duvall.. it's a Lifetime movie so it has that undeniable TV movie vibe, but it's still quality.. it's campy with great acting, wardrobes, set designs, cinematography.. it was successful and well received so they followed it up with an 8 episode miniseries, didn't like it as much as the movie, but the performances were good.. neither projects take themselves too seriously.. Chloë Sevigny and Kristen Stewart star in another Lizzie Borden film that came out a few years later called Lizzie.. this one is a film that takes itself seriously.. I didn't like it but it has an incredibly creepy and disturbing scene that I absolutely love.. Escaping the Madhouse: The Nellie Bly Story is another Ricci/Lifetime collab.. it's a true story, she's a reporter who goes undercover and gets admitted into a mental hospital to report on how bad this woman's asylum was.. Ricci is good in it but Judith Light steals the show.. another quality film but still has that TV movie vibe.. Okay I'ma stop here, but Haunt is one that has been on my radar for a minute, I need to check it out!
My number one would have been either Evil Dead 2013 or Zombieland Double Tap. absolutely love these films and so of my favorite movies of all time. Pissed I didn't get to see them in theaters though.
I still need to see Saint Maude. While I'm a fan of Curse of Chucky because it gives us Fiona Dourif, I prefer Cult to rewatch. She gets to chew the scenery a bit more in that one. The 'surprise' in Crimson Peak was so unexpected lol11/14/23 The Invitation was such an uncomfortable movie to watch and so good. I'm so surprised The Witch didn't crack your top ten. If I had been someone to bet, I would've put it as your number 1, but definitely no less than 5, lol. I think perhaps you should do a deep dive on witches, perhaps make it more authentic representation of witches. February was the beginning of the Salem Witch Trials and they lasted through May. You could do a deep dive on The Witch, Gretal and Hansel, The Craft series, and maybe even Midsomar. Midsomar woiuld be a great one to do for May.
I believe the 2010’s were the strongest decade of horror since the 1980’s. I love You're Next o this it's awesome buf my favorite movie by Adam Wingard is still The Guest this kicks ass and i wish more people talked about this movie like You're Next ,also Kylie have you seen Thanksgiving and It's a Wonderful Knife yet ?
Goodnight Mommy is like the only successful austrian media out there i can think of right now, so i think it deserves the clarification that it‘s not german, but austrian 🇦🇹🙂
Kylie: “all of my clothes are too fashionable to be from -uggghhhh- four years ago……..and people who say overrated are dumb idiots with no intellect” Also Kylie: *says “underrated” roughly ten million times in this video with a pacifier necklace* Lolol i tease
The 2010s for you were like the mid-1990s/early 2000s for my generation; horror movies are always the best (hopefully) when one is a teenager/early 20-something. And now we have new filmmakers like you to look forward to!
Nah dude. Horror is just in a straight up way better place now than it was in the 90s and 2000s. There were great horror movies in the 90s and 2000s, but the overall trends of those eras lead to way more absolute garbage in horror, garbage was the average, and the great movies were much more sparse. The 2010s started the trend towards consistent solid to great horror films coming constantly. New classics are coming out like every month or two. 2022 is straight up in contention for greatest year in horror. We are kind of in a new golden age of horror where we're getting so many great movies in almost every subgenre. Elevated horror is a big one obviously, but then a lot of modern thoughtful crowd pleasers, the trend towards popular horror also taking the time and effort to properly flesh out characters and thematic work, but also slashers have been having a massive resurgence, actually giving us new icons in the subgenre for the first time since maybe the 90s with Ghostface. The 2010s did have a bit of a prudish problem though in terms of having a lot of great horror, but no one wanted to make gory movies, and paranormal horror dominated the genre at the time, and so a lot of the horror was a little too similar. But gore has progressively come back into style as we've gone into the 2020s, and the kinds of horror have become much more varied, so now it kind of feels like we're getting the best of every era of horror, including the 2000s and 90s Also I'm saying this as someone who grew up in the late 90s/2000s and was into horror from a young age. The mid to late 2010s and all of the 2020s so far have been an incredible time for the genre
“Dear god , please bring 1h 20 h0rror” sis I feel you lmao . The 2010s defined our generation like it’s a beautiful decade. Oh noo, I thought you were gonna include Split, train to busan, escape room, world war z , the taking of Devorah Logan, as above so below & frozen. Here are my top 10 : 1) US 2) Split 3) Scream 4 4) The Conjuring 5) Get Out 6) The Purge Anarchy 7) Hush 8) Midsommar 9) A quiet place 10) Final Destination 5 This is my fave decade so I get what you made it an 80 movies list lmaoooo
I was waiting for this. The 2010s (most notably around 2012) is when horror began its resurgence. Outside of a few outliers, it didn’t have a proper sense of direction in the 2000s. I believe the rise in reaction videos and the Internet/social media and new technology all being in a different place has given the masses a much better grasp and appreciation for the genre. It sort of makes you wonder how long it will take to shed the “torture porn” aspect from series like Saw and a lot of Eli Roth’s stuff (though I definitely understand the dislike for Terrifier).
