I live literally a mile away
..it's not at all like these guys are making it out to be. People still live there. It's fine. No smoke anymore, or flames. You might see some steam cause it's cold in this video. It's actually a huge off road park now. Lol

Fun Facts for you: The Real Life Silent Hill church that's Located in the heart of Hamilton, Ontario Canada NOT Pennsylvania as most think, game creator (Keiichirō Toyama) has said in multiple interviews over the years he has never seen in person Centralia or the church at the time of writing up the story only heard of the Story of Centralia so the Real church in PA isn't actually the Silent Hill church as Keiichiro did visit Canada and that's the Church he used an based the design for Silent Hill game off of, which is the same Church movie used. The Cathedral Church sits on ,4 Queen St S, Hamilton ON L8P 3R3 known as The Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation of Canada. As well as all locations in the movie are with-in driving distance of Church.

You never did find the Town . I live nearby . The places you were walking ( besides the highway) were still being used.
“The Geyser” looks to me like a broken pipe or well or something . The cold water flowing on the ground looked like a natural spring. I’m pretty sure that church is also still being used. They wouldn’t bother plowing it otherwise. You can look up other videos on Centralia and actually see the town. There was like four people living there. Some years back. I’m not sure if they’re still there or not though. it would’ve been helpful if you guys tried to contact Local to show you around..

The geyser isn't a well or broken pipe, from what I've read it is possibly a pipe that was to drain the mines of ground water. In other videos I've seen, it is gushing higher as in several feet in the air then this. It was mentioned that if you go to 1 of the several mine drainage pipes after a good rain they will be flowing more. This is also said to have helped the fire in the old mines spread faster due to lower ground water levels in the mines. If thinking this is a broken water supply line for the town, there is no water treatment plant or water Tower to produce the pressure. Making this just the water draining from the mines under the area. I was just in Centralia this past weekend visiting as it's been one of my must see places since learning about it. The geyser in video wasn't but about a foot of that gushing out of the ground when I was there.
