You might want to slow when you see deer. I've lived in VA for 57 years on those back roads deer don't see a lot of traffic they will freak and bolt directly in front of your car! Also if u see one there's most likely a herd, they can pop out from all directions. Lol Please be more careful ,my husbands Uncle was actually decapitated from a deer coming through his windshield, a pretty common occurrence in VA ❤ I live right beside of Lebanon and I am just hearing about this house!! When the franklin mall got remodeled into the crown center, this mall officially died. It needed updates and no one would do so. Giant Eagle one of the first places to move out when they created the buildings for strabane square and trinity point. Theres a rumor that giant eagle had like a 100 year lease for the mall spot and are still paying (not sure how true that really is). Stores slowly moved out til there was nothing left. Where harbor freight was, i remember a furniture store was in their place and one of the last stores you were able to enter into the mall to go to. I remember going to Pizza Boy and their pizza was delicious. Giggles was a fun arcade. I remember getting fake flowers from joann fabrics before they moved out of there to go to the crown center. 2017 i went and bought light sabers from toys r us when they announced closing. Always went to that movie theater as it was the cheapest in the area since it never got properly updated before closing down. Toys r us would also shake sometimes im guessing from the highway. I was surprised to see Staples leave but i hear there were building code violations that the owners werent willing to pay to fix and forced the store to close. Wouldnt be surprised if Habor Freight and the Chinese buffet leave within the next few years

The state I live in they RIP everything down soon as it close its door to build something new

Man, I loved this mall as a kid. There was a little soft pretzel shack…. Baskin and Robbins… Shorty’s Restaurant… Giggles Arcade… JC Penny.. I want to say, Wentworths Dept Store…. Sbarro Pizza… Yeah…. So much nostalgia. This was back in late 80s and early 90s when I would go, usually with my dad. I had at least one birthday party at Giggles Arcade. Typically going here, was to get ice cream, school shopping, or to go to the arcade. We always went to the movies too. But I don’t recall that it was ever connected to the mall. It was across the parking lot from Giant Eagle. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah that alarm is for the whole building not just one area. It def notifies authorities and alarm central. Needs to be turned off asap

This was cool to see! I went there in 2009, I tried to get a good look probably 3 years ago when I came in for a visit, but everything was chained up. The auditorium was probably the best thing inside and I really wished I could have gotten a good look. I always thought eating lunch in the basement was odd

Also this mall didn’t have a food court, there was a shortys lunch restaurant and a small food place like pretzels or something in the middle of the mall. The pizza place was right inside the entrance of the main mall after the tiled area. That tiled area was a later add on.

Restaurant was a big boy years ago then was a cici’s pizza buffet for a while then nothing after that.

The Waffle House sign is there for the Waffle House near the Home Depot entrance. The owner got it from a store down south and never put it up. He’s a cheapskate asshole. I worked there. It was never located anywhere else near the mall