I miss the 2010’s, I relished the chaos of it all. And yeah, I was a teen during the 2010’s too, I’m a 1999 baby, and that was the decade I got interested in horror. Excellent list, by the way, as always! On a side note, I really appreciate what you’ve had to say about the societal issues that Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends had to tackle in your book breakdowns. Specifically by touching on the corrupt police system and that the mob mentality throughout Haddonfield isn’t too unrealistic given our collective outrage over George Floyd’s murder and the chaos that ensued. Makes me appreciate what the movies tried to say, but I also heartily agree with the points you brought up, in particular how the police are a bunch of scumbags. #ACAB
Thanks! I love your charming and honest comments. I also loved Mary Elizabeth Winstead in "The Thing 2011", being a badass female within a group of alpha males. But this is actually a prequel to the original movie, not a remake... And I wish it was rated higher...
My favorite second decade in horror next to the 90s 2010s gets so overlooked i lived at the theater this decade what a time to be alive 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🤘🏿 thank you for this
did you not see the empty man for me it is almost perfect it is so sad its only on disney star the fox capter, hulu i guess its . but so glad it was made, wisched a phisacyl copy excisted
this is such a good list! all of my favorite hidden gems from the 2010s got some love it’s so cool to see, great taste as always from a fellow scary stories to tell in the dark enjoyer
@@HauntedHippie that is crazy frl hahah. i have seen both movies get their praise tbh, but lemme tell you something. Midsomar feels higher quality. its very beautiful & well shot & bright, and its a very nice parallel to how weird and dark the movie is. But the story and the plot falls a bit short for me, and its more shocking than it is scary. The characters weren't developed enough for me. they focused more on the cult. Which is okay tbh.. However, I prefer the theme of the movie and its message, more than the movie itself if that makes sense. Hereditary was genuinely scary and left me exhausted after the movie, because you care more for the characters and the plot is fkn brutal on you. Also i had never seen a movie play with the concept of tourettes before and it worked so well.
My big issue with Midsommar is that it's basically just a wicker man copy. It's a good quality, well made movie, but has very little originality to it (which is a problem for me, especially in horror). I don't think Kylie has seen The Wicker Man though, so I can understand why she really likes Midsommar.
Enjoyed most of the movies on the list. I love Tucker and Dale, Hell Fest and Sinister. A few that I really liked that im surprised you left out are Green Room, Dont Breathe, Strangers 2:Prey At Night. Keep killing it!
I am so glad that my horror fandom is rising throughout the 2010's, and I have seen the greatest ones that made me appreciate the horror genre even more.👏🏻 "The Conjuring" 1 and 2, "Happy Death Day" 1 and 2, "Oculus", "Insidious", "Annabelle Comes Home", "Scream 4", "Raw", "Overlord", "Hereditary", "Green Room", "Ready or Not", "Doctor Sleep", "The Witch", "The Cabin in the Woods", "Evil Dead", "Get Out", "Split", "It" Chapters 1 and 2, "Final Destination 5", "Krampus", "Better Watch Out" and "A Quiet Place" are among the horror movies that I watched during that decade, but the best horror movie of the 2010's, personally, is "Don't Breathe".💯
Yes us Patron know you too well. Once again a great top video list. I recently watched a lot of your other top lists to catch up. I don’t find too many movie I would rate differently. I’m a male and I’m 68. But I love movies. I love horror. I love the Haunted Hippie channel. So it’s easy to see that I enjoy a lot that you do regardless. So now I have a few to add to my wish list. I’m always grateful for that. I’m visiting for thanksgiving this year in Alabama. My granddaughter Lanette age 13 and I just watched your # 1 Ready or Not last night. Just an enjoyable time together. Could not have been better. Thanks for these lists.
Loved the list and it gave me a TON of new movies to watch, but I can’t believe there weren’t any V/H/S movies on this list! Yeah, everyone hates Viral, but I think it’s still a super fun watch!
Oh yeah I forgot to show love to Black Swan! I'm glad you mentioned it.. I've only seen it once but it was great.. and yeah every Darren Aronofsky film I've seen can be hard to watch one way or another lol..
Great list, I was born in 1989 and saw Scream 4 (2011) in theaters. Later I saw Evil Dead (2013) for DVD, but I don't have my copy of that movie anymore. That Evil Dead 2013 came with The Evil Dead (1981), so I saw Original and Remake for very 1st time in my life. I grew up in 2000/2001 with Alien (1979), The Fly (1986), Hollow Man (2000)... Also I must mention Scary Movie 1 & 2. Who said horror movies can't be funny?
I also did a list of this sort but with only 22 movies: 1.- Nightcrawler Cheap thrills Under the skin The loved ones Deathgasm A christmas horror story It follows Train to busan Rogue Hereditary The babadook The conjuring Wither VHS 2 The Innkeepers A serbian film Gut Cabin fever 2 Get out Dark skies Housebound Barberian sound studio
Train to Busan, Split, A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night, Paranorman, Upgrade, The Guest, The Taking Of Deborah Logan, Crawl, Terrified, Under The Shadow, Summer of 84, VHS 2?? Definitely top 75 on my books.
Great list kylie your a cool girl! 1. Halloween 2018 2. Terrifier 3. It follows 4. Haunt 5. 31 6. Tales of halloween 7. Jackals 8. Happy death day 9. The terror of hallows eve 10. A quiet place
I'm not a big fan of the 2010s horror movie. I loved Get Out, Us, All Hallows Eve or Terrifier. But the most horror movies of this decade were not for me
I'm with you on your comment about animation and how just because it's animated or a kids movie doesn't mean it's not horror. I never understood that argument of something being animated not being considered cinema or excluded from whatever genre it is because it's animated. Personally to me, animation isn't a genre. It's a medium used to tell a story through any kind of genre, including horror. Plus I also love Frankenweenie
Okay so apparently one of my favorite horror movies is so obscure that It didn’t make the list. It’s a Murder mystery that takes place in the 80’s about a boy trying to figure out if his neighbor is a child murderer. It’s called Summer of 84. It came out in 2018 and is on Shudder if anyone wants to watch it!
Great list! Only four major differences with my list: (1) IT being so high. I found it repetitive & not scary and put it closer to 75 than top 50. (2) Us, I personally have way lower for being overly convoluted, but unlike IT I didn't dislike it. (3) I had the Witch being top 10 but that's not a huge difference. (4) I have the Lighthouse in my top 5 and was surprised it wasn't on the list (not indignant about it, making a list is really hard). I just really loved it and it's one of my favorite films of all-time! Good stuff!!!
Damn it’s been years since I watched Honeymoon. That film blew me away when I first saw it. Glad to hear someone else loved it too. It’s not one you hear talked about much!
I've been thinking back on the 2000s and 2010s lately. I think the early 2000s may be my favorite decade of horror. I think the 2010s is solid, but I just have such an attachment to those early 2000s movies.
Great list! Some others that come to mind for me are Terrifier, The Lighthouse, and a couple of Ti West's films The Innkeepers and The Sacrament - the latter of which is found footage so I think you'd especially enjoy that one
Another great list! There are still quite a few of these that are on my watchlist, like The Ritual. Coherence, Get Out, Midsommar and Scream 4 are also some of my favorites! I would love a deep dive on Midsommar, that movie affected me so much
I have a coworker who I recently fell out hard with over an argument. The dumbest thing is that this argument stemmed over an opinion on a movie. He was always just so prone to temper tantrums and putdowns over the most trivial things. He's 42, and I'm 25, and it just felt like I was genuinely being bullied by someone so much older than me over my feelings about movies. Long story short, your channel has been such therapeutic/comfort food for me in the fallout of that big blowup. I don't always agree with you, but its just so refreshing to hear thoughtful and intelligent discourse about horror and to hear someone unashamedly voice their thoughts without dealing with anyone's shit. It also seems to be hard to come by outside of people in their 20s rn, but so many horror fans say "new horror sucks, the only good ones are XYZ" and they just come off so ignorant. I love the 70s, 80s, 90s, but for real... 2000s and 2010s gave us SO MUCH. I love horror from the silent films of old to the modern extremist trash of now. I just wanted to say thank you for the comfort food programming and for letting me know that it's okay to LOVE things again. You rock 🎉
Where can we watch “Sumnom”? Idk if I spelled that correctly or not, bc I’ve only heard you say it, and never seen the word lol…also, if you’ve done other horror shorts where can we go to watch the full catalog?
Now this is your longest countdown video yet! Shoulda just went for 100 lol I mostly remember the 2010s as my college years and my early 20s and I’ll just say.. it was the best of times.. it was the worst of times.. so cool that you had your finger on the pulse of the modern horror from that time. One thing I love about this list is that it has the most entries that we did Watchalongs for! Climax, the Meg, the Shallows, Lords of Salem, the Perfection, that’s five! Clearly this is your decade when it comes to your horror fandom and preference as far as favorite decade! Loved how “editing Kylie” popped up every now and then hahaha maybe it’s that beanie that’s making you forget your list! Hahaha jk I dig the look but you ditch it for the long flower dress look. I haven’t seen 4/20 masacre but my favorite 4/20 movie to watch is hands down the Big Lebowski! I’m glad to see movies like Life, a cure for wellness, Devil, the invitation, Tucker and dale vs evil, belko experiment, & tusk make the list! Some of these I haven’t seen besides all the top 10 movies of course lol but I gotta check them out! And I’m so down for a Robert Eggers deep dive! We can even do a Watchalong of the vvitch! But thank you for giving us this top 75 list! I really liked in the beginning how you numbered the 75-50 on screen. That helps me remember the list better tbh. You’re the best maggot mommy! Also I loved your little mustache in your finger haha I can grow my own thank you very much!
I just watched Haunt last night. Wow, that was wild and brutal! Sorry I haven't been in some livestreams lately. I go to therapy once every two weeks now. So after I do that I'm all talked out for a few days and your livestreams just hit around the same time haha
not the skater look being for a best of the 2010s!!! lmao the hipster/moustache and bacon era was real at first I was like how can you even do 2010’s it’s not over yet- then I remembered we’re in the 2020’s lol Climax 🔥🔥🔥 glad you included more than 50 movies in this haha gal of the house of usher is pretty solid. a bit explainy for a truly gothic/poe vibe but cool for what it is!! the vvitch- so good. so many great horror movies from this era!! I feel so thankful to have seen so many of these in theaters! happy early thanksgiving lol saw the thing in theaters, already loved the 80s one by then- I think you recently mentioned Mary Elizabeth winstead, she’s great in that. she’s underrated. right? lol tusk is so fun. love that it exists haha tucker and dale is great too. so many fun picks!! oh time lapse!!! fun movie. totally underrated. fun concept and solid execution! dang the improv/writing style of coherence sounds like a horror version of curb your enthusiasm- sounds rad!! editing Kylie is hilarious haha pssh animation haters. animation is not a genre!!! strong top 3. love how many great dark comedies there are from this era! “only sometimes. as a treat.” lmao I can’t think of anything you missed, solid list!!! great recs as always!
appreciate it! Hella forgot about bacon in the early 2010s too. Basically any "quirky" thing like bacon or mustaches or cheeseburgers were slapped on leggings and t-shirts and those little Claire's earrings and in middle school I threw that shit ON 😭
@@HauntedHippie my pleasure! for real lmao, it was an era. i too had some cringey t-shirts in my day. then idk about you but once i discovered urban outfitters in high school the game was changed hahah
I clicked so quickly on this, BUT…The lighthouse? As above so below (I didn’t like that one but still)? Don’t breathe? Zombieland double tap? Jurassic world fallen kingdom (I know you like the Jurassic movies)? And what about creep 1 and 2????! And the scariest of all… sausage party 😰😰😨

Green Room and the first Creep are great picks. Would you rather not as strong on my list but still great for the insidious lyrical waxing of Jeffrey Combs. If you need a 46 I'd recommend 2010s Black Death for some historical horror to compliment the Witch
Some slightly more obscure films to recommend. The Eyes of my Mother, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, Excision, and Bitter Feast.
I'm a sucker for modern horror, some of the best movies I've ever seen have been from this decade. My favorites have definitely been Ari Aster's, Jordan Peele's, and The Witch! Really excited to check out a bunch of these, had my watch list open while listening
I am curious to see if you have seen Starry Eyes (2013) or Darling (2015) both are underrated horror films. Love your videos. ✌
Great List!! 3 amazing horror comedies you will love:
What we do in the shadows(2014)
Housebound (2014)
One cut of the Dead (2017)
I love your passion for movies and the fact that you are always honest about how you feel about movies. I can not stand people, who just cater for other people, and don´t give their honest thoughts on the subject. That is what i am here for, to hear your thoughts and perspective on it. And it is of course completely fine to have different opinions, the world would be an awful place in my opinion, if everyone just thougt the exact same thing about everything in life. Then people would´nt be unique, and movies would´nt be either. Just keep being yourself Kylie, fuck what people think about that, as long as you are happy and enjoy what you are doing. :)
Just happen to watch What keeps you alive again a few days ago. I freaking love that movie
Where’s “I Saw the Devil” from 2010!?
My number one would have been either Evil Dead 2013 or Zombieland Double Tap.
absolutely love these films and so of my favorite movies of all time. Pissed I didn't get to see them in theaters though.
No mention of the V/H/S franchise breaks my heart. I highly recommend the second one!
I still need to see Saint Maude.
While I'm a fan of Curse of Chucky because it gives us Fiona Dourif, I prefer Cult to rewatch. She gets to chew the scenery a bit more in that one.
The 'surprise' in Crimson Peak was so unexpected lol11/14/23
The Invitation was such an uncomfortable movie to watch and so good.
Omg those were all on my list!!! I’m putting together a deep dive list haha

Goodnight mummy (ich seh ich seh) is from Austria, not Germany.
Greetings from Germany
Love the random blurts of a British accent lol
I love You're Next o this it's awesome buf my favorite movie by Adam Wingard is still The Guest this kicks ass and i wish more people talked about this movie like You're Next ,also Kylie have you seen Thanksgiving and It's a Wonderful Knife yet ?
Seen Thanksgiving!
@@HauntedHippie great !
Goodnight Mommy is like the only successful austrian media out there i can think of right now, so i think it deserves the clarification that it‘s not german, but austrian 🇦🇹🙂
it's a german film as in german language film
I love your videos!
Everyone forgets Red State. The only Kevin Smith horror movies that I like.
Didn’t forget. Just never seen it.
Kylie: “all of my clothes are too fashionable to be from -uggghhhh- four years ago……..and people who say overrated are dumb idiots with no intellect”
Also Kylie: *says “underrated” roughly ten million times in this video with a pacifier necklace*
Lolol i tease
Underrated and overrated are two completely different concepts. Also. It’s a mushroom.
@@HauntedHippie fair. Nobody was wearing beanies at raves anyway.
But gore has progressively come back into style as we've gone into the 2020s, and the kinds of horror have become much more varied, so now it kind of feels like we're getting the best of every era of horror, including the 2000s and 90s
Also I'm saying this as someone who grew up in the late 90s/2000s and was into horror from a young age.
Here are my top 10 :
1) US
2) Split
3) Scream 4
4) The Conjuring
5) Get Out
6) The Purge Anarchy
7) Hush
8) Midsommar
9) A quiet place
10) Final Destination 5
This is my fave decade so I get what you made it an 80 movies list lmaoooo
oh my god see so many I missed.. this easily could've been a top 100 hahaha
I sure you would like the movie "Love Witch" film by Anna Billar 2016 Horror comedy.
I would have put “Ghostland”(2018) in the first 50
My favorite second decade in horror next to the 90s 2010s gets so overlooked i lived at the theater this decade what a time to be alive 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🤘🏿 thank you for this
22:27 I couldn’t help but to think of Frank Ocean loll
The few I'd add to this list & pretty high up would be The Night House, Resurrection & Hellbender.
Love your picks. I'm excited to check out a few I haven't seen. Great video as always!
Also in early 2000s you forgot 28 Weeks Later and Dawn of the Dead remake 2004
Haunt is amazing and I’ll never understand why it’s not more well known
I wish there was a list in the description so I don’t have to go back through to find the name of the movie I wanted to try
I feel like I'm one of the only ones out there who loved Mother! but also Coherence is SO GOOD
only sad you didn't have ParaNorman here, but amazing list none the less
did you not see the empty man for me it is almost perfect it is so sad its only on disney star the fox capter, hulu i guess its . but so glad it was made, wisched a phisacyl copy excisted
Cut to me being embarrassed about the mustache tattoo still on my finger 💀
Train to Busans gotta be in my top 5 for this decade!!
this is such a good list! all of my favorite hidden gems from the 2010s got some love it’s so cool to see, great taste as always from a fellow scary stories to tell in the dark enjoyer
33:35 would love to see a review of Tucker and Dale.
Midsomar over hereditery is *very* spicy😂
I genuinely don’t have a single real life friend who prefers hereditary
IT being number 27 is perfect.
Enjoyed most of the movies on the list. I love Tucker and Dale, Hell Fest and Sinister. A few that I really liked that im surprised you left out are Green Room, Dont Breathe, Strangers 2:Prey At Night. Keep killing it!
Escape From Tomorrow - 2013
Doctor Sleep is sooooo underrated!
I am so glad that my horror fandom is rising throughout the 2010's, and I have seen the greatest ones that made me appreciate the horror genre even more.👏🏻
"The Conjuring" 1 and 2, "Happy Death Day" 1 and 2, "Oculus", "Insidious", "Annabelle Comes Home", "Scream 4", "Raw", "Overlord", "Hereditary", "Green Room", "Ready or Not", "Doctor Sleep", "The Witch", "The Cabin in the Woods", "Evil Dead", "Get Out", "Split", "It" Chapters 1 and 2, "Final Destination 5", "Krampus", "Better Watch Out" and "A Quiet Place" are among the horror movies that I watched during that decade, but the best horror movie of the 2010's, personally, is "Don't Breathe".💯
So glad you guys liked it! Have a safe trip!
Happy Death Day II made me cry over the mom
you are so real for putting Scream 4 in top 4! that is in my opinion the best Scream movie! no one saw the ghostface reveal coming
Loved the list and it gave me a TON of new movies to watch, but I can’t believe there weren’t any V/H/S movies on this list!
Yeah, everyone hates Viral, but I think it’s still a super fun watch!
Never seen most of them
Great top horror list 2010s
Great list, and yes Pan's Labyrinth a must see.
Saw 3D placed higher than You're Next?? You should definitely re-watch that one. Really impressive for a $1 million budget
We all know what’s going at number 1
'The Void' isn't top 10? Okay.
? Never seen it
2010s is the second best era for horror me to after the 2000s
suspiria 2018 👀
Oh yeah I forgot to show love to Black Swan! I'm glad you mentioned it.. I've only seen it once but it was great.. and yeah every Darren Aronofsky film I've seen can be hard to watch one way or another lol..
Girl you gotta watch more international horror films. You gotta see The Wailing (2016), definitely a top 5 horror film of the 2010's
I also did a list of this sort but with only 22 movies:
1.- Nightcrawler
Cheap thrills
Under the skin
The loved ones
Deathgasm
A christmas horror story
It follows
Train to busan
Rogue
Hereditary
The babadook
The conjuring
Wither
VHS 2
The Innkeepers
A serbian film
Gut
Cabin fever 2
Get out
Dark skies
Housebound
Barberian sound studio
Train to Busan, Split, A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night, Paranorman, Upgrade, The Guest, The Taking Of Deborah Logan, Crawl, Terrified, Under The Shadow, Summer of 84, VHS 2?? Definitely top 75 on my books.
Great list. Have you seen Vigil (2019)? One of the most creepy horror movies of the last 5 years for me. Worth a watch.
Going just off the impact of the first watch, I'd probably rank Sinister #1, with Evil Dead remake right up there.
Great list kylie your a cool girl!
1. Halloween 2018
2. Terrifier
3. It follows
4. Haunt
5. 31
6. Tales of halloween
7. Jackals
8. Happy death day
9. The terror of hallows eve
10. A quiet place
I'm not a big fan of the 2010s horror movie. I loved Get Out, Us, All Hallows Eve or Terrifier. But the most horror movies of this decade were not for me
The cabin in the woods. Last shift. The houses October built. Clown. Terrified.
Ohhh forgot about that one
Good thing you already did the Flanagan dive. Hush is no longer on netflix, so unavailable...😢
i love Frankenweenie so much!! i'd put The Wailing in my top 10 at least but other than that i really like the list 🖤
Damn it’s been years since I watched Honeymoon. That film blew me away when I first saw it. Glad to hear someone else loved it too. It’s not one you hear talked about much!
Seeing paranormal activity 3 with my friends in theaters……are you kidding me?! What a time to me alive
I love how young I’ve your opinion with actual context and knowledge of what you are talking about. ❤❤❤
What an ambitious undertaking. Nice one! Definitely inspiring some re watch ideas
Harper from Haunt is quite possibly my new favorite final girl
Woooo ready to dive into this! Hoping for a few I haven’t seen for my watchlist ❤
Another great list! There are still quite a few of these that are on my watchlist, like The Ritual. Coherence, Get Out, Midsommar and Scream 4 are also some of my favorites! I would love a deep dive on Midsommar, that movie affected me so much
Damn after seeing ur list i realized 2010s has a lot of good stuff, pretty underrated decade
You rock 🎉
Ah that sucks, love what you love unashamedly!!!! Always!
super excited for the deep dives! american werewolf and the witch are both some of my all-time favorites in the genre
Goodnight Mommy is a austrian movie. Not german.
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍽 everyone
Where can we watch “Sumnom”? Idk if I spelled that correctly or not, bc I’ve only heard you say it, and never seen the word lol…also, if you’ve done other horror shorts where can we go to watch the full catalog?
It’s always linked at the top of the description box!
Once nosferatu comes out omg. Need to dive deeply into that man’s life
Cabin In The Woods is the obvious missing one for me. Especially as your list is bookended by Your Next and Ready or Not
Not a huge fan of that one. 2.5 stars for me
The moustache!!! It really had us in a chokehold. Just like *the* owl necklace! Idk why but we all had the same 😂
But also wow, 2010 has some bangers.
Omg owl necklaces. You guys are reawakening deep memories
I just watched Haunt last night. Wow, that was wild and brutal! Sorry I haven't been in some livestreams lately. I go to therapy once every two weeks now. So after I do that I'm all talked out for a few days and your livestreams just hit around the same time haha
We love therapy on this channel, great use of time 👍🏼
not the skater look being for a best of the 2010s!!! lmao the hipster/moustache and bacon era was real
at first I was like how can you even do 2010’s it’s not over yet- then I remembered we’re in the 2020’s lol
Climax 🔥🔥🔥 glad you included more than 50 movies in this haha
gal of the house of usher is pretty solid. a bit explainy for a truly gothic/poe vibe but cool for what it is!!
the vvitch- so good.
so many great horror movies from this era!! I feel so thankful to have seen so many of these in theaters! happy early thanksgiving lol
saw the thing in theaters, already loved the 80s one by then- I think you recently mentioned Mary Elizabeth winstead, she’s great in that. she’s underrated. right? lol
tusk is so fun. love that it exists haha
tucker and dale is great too. so many fun picks!!
oh time lapse!!! fun movie. totally underrated. fun concept and solid execution!
dang the improv/writing style of coherence sounds like a horror version of curb your enthusiasm- sounds rad!!
editing Kylie is hilarious haha
pssh animation haters. animation is not a genre!!!
strong top 3. love how many great dark comedies there are from this era!
“only sometimes. as a treat.” lmao
I can’t think of anything you missed, solid list!!! great recs as always!
appreciate it!
Great list so many great horror movies in the 2010s
Thank you for the video! Great list
This is where the fun begins.
I literally knew that even talking about 80 movies in this video I would forget CRUCIAL titles
😅😅
Honestly I would forget more, props for at least remembering 80
Great list! Thanks :D
